Late summer vacay

We enjoyed this property, the location was excellent, the Blue Dunes Grill offered delicious food and drink options around the pool. The beach chair set up was very friendly and efficient. We would definitely come back and stay here again.

We’ve visited Miramar Beach every summer for the last 4 yrs and absolutely love staying at the Tides. Property was clean and neat, no issues at all. We loved being on the 2nd floor as the stairs were right by the condo so we didn’t have to wait for the elevator every time.

Perfect Location & Family Friendly Unit

The condo was as described. Clean, stocked, also had extra beach chairs, sand toys, and boogie board. The unit is next to the stairs which was a definite plus for us / no longer elevator waits. Also, you can see the pool from the balcony so if our kids wanted to run down in the morning, we could keep an eye on them while enjoying coffee on the patio. Which, by the way, the patio is huge and again a big bonus for a large family since we all sat out at night and read. Check in and check out very easy. We had no issues while we were there. Will be coming back !!

Perfect location and amenities

This was one of our best stays yet. We got to the condo around 3:45 pm. You can not check in until 4:00 pm. We tried to open the door with the combo they gave us at 4 and it didn’t work. Waited until 4:06, still couldn’t get in. One more try at 4:10….I called and they were able to reset the lock with the same number. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths…..1st bedroom is to the right when you walk in. King size bed with TV, dressers, nightstands and closet. In the closet there was a beach chair, beach shovels and buckets as well as a boogie board to use! Across the hall from the bedroom is the bathroom. Separate toilet/shower from the sink. Hallway had a stackable washer dryer combo which came in very handy. Kitchen had a huge refrigerator, toaster, blender, coffee maker (you can make a pot of coffee or a Keurig cup of coffee). Pots, pans, plates, cups all provided and plenty. However the coffee cups are small so if you like a bigger cup of coffee, I would bring your own coffee mug. The pantry door is locked so, you do not have any storage for food, etc. Had to put everything on the dining room table Living room and dining room spacious with TV. Couch folds out to a bed, though we didn’t use it. Master bedroom had a king size bed, TV and a HUGE bathroom. Separate shower from the tub and sinks. Also another closet is in the bathroom. The deck is amazing. You can access it from the living room or the master bedroom. Excellent view of the pool and beach. Best part was, the condo is on 2nd floor and the stairwell was right outside the door. It made it sooooo easy to go to the pool and beach. Also, the trash chute is next door too The beach was beautiful. If you have a canopy, you have to set it up behind the beach chairs that you rent. They have 2 pools. The bottom pool is for everyone. It’s a bit smaller. The top pool is bigger and for owners and guests. I was given the combo for the gate to get into the pool for owners, but it didn’t work. Quick email and it was reset for us. Fabulous condo and we are definitely renting this unit again.

Condo was very dirty, Mode and mildew in the showers. The property inspector came and looked at condo and agreed it was nasty.

Great Spring Break

We have stayed at TOPS'L many times and it never disappoints. This location is the perfect distance between Destin and 30A allowing you to experience both. The unit was clean and had a great view of both the pool and the beach. Even though it appears you are behind the Beach Manor, it does not interfere with the view. The second floor location is near a walk way up and the stairwell so you never really have to wait for the elevator. Also, if you are travelling with children that can swim alone but you are still wanting to keep an eye on, this location is great as you can sit on the balcony and see the pools easily. Overall a good unit on a great property!

A Construction Site

The management company told us that the balcony would be painted and we would not have access to it for 5 days. That would have been fine but …. Instead it was a construction site with jack hammers, air compressors and concrete sanders, etc.. For two days our door was blocked and we had to wait until the workers allowed us out! The only good thing to say is that we got our money back, for the 2 weeks we stayed at the unit, minus fees and cleaning charge.

Great view of pool and beach. Friendly staff at pool. Unit 201 needs the floors cleaned better, and under beds and rugs not swept at all from previous guests. Was told we would get a notification when we could check in, got there about 1 hour before check in, (1pm)...code didn’t work but no big deal since we were early. Waited and went to eat, still no text or new code, so we went back and tried code again, this time it worked. By now, our kids were fussy and we were all tired and hot. Would be nice to have the check in process work like it was supposed to, but overall the resort and place was great!

