We traveled to the Woodstock area for a show @ Levon Helm's barn and stayed @ the Tiny House retreat as a birthday gift for my husband. It was exactly as pictured, but the photos couldn't do justice to or capture the coziness of the space! It had absolutely everything we needed for our short stay, and had we been able to stay longer, we would have loved to! Waking up to snow and some special visitors (lots of deer right outside the window!) was a special treat!
The tiny house was even more cozy & welcoming with thoughtful holiday decorations!
In town for a show @ Levon Helm's studio, only a short (and beautiful) drive away!

Hosts were very welcoming and acknowledged our wedding anniversary. We appreciated the hospitality extended to us and our dog. Hosts were very easy to get in touch with in case we had any questions, quick response time. They even provided suggestions for places to visit and eat during our stay. Beautiful location, any window you look out of is a peaceful view. Tiny home has every comfort one would need. Plenty toasty on cold nights. Thank you for everything!

Owner was very prompt and communicative. Check in was easy and directions were clear. The house was very clean and ready for our arrival. The listing does indicate that the loft is low ceiling. We are in our mid 60’s and would have a very awkward and difficult entry to that space. The location is very convenient to both Woodstock and Kingston and is also very quiet and private.

Very cozy place and relaxing spot in the woods. Had no issues. Owners were very responsive. The loft ceiling is a bit low but you can make do. The complimentary snacks were a nice touch.

It may be called a Tiny House but it is absolutely NOT cramped. It is clean, quiet, comfortable and so easy to use. Everything we needed was easily at hand. This is our second visit and with any luck we’ll be back again.

Our host was fantastic at staying in touch with us. As an example, we first had some challenges locking the tiny house door, and Elizabeth wrote us right back with help. The house is adorable and on a very quiet, woodsy lot. It is a good value for the money with a nice bathroom. The heat and AC work well. The expectations for check out are also very relaxed, which is refreshing! The house is advertised as having a loft bedroom (the picture makes it appear non-loft-like, but the text does indeed say it is a loft), a master bedroom and can sleep a 3rd party on the pull-out couch. The stairs to the loft bedroom, however, are surprisingly steep. There is a sign that alerts guests that if they have mobility issues, they should not use the stairs, which is good. I must have missed where in the listing this is noted.

This was a cute tiny home nestled in a wooded area just outside of town. We were in town for a wedding at Emerson Resort and this was a perfect little place to stay. Everything was provided but we did bring our own stuff.

Beautiful tiny house, set up so nicely! We really enjoyed our stay, the loft was perfect for our kids. The property was so nice too!To get to the master bedroom, you do need to walk through the bathroom.

We stayed one night, and it was great! We met one of the owners too. He was very nice and helpful. The property was neat and clean. It has one bedroom, one loft bedroom area, and one pull out couch. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect for our needs!

Nicely done tiny home. Owners are very timely in their communication. Clean. Recommend going downtown Kingston for a walk on Rail trail, seeing the lighthouse, and eating outside at one of the many restaurants. We ate at Savona Trattoria, which was delicious. Boat tour of Hudson River looked wonderful but we didn’t have the time to do it. Would stay again!

While the interior was spacious enough and clean, we were very disappointed in the state of the outside—and the outside aspect was why we had selected this rental in the first place. The listing makes the outdoor spaces look charming and appealing, but they were dirty, weedy, and dumpy. There was nothing about the front or back that made us want to relax outside. The firepit was covered in a tarp full of water and bugs, and every chair and table/surface was rickety and dirty. The “view” is not of woods really, and there is no creek nearby. The view is of the owners’ main house, orange traffic cones, and an overgrown yard full of broken trees and weeds. It was very disappointing. Finally, during hot weather I would suggest that the air conditioning is turned on prior to the guests’ arrival. It was sweltering when we got there, and the one split system is not sufficient to cool the whole space. We closed the doors to the bathroom and back bedroom to conserve energy, and then left for several hours to let the AC work. Since we couldn’t use the back bedroom, we slept on the pullout couch one night (very uncomfortable for two grown adults), and then in the loft once the upstairs had cooled off (that bed and space is very comfy & cute if you can handle the height issues). The house has a lot of potential, and Elizabeth was very nice when I called about having trouble with the door code, but to make it a real “retreat,” I would add a 2nd AC split and hire a landscaper.
