A touch of Paradise on Strawberry Island. Please enjoy a unique west coast experience calmly resting on our float home just a quick boat ride across from downtown Tofino. Rustic, fully furnished accommodations with all the comforts of home but the feeling of the wilderness all around you. Float home studio with queen, bunk and hide a bed & full bath. Complimentary boat taxi provided by hosts for our guests. BBQ, Stove, Fridge and fully stocked with everything you need. Hosts are also long time local fish guides, crabbing, prawning, hot springs & wildlife tours for guests at a nominal cost. Bring your kayaks right out our front doors. We recommend this stay to anyone visiting Tofino. It’s such a cozy experience. We’ve stayed twice and brought our dogs, who LOVE the boat ride to the dock. We’ll be back again for sure!

A quiet, peaceful get-away with beautiful weather in October. Exactly what we were hoping for. Pearl was attentive and helpful. Float house was rustic and cozy - we felt we really lucked out with this experience and will definitely be back.

Pearl and her amazing cabin on the water village are two of the best things in Tofino.It's a true authentic Tofino experience. Rustic but clean.Pearl was super helpful and was quick to respond to our text messages. A local gem! Could have stayed for a month.

Sweet, cozy stay

Pearl and Joel were lovely hosts and helped to provide an enjoyable stay. They were very accommodating and helpful. The only concerns we had were the different contacts and some of the processes weren’t fully communicated. Overall, it was a memorable stay and we would love to visit again!

Unique Rustic Experience

It is a little different to have a shuttle boat to ferry you back and forth but Pearl was always quick to respond. It is a rustic spot but very comfortable and cozy. We especially loved the port to watch the sea life. Thank you.

Amazing!

Honestly such a gem! We was in awe of every second of our stay! Pearl and tuna were both lovely! I loved the floor cut out. I spent my evenings staring at jellyfish and I’m still smiling about it! Amazing sunsets too!!

The location of this stay was incredible, beds were comfy and host was friendly. Communication was good once we arrived but questions beforehand got a bit muddled. There is no free parking in tofino.The oven did not work. If you want to have more than one return trip to the island per day you have to pay extra. We used BBQ, looked at the stars and you could see the bioluminescent at night which was amazing We loved our stay in this basic but fantastically located accomadation.

Road Trip 2025

Thanks so much to the wonderful folks on Strawberry Island! The float house is a cute little space with not tons of amenities but very comfortable. I had the best sleeps there! It's so quiet and the gentle rocking of the ocean is ideal for a restful night.Pearl is a great hostess, and very flexible with the boat roads to and from the island. We were made to feel very much at home. Reilly is so cheerful and our fishing trip with Joel and Luc was a huge success! I definitely recommend Strawberry Island to anyone who is looking for a unique stay when at Tofino. I will be staying there again if (when!) I return.

Awesome experience

This was an awesome experience for coming to tofino for the first time. Pearl was very friendly and made sure our stay was enjoyable. We were able to get back and forth to the island safely with an enjoyable boat ride. The float home is super nice and has a fish hole you can check out the sealife. We are very pleased with our stay and hope to come out again.

Little piece of paradise

What a wonderful experience! We came over in the middle of a storm, in the dark, sopping wet after driving 7 hours so we were very happy to cuddle up under a blanket when we arrived! We were upgraded to a larger float home and got to watch every type of weather happen right outside our front door! So happy to have been able to bring our dogs.

Wonderful Weekend in Tofino

The property was absolutely fantastic, with a welcoming rustic and cozy atmosphere. The floathouse had most of the basics for our stay, and was a comfortable fit for our group, with beautiful views of the Tofino harbour. Our host, Pearl, was generous and amenable as she taxied us to and from Strawberry Isle, gave us knowledgable advice on our plans for the weekend, and was incredibly responsive to our needs. After getting rained out while hiking, she very kindly let us use the property's washer and dryer. Thank you so much Pearl for the amazing stay, we look forward to the next time!

Went for 3 nights with the kids and a friend of mine. We had an awesome time. The place itself was cozy and had lots of character. There was a little fishing hole in the floor inside that we caught two fish in! Pearl was an awesome host, showing us how to get fishing bait and ensuring our stay was an enjoyable one. There’s no tv but there are some really fun board games provided with the stay and we made some great memories playing them all together. The view was also great, the sunset is so beautiful by the ocean. On the first morning I was able to see a seal visiting on the deck by us! So cool. Overall our stay was very nice, and pearl was a great host. If you want to adjust or add anything feel free

Fun location, friendly people

We had a two night stay. No complaints. We were a little worried that needing a ride back and forth would be annoying but the hosts were very responsive when we needed a ride. The views are as good as you can get. The window in the floor to view ocean life is a great touch.
