Classic adobe, viga style home. 20 minutes from Santa Fe with open skies, walking and biking trails for miles. Central to Ski Santa Fe, Bandolier, Taos, Pecos and other great places to explore. Comfortable king beds each with en suite full bath/bathtub. Open concept living, dining, kitchen and laundry. Parking on site. 2 bikes available for your use (not used off road) gas fireplace (available in November), heat and AC in each room, a 55” tv in living room, 43” smart tv in each bedroom.

2 master bedrooms with smart TV in each room 43”. New king bed with down comforter and pillows, feather bed and linen sheets. Blinds on all windows. Kitchen, dining and living room open plan. 55” tv with sound bar in living room, all kitchen essentials; pots, pans, spices, coffee, tea. Woodstove and ductless heater/ac. Patios in front and back. Massive sky views with sunsets sunrises and stars for miles! Laundry Room available for your use. Bicycles available to ride on roads not off road due to stickers. Walking paths throughout for miles. Local grocery store 2 miles, pizza place, gas station, other services available nearby. Absolutely beautiful space with acres between houses, quiet and restful.

Guests have access to their bedroom and bathroom, laundry room, living room, dining room, kitchen and both patios. Parking on driveway.

I will be available as needed by text or phone as needed.

Beautiful open skies, stars for miles, walking, hiking and running trails all around home. Grocery store, restaurants and services in community.

Easy to get around by car. Can help arrange transport for additional fee if needed. Rental cars available in Santa Fe. Uber not reliable. Railrunner train from Albuquerque.

Pet free, allergy free home.
No outside guests or visitors allowed in the house.

The house is very nice, with lots of supplies and a quiet location. It was easy to reach the host, and we enjoyed our time in this beautiful area.

Everything was clean and comfortable. We especially loved the location. The Galisteo Basin Preserve was minutes down the road for hiking and the trips to Santa Fe took only 15 minutes. The sunsets we viewed as we walkedhe neighborhood werewere gorgeous! We stayed in ElDorado last year for a month,on the East side,so it was nice to try the West side of ElDorado. Having the garage to plug in our PHEV( plug in hybrid) car was really nice. Loved having the gas fireplace and streaming TV. And,having the washer/dryer was lovely too.The 3 wks we stayed was very comfortable!

Nice house with everything we needed for the week. Great location in Eldorado, so peaceful and beautiful. I prefer Eldorado to downtown Santa Fe, lots around there to do , as well as short drive to town. House was cozy with great views, comfortable beds and furnishings, ability to cook and relax. Really enjoyed being there--felt like a home.

This home is in a peaceful country setting, but still reasonable convenient to all that Santa area has to offer. Coffee in the morning and bird watching. We were able to open the windows during the night for wonderful fresh, cool air. We had everything we needed to prepare the meals we had there. A very enjoyable place to stay.

The whole family loved the home. There was not one thing we needed and did not have while we stayed. Definitely visit the near by parks!

Excellent property! Clean, cozy and suitably "away from it all" compared to the city of Sante Fe. Enjoyed all the amenities, including the nearby walking trail. Even received a rapid response from the host when we accidentally locked ourselves out, who calmly talked us off the ledge. 10 out of 10. Thanks, Meg!

Incredible stay!

House of the Yellow Bird is a beautiful home in a great community. My family and I were comfortable in the clean, well cultivated accommodations. Meg was easy to get in touch with and gave timely responses. 12/10 would stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the House of the Yellow Bird. The classic southwest style, and natural light was beautiful, and it was super clean and tidy. The secluded setting felt peaceful and private — just what we were hoping for, and a great place to retreat to after a busy day of sight seeing and activity around Santa Fe. A few highlights:    •    Having coffee, sugar, and stevia on hand was such a thoughtful touch.    •    The washer and dryer made it really easy to stay fresh without overpacking.    •    Sitting on the patio with a cup of coffee and taking in the scenery was a daily favorite.If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with comfort and charm, this place is a gem. Highly recommend!

Perfect for us!

Beautiful property and Santa Fe style house inside and out. Everything you need. For us it was close enough to Santa Fe proper as we had a friend in the property neighborhood and we were situated nicely. About 15-20 minutes to town, about 20 minutes from Pecos monument. Would stay again.

Nice accommodations. Leftover food from other visitors is kind of off putting. Door on dishwasher is broken. It falls quickly and is heavy. Caused a bruise on my leg Overall was enjoyable.

We wanted to stay in Eldorado a few days to make sure we want to move there. It was great. Quiet except for a few birds and coyotes, just what we wanted. Thanks for having a sweet get away for us to check it out.

cute house and very well equipped. Downside was the air conditioning in one of the master suites was broken and the mini split in the main living area smelled when turned on. After inspection by a contractor, it was determined there was mold on the coils. It was not used once we learned that. The house was very warm during the day and the people sleeping in the suite with the broken a/c were uncomfortable.

Great space to connect with friends and access Santa Fe

We stayed here to reconnect with college friends (class of 1985) in one of our favorite places in the country. This home met all of our needs. We could host dinners, travel into town, and journey out to the ski basin and Taos for day trips. It was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. We binged on sunsets, night skies, and access to all that Santa Fe offers. We would do it all over again!

Beautiful Home in a Quiet Neighborhood

Can't say enough good things about Meg's place, as well as Meg herself! She was a super thoughtful and exceptionally responsive host who went out of her way to make us feel at home and gave several suggestions for restaurants and local grocery stores and shops. Everything you need, she's got, even down to coffee and snacks. The home is beautifully decorated in a mid century style which fits beautifully with the adobe brick walls and red brick floors. The 2 king beds are very comfortable and the house stays nice and cool most of the day. The mini-splits work great in the late afternoon when things do get warmer - we were there in mid-June. We enjoyed lovely evenings in the back yard and waking up to birdsongs in the mornings. The cool mornings and evenings made for lovely walks along the many trails. We truly loved our stay and would definitely stay here again.

The kitchen was great, it had everything we needed. The outdoor space was very nice. We were a little disappointed the fire pit was out of propane. The 2 en suite were very spacious.
