Very attentive and generous!

This was the perfect place for our largish family. Glen was very responsive and helpful. We felt safe and well cared for. It is clear that this is a family that truly cares about their guests and their happiness. Having the van was super helpful! The location was perfect for us. Will definitely seek out this property again!

Comfortable and homie

Great place, felt like home. All our family enjoyed staying here. The view is amazing. Loved goings out in the evenings to enjoy the beautiful view. The home neat and tidy. Everything we needed for our stay was available.

Wonderful Accommodations & Host

The accommodations were everything we hoped for - comfortable, spacious, well-equipped, central location for everything and spectacular view of Honolulu. And the host was always responsive to our requests. Thank you Glen and Chandler for a wonderful family vacation.

Great view

This place has an amazing view of diamond head and the city. It is very close to great food and Waikiki. The rental van was a plus! The new renovation left the house with stuff everywhere outside. Would have wished to know more ahead of time, but it didn’t matter overall as it was in the back yard away from the picturesque view. My friends and I had a great time and would recommend staying here.

Overall great stay

The house is a bit difficult to get (steep drive) to but the views are well worth it! Our family of 10 really enjoyed our stay and all the beach supplies that the house provided. Having a van made getting around the island very easy and our hosts were so quick to respond to questions and need. I highly recommend this home and will be back with our family again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Glen's place. What really stuck out to us was Glen's hospitality -- he was kind, understanding, accommodating, thoughtful, and responsive. It's hard to imagine a better host. Location is great and really convenient for heading into Waikiki or other parts of the island, given the house's proximity to major roads. As far as the house is concerned, the outdoor area really stood out with an incredible hot tub, deck, and grill. We didn't end up using the grill but we spent quite a bit of time outdoors, especially in the evening. We'd definitely be open/excited to stay at Glen's place again in the future!

Spectacular City View

It was a very comfortable living space for our group of 8. The kitchen had everything we needed. The van included in the rental was well worth it. We would highly recommend!

Needs thorough clean, updating and fix stuff. Great view, great location, great car.

View, location, car = 5 stars. Manager Glen responded & apologized for uncleanness and said on Feb 3, 2020, he would give us a credit for the cleaning fee. When he did not give it by Feb 16, I asked. He then texted me Feb 16 to leave a 5 star review in order to get that credit!

Perfect! Thank you for the convince through the whole process of renting your beautiful clean home!! The nighttime view of the city...WOW!! Everything was more then expected!! Family vacation

The house was in a great location. Super close to freeway access for getting around the island. Seemed like a safe neighborhood and quiet too. Great view. Accommodated our family very comfortably. Only negative was that we could have had better supplies on paper goods for kitchen and bathroom. Refrigerator for some reason was extremely cold and our produce froze solid. Otherwise air conditioning and fans kept the house very comfortable.

A Place for Family with a View

This property is in a quiet area, away from the bustle of Waikiki, but the inclusion of the rental car made getting around easy. The views were to die for, and evenings in the hot tub, looking at Honolulu and Diamond Head were amazing and enjoyed by all our family. Breakfast on the Lanai were a relaxing way to start the day, and we were treated to a couple of perfect rainbows. The property easily accommodated our family group of 7, including 2 newly weds. The hosts had thought of everything a family may need, from an excellently equipped kitchen, to a great barbecue, copious beach towels and beach equipment. The hosts were helpful when booking and check in and out was easy. We requested an extension to accommodate our afternoon flights and this was no problem for them. The car rental was very easy and 7 adults fitted in easily. Given the opportunity we will go back to this place, or one of Glen’s other rentals. Thank you so much.

One Week Stay

The house was very nice. The AC didn't work as well as it should have, but Glen says it is being fixed this week. Also, the photos in the listing are outdated. And the road up to the house is very steep and it is challenging to maneuver the van around the circle drive. We managed to make it each day without incident. We learned to go up past the house, turn around and approach the driveway from above. That worked much better. Also, all of us were senior citizens and had difficulty going up the 20 or so steps in the front. We learned to walk up the steep drive to the back door and then only had four steps to ascend. That was much better. We were surprised to see another VRBO rental by the Robinson's so close to us (the rear house). The renters took a smoking break in the patio between houses almost every night and the smoke wafted into the back bedroom. Also, they were a little loud on the patio and those in the back bedroom could hear the conversation clearly. The beds were very comfortable. We slept 7 without problems. The views were very good to the southwest and the northwest. We had rain and clouds most days, but we were able to see the sunset once. We were there for the record-setting rainfall that fell on Honolulu. No problems at the house, though. The fireworks on Friday night were so far away and down low that they were not impressive. Glen was quick to address the problems we had (plugged toilet). All in all, we had a great time. We really enjoyed the large, well-stocked kitchen and the oversized diningroom table. WIth all the rain, we only used the hot tub once, but it was nice.

What a view!

The home is very comfortable with a fantastic view of the city, but could definitely use some updates (like new carpet). Glen was delightful to deal with and the whole rental process was simple. It was a perfect place for our family to enjoy time together! We would rent it again, thanks Glen.

The house was very clean . Ample room for 8 adults . The gift basket was a very welcoming touch . Glen was a great owner . Very helpful with suggestions of what to do what to see . Great vacation at Glen and Lara’s home! The property was a wonderful getaway for our family of 8!

The home has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and air conditioning. The washer/dryer was great. Storage has tons of beach gear and supplies. Kids loved using the hot tub in the evening! Great location and launching spot for all things Oahu!!!

Great Experience - Very Happy with our stay!

Great Location, excellent vehicle, Enough room for all 7 of us (Including Teens). Fabulous communication and extremely accommodating host Glenn. Thank You! Everything was provided for us and anything we could think of was available for us to use. The view was outstanding, the hot tub a treat to enjoy the evenings, cool air conditioning to escape the heat. Information of the area was readily available, enough hot water for all the showers. Dishes plenty and condiments that we didn't need to purchase available for our use. Wifi was good and enough furniture for everyone to get comfy. First time using VRBO and so glad it was an awesome experience. Highly recommend. Clean and well taken care of. We were treated with genuine Aloha spirit and loved the gift basket that awaited our arrival. Mahalo!!!!

Amazing Home with everything you need!

We were so blessed by staying at Glen and Lara's home. The home was perfect for our two families. The bedrooms are nicely spaced apart so you have privacy, there are televisions in each room and enough bathrooms for the 7 of us. The home had a lovely view of the ocean, city and mountains which we enjoyed from the deck while sitting sipping a glass of wine, grilling on the nice grill and while sitting in the wonderful hot tub. The home has everything you need - seriously - for your adventures in Hawaii. Beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, beach towels, seriously - everything! The mini van that came with our rental was like new and held the 7 of us plus all our gear for daily outings. The kitchen is well stocked with enough serving dishes for a large group and the dining table had plenty of room for all of us, not to mention more great views of the city. We appreciated the ice maker and the filtered water. Lara and Glen welcomed us with a lovely basket of local treats and gifts and were easily reachable by phone when we had questions. The home is only minutes away from grocery and drug stores and town and the beach. I would highly recommend this beautiful home for your travels to Hawaii. One comment, if you have a person who has difficulty with stairs, this might not be the place for you. There was a spiral staircase to climb to get into the house that may prove difficult for folks with mobility issues. It wasn't a problem for us, but something to keep in mind. Thank you Lara and Glen, for sharing your beautiful home with us. We made memories there to last a lifetime.
