Refreshed and relaxed

This was our first trip to Shelter Cove, and part of a trip up the Northern Lost Coast. The unit was clean and we loved having our own private hot tub. We used the tub a few times daily. They even left robes! With the views, and sounds of the ocean it felt like a spa treatment at a fine resort! We enjoyed sunrise and sunset from the tub. There are unobstructed ocean views, plus wildlife popping by, birds flying by. Our son is nuts for airplanes and loved that the airstrip was within view. We loved the quaint town, it offered just enough to do. Friday night at the Gyppo Brewery had such a great atmosphere for families with a live band, firepits, cornhole and terrific food and drinks. We had a terrific time! The proximity if the house to things was great. We had gorgeous beaches to ourselves, met friendly locals and had a wonderful time. This trip is being ranked as one of our best family vacations. Thank you for the great place to call home during our visit. It was awesome to be able to bring our 4 legged family member too!

Spectacular Location

This condo is perched on the edge of a cliff with panoramic views of coastlines near & far. Rocky shore below has lots of picturesque outcroppings where waves crash, creating constant, beautiful background noise. Deer graze all around the property. The tiny Black Sands Cafe (breakfast, lunch) is a very short walk and has an ideal outdoor deck. Condo is well appointed with a large, comfortable couch, lots of pillows, a decent bed, and thick bathrobes for exiting the delightful hot tub. If u need anything, Simy is very responsive. The last 16 miles of the drive to Shelter Cove are very challenging: a narrow, winding, rutted & potholed road with sharp, blind turns and few signs warning of curves ahead, including at least 6 hairpin turns. (Pay attention to the speed limit.) I would not attempt it for the first time at night, so plan to arrive early. But it's well worth the trip!