Last vaca of the summer

This was our last little vacation of the summer and it was terrific. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The bedding was perfect. Everything was great. The weather too!

Good view of water inside and out!

This was a nice location with a beautiful view. The overall condion of the condo was good however there was a hole in the plaster over the front door, a mismatched strip of paint across the master bedroom door and poor painting along the baseboard in the hallway. The property managers -housekeeping were helpful and prompt to address a significant leak from the clothes washer. They provided us with extra towels we needed to soak up the water coming from the washer. We had to put down several bath towels below the washer every time we ran a load to keep the water from going down the hallway. We found out that the owner was aware of the leak ( we should have been told before renting) and had ordered a washer but it wouldn’t be here for a few more days. We would have certainly liked to have known about this before we stepped in all the water on the floor on the first night. This was very inconvenient because we packed light expecting to be able to do laundry on a daily basis which we did not because it was such a hassle. We were very glad we didn’t leave the washer running when we went to bed the first night. The dishwasher also had water streaming out over the bottom plate of the dishwasher door. Lastly, when we arrived the bathrooms were not clean especially the tubs and shower which were black in the bottom with hair and the corners of the tub had hair and dust and dried shampoo or soap. Splattered toothpaste on the faucets in the master bath. We did call housekeeping and they came promptly to clean the tubs and sinks in the bathrooms. They were very apologetic and did a good job. It should not have been required for them to come. It should have been cleaned properly before we arrived. So we would have given this a higher rating but the uncleanliness of the bathrooms and the condition of the appliances prevented us from doing so.

Great resort and room!

This is our second stay at The Tides at Tops’l resort and it was one our best stays yet. The room is perfect with two young kids with being close to the pool and beach. The view of the ocean is good for how low the room is. Very nice amenities and a new flat screen tv was perfect for the March madness games. We will be reserving this room again!

Not clean, crumbs in cabinets, mold in bathroom. Couldn’t open closets properly due to rust

The beach was great, view was the only thing that saved this condo. Fixtures in showers full of mold, metal pieces in closets rusted. Tiolets has rings as if they haven’t been cleaned in a while. Would not choose to stay at this resort in the future.

We loved our view, the grounds, pool, and beach. However, some improvements need to be made in the unit. Upgrading the beds and sofa is a must. The water pressure in one bathroom was terrible. We would stay at the Tides again, but probably not in that same unit.

The property was overall average.

The property was clean and presentable upon walking in, but was not ready when we first arrived. Also, there were no details that told us you don't have to check in at a certain location you just go to your room and that's it. The gate keeper gives you your parking pass. However, we didnt know this and spent some time trying to check in. Just know you don't have to check in at an office like at a hotel if you do rent here. Complaints or things undesirable about the room was there were a million remotes to 3 tvs and one tv was non-functional but this was corrected in due time by maintenance. The bathroom that was at the front door entrance was gross with mold in the corners from dampness. This bathroom was under par for my expectations and needs some cleaning up/remodeling done. It is quite far from elevators so we used the fire exit stairs which was fine with us but if you have people who have trouble walking it is a bit of a trek to the room. Cookware...well it was worn and it was literally just the basics so if you plan to cook...basically i wished we would have brought our own. I ended up bringing dinner i had planned to cook home because i didnt want to cook with the provided items. Bed headboards were loose and broken. Overall, being it was 2 couples and a 3 year old we aren't too picky and this unit was doable for us. It was not as great as I had expected and isn't somewhere I'd want to stay every visit to the area. Basically, it works for what it's there for. Inside from the weather and heat from the beach. Cookware needs updated and to be more items. Bathroom at entrance needs cleaned up/remodeled. Bed headboard need to be taken off or new ones. And need to minimize the tv remotes and simplify getting the tvs on. We had a wonderful week in the area and plan to revisit sometime.
