Discover Foreverwater, our cottage by the creek, nestled on 17 wooded acres along side Barren Fork Creek minutes from Leipers Fork Village with direct access to the historic dirt path back roads of eastern Hickman County, Lyles TN. This writer's retreat was once home to guitar maker and author, R. O. Barton (The Tucker Novels).

Leverage this fully furnished home as your seasonal escape to the country, your home between homes, or as your rural office complete with high speed broadband internet. Two large bedrooms, each with their own large cedar closets and full baths, flow into an open plan common area with a large stone fireplace, spacious living room, and a modern eat-in country kitchen. Natural woods and stone abound within this berm house inspired by the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. This private setting offers easy access to I-840; is central to Franklin, Fairview, Dickson; and sits just 45 minutes west of Nashville.

So unwind, write your next blog or book, explore the back roads of rural Tennessee, and sleep easy next to the calming sound of a babbling brook. Foreverwater awaits.

First of all, BEAUTIFUL PLACE! 100% private and miles away from anything. The inside of the home so cozy and comfortable, KITCHEN was well stocked. Beds were comfy and fitted with beautiful bedding, and lots of pillows. Enjoyed our stay!

Absolutely the best rental we’ve ever had (and we’ve stayed in places all across the country)! The sound of the creek, the peace and quiet, and the perfect accommodation gave us just the reset we needed. We enjoyed coffee outside both mornings, watched wildlife, photographed more than a dozen types of mushrooms, walked the beautiful creek and enjoyed long soaks in the jetted tub! We lacked for nothing. We would recommend this place to anyone!

I met a college friend to catch up and have a "reading" holiday. This place could not have been more perfect. The weather was great and it was so very quiet and peaceful. The home was lovely, much prettier than the pictures communicate. Particularly impressive was the view. The windows are almost floor to ceiling and looking out the windows, one sees layers and layers of trees with the light dancing through the branches. Makes for a very serene vibe. The was one of the best hosts I have communicated with. He responded promptly to questions. He gave excellent pre arrival instructions. We took two of his restaurant recommendations, and both were most excellent. Mid stay, my friend broke off a loose shower knob; I notified the host and his response was gracious and showed more concern for my friend than the damage. I really appreciated his kindness.Highly recommend and will likely return.

Beautiful, Rustic, and Secluded

The cottage was just as described online and shown in pictures. All appliances were modern like new. The furnishings and beds were comfortable and our stay was just what we were looking for. The property is at the end of a long driveway and is nestled deep in the woods with a creek running through it. Wear shoes with good traction to walk down to the creek as the descent is steep. You have a true sense of privacy.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I loved my stay here. The house was comfortable and the setting was very private and isolated. Keep in mind that this place is out of the way so you will end up driving at least 20 to 30 minutes to get to Franklin and Lieper’s Fork and 50 to 60 minutes to Nashville. But if you want quiet and peacefulness, this is certainly the place. I loved to sit outside and listen to the creek and watch the birds.

We loved the place. It’s quiet and remote, but close enough to Franklin, Lieper’s Fork, and Nashville. The property is beautiful, and we spent lots of time wading in the creek at the bottom of the hill. Not a soul in sight. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped with a large kitchen and everything you need for cooking. It isn’t a huge house, but it was plenty big for the four of us and you could easily fit in a couple of more if you needed to. We also really appreciated the small touches, like the variety of snacks and bottles of water and ice tea left for us. If you’re looking for a secluded place with magnificent views from both bedrooms, a very comfortable living room and a big kitchen that’s convenient to Franklin and Lieper’s Fork, we can’t think of a better choice!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean, and it offers a ton of amenities. The best part is the seclusion, and the creek running behind the house is a close second! We are already planning a trip back!

Quick Weekend Getaway

What a treasure! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Even though we were only there one night, the appointments and amenities made it feel like home, but a step up. More than enough of anything we could need, and a quality that was truly inviting. The descent to the creek was steeper than we expected, but was still enjoyed by all. We are already looking forward to returning in the future for a longer stay!

Quiet Retreat

We had a great time at the cottage by the creek! It was the perfect location to enjoy the area, but find space for quiet and rest when we were ready. Clean, beautifully decorated, and homey. Highly recommend!

Short and sweet stay

Very clean and cozy. Our family only got to stay one night but we enjoyed our short sweet stay. It overlooks a creek and is so peaceful. It was clean and tidy and the sweet treats were so nice.
