Close proximity to several distilleries and local wineries here in the bluegrass state! You will find a peaceful atmosphere along with some horse farms on your drive to the distilleries. This home is within a mile of Castle & Key distillery and Woodford Reserve!

Great location! For what we used, kitchen was adequately stocked. Coffee station was an added bonus. Pool table was nice, however additional living room seating and a dining table would be more practical I think. There were plenty of towels, however, they seemed to be “thrown” into the cabinets, with some even in a kitchen cabinet? Linens left in dryer as well. We would definitely stay here again. Overall we were pleased.

This was our second time staying here, and it was just as wonderful as the first! The location is perfect if you’re planning to visit nearby distilleries or explore Frankfort. The home is cozy, beautifully decorated, and offers a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay!

It was a great location for all we wanted to explore. There were 4 adults and we had plenty of room. Kitchen was big and having 2 bathrooms was great. Would stay here again.

Home updated, plenty of supplies, floors uneven, with soft spots, leading to tripping hazards at times when walking. Unfortunately, a lot of cobwebs, with bugs in them under cabinets in kitchen and throughout the home, but they were easy to clean up. Area was quiet at night. Home great for our dogs and it was great that it was offered as pet friendly. Access to area attractions from homes location was great. Over all a great experience and I would recommend and would book again myself.

Friends road trip

Bourbon sanctuary was the last three days of our 2 week road trip. House was nice and roomy. Nice big kitchen with big countertops. Location was great for distillery tours. Evening deer and firefly’s were fun to watch.

Convenient Getaway

The Bourbon Sanctuary was perfect for our getaway weekend with friends. It was very comfortable for 2 couples. Only a short distance from the highway so it was easy to head out to the distilleries on the bourbon trail. We would definitely stay here again.

Bourbon Weekend

We spent an extended weekend at The Bourbon Sanctuary - it was perfect! Couldn't has for a better location to distilleries, great food and sites to see! We will return - thanks for the hospitality!

Perfection

This was the perfect location and everything about this place was amazing. We come down yearly for my husband’s birthday and found this location because where we typically stay was booked. It was a blessing in disguise because this quickly became out favorite. Castle and Key and Glenn’s Creek hold a special place in our hearts so to be close to them was nice. Highly recommend this place. We hope to be back next year.

Perfect Perfect Perfect

We absolutely loved this cottage!!!! It was in the perfect location off the beaten path. We were minutes to a short drive from everything. The pool table was the icing on the cake at the end of the day. Don’t miss this gem, once everyone finds out about it, this place will always be booked up.

Perfect Getaway!

Absolutely will be back! Beautiful property, quiet location, with access to everything we were looking to do! Turner was quick to respond to any questions we had, and make some nice suggestions for us to try out. The Stave was a short walking distance, with a huge bourbon selection and great meal (don't skimp on dessert that was pretty good too!), and the Prodigy Vineyards had a nice choice of wines with a very laidback friendly feel. The home was filled with just about everything we needed (and then some), and the extra propane tank fill for our evening fires was appreciated. Very spacious for 4 adults traveling together. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom supplies, and just the right amount of necessity items! Highly recommend this host and property. We will be back and will look to say at this property again! Thank you!

Bourbon Trail Vacation

Great place with places nearby

The Bourbon Sanctuary is a nice place to stay. Convenient to many distillaries which makes it great to come back to after a day of touring. The pool table is a nice touch as it gives you something to do for a bit. Kitchen and bedrooms were clean. If you have a small group like I did (4 people) it is a great place to stay if you want to see the older distillaries in the country. Would stay again if ever going back down.

Quiet retreat during a whirlwind weekend

I love bourbon country and everything that goes with it. We attended the Kentucky Derby this year and wanted somewhere we could come back to that was out of the chaos of Louisville. This was the perfect place. It’s very quiet and tucked nicely into a corner where there are no interruptions. It was of the best night sleeps we’ve had!! You are walking distance to restaurants and distilleries and a short drive into anything you could possibly want between Lexington and Louisville. It was a great stay and we will definitely be back again!

Excellent Getaway in Bourbon Country

My parents and I went to Bourbon Country as I'll be moving further away and it was her birthday. The house was great and right in the heart of everything. It was ideal for trips to Lexington, Bardstown, Frankfort, etc. The pool table was a bonus as it gave some entertainment during heavy storms. The rooms were nice and we enjoyed our stay. If I come back this way, I'd consider staying here again as I don't have anything bad to say about it.
