Minutes from the Anchorage airport or Kincaid Park, this 2 bedroom unit sits in the heart of Sand Lake. Just a 5 minute walk to fishing and under 10 minutes to the Anc airport and Kincaid Park. Each bedroom has its own smart tv and queen size bed. There is no cable tv only streaming. The kitchenette is fully stocked with a toaster oven, microwave and hot plate for heating meals. Coffee is included with all the fixings. Local restaurants and a grocery store are minutes away on Jewel Lake Rd.

Laundry in apartment which was a plus. Had detergent another positive. Did a load of laundry prior to departure. Went home with clean clothes. Good spot to home base from for overnight stays elsewhere.

Unit is clean, the “kitchen” is a kitchenette, no stove but stocked with electric appliances. Properties on a septic system and the shower doesn’t drain well. You end up standing in about an inch of water when showering. Owners lives upstairs and at 4 in the morning someone is up banging around. The driveway and walk downstairs over the loose gravel was tricky for us 70 travelers. You can’t roll luggage, you have to carry it and the stairs are narrow in width and length for your foot. Again luggage was problematic. Also crazy board that you have to step over to get and firm the stairs. Maybe to keep the gravel from the steps but it is about 3 inches high that you have to step up, over down to reach the top step. Aside from these mentioned issues, nice place and better than staying in a hotel.

We loved this listing! I stayed here with my 6 year old and 1 year old son. It had everything we needed and more. The kids loved the toys Paul had out and the back yard to play. We’d stay here again :)

I enjoyed staying at your BnB It was clean, comfortable with very nice private back yard and quiet neighborhood.The kitchen amenities, pots and skillets were in good shape. (Like new)Beds were comfortable. Close to downtown Anchorage airport. ( 5 miles)Thank you for your quick response back with questions I had.

Paul’s place is fantastic! It has every single thing we needed for a very comfortable stay. We truly hate to leave! The kitchen is well appointed. We cooked meals several times. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were provided. Very convenient to have a washer and dryer available. There was even bears spray for when we went on a hike! Paul is great at communicating and made sure we were comfortable. We would love to stay here again on our next trip.

This is mine and my boyfriend's second year staying at Paul's b&b and it was another great experience we love having the option to leave good food if that is there in case he has more people coming or that he can use since we can't take it back home with us

This was our first experience with non-hotel or camper lodgings. It was great and we will definitely stay there again next time we go back.

Nice stay in Anchorage

To summarize my stay, I’d say perfect. I wanted for nothing while staying here. I actually appreciated the simplicity of this place. I usually seek out a bigger place with full kitchen amenities. I chose this place because I wanted to enjoy less cooking and more of Alaska. The owner was readily available and willing the help when needed. The kitchen was fully stocked for anything I needed (heating plate, electric skillet, toaster oven, microwave, full coffee pot and keurig). Full size refrigerator and a washer and dryer were thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely be returning to this place.

Everything you need

The location was near the airport in a quiet neighborhood. It had everything we needed, was clean and quiet. The beds and furniture were all very comfortable and there were numerous booklets on the area that were very helpful. There was a smell that we couldn't figure out, but it's a basement apartment, so we attributed it to that. Be prepared to carry your luggage up and down the flight of stairs outside.

We had everything we needed. Just didn't realize it was a downstairs apartment with outside stairs & walkway. Could use handrails on the walkway but otherwise neat & clean.

Pleasantly surprised

We were very happy with the accommodations. Communication was great and the property was as described. The house was easy to get to and in great condition. We really enjoyed it! Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
