It was a good stay. Private. In a nice neighborhood that had Christmas decorations outside nearby homes. Rooms were a great size as well as beds. It would have been helpful to have hooks on the bathroom walls or behind the bathroom doors to hang wet towels after showers. The home was clean. Maybe a better frying pan for eggs would have been nice - ours kept sticking even with oil/butter on the pan. Otherwise great price and location - close to a lot of places we wanted to visit. Comfortable hang out.

It was okay

Not the best but could’ve been worse. Fan in bedroom, kitchen light or living room light didn’t work right. There was several dead cockroaches including one smashed on the wall. Washer wasn’t working but my husband fixed it. Trash left in the dresser of the master room. Bathroom mat and floor was dirty

Careless host

I booked this stay as I was in town for a funeral for the weekend, a big selling point for me booking this property was the fact it had a hot tub and grill listed as amenities. When I arrived I found there was no hot tub and the grill was a 30 charcoal grill that I could have bought at Walmart, put in my backpack, and brought to any property I could have booked. This was disappointing but I was able to make do initially. However on the second night of my stay, my 9 year old niece went to lay down on the couch and had a curtain rods and curtains fall directly on her head. When I went to try to hang it back up it was obviously how poorly it was installed and just completely careless. It makes me wonder if this happened to any other guests as well. Once this happened it was the final straw for me and we ended up leaving a night early due to the carelessness. I reached out to the host regarding these issues, and it took hours to even get a response from her. Once she finally responded she didn’t even acknowledge or apologize for the curtain rod hazard of the curtain rod, nore did she care to ask if my 9 year old niece was okay. All she told me was that she didn’t realize she had a hot tub listed as the amenities, and again completely ignored the blatant misleading notion of there being a grill there. She then proceeded to tell me she will not issue a refund because I didn’t address these issues as soon as I checked in on the first night. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Great location

We were in town for a graduation ceremony at the joint base. This location was terrific. Quiet neighborhood and the house had everything we needed. Thank you!

Just Awful

The place was not clean at all. Found a dead cockroach as soon as i got there. When i went to go to bed the first night, there was a live cockroach in the bed so i ended up not sleeping and asking vrbo for help. They did not give me any response for 10 hours, finally got someone on the phone that told me they would but me into a place. Next person i talked to said no, they were not following protocol and had to let the owner try to rectify the situation. So they gave the owner a chance to do something and i never heard back from anyone about if they did or not. The host never contacted me. I stayed in a hotel the second night because i was given absolutely no info from anyone. The next day, someone else from vrbo contacted me asking for all the info i already gave. Then hours later told me there was no problem with the property because it had to have more than three bugs to be considered an infestation and for them to do something. So now im out about $600 and i did not even spend a single night at this place. How is this not a problem for the host or vrbo???? THERE WAS BUGS IN THE BED!!!?!?!? And no confirmation or solid help for about 2 days. I will never use vrbo again, and you should never rent from this host EVER.

Unsatisfying

The entry locking mechanism on the door needed to be cleaned. The house needed to be dusted. The mattresses were hard as rocks. Pillow tops could help that situation. The back door had poison ivy growing on it. The furniture on the back porch was in poor shape and needed to be cleaned. It looked like the neighbor kids had used it as a hang out. The gate had been pushed open to allow them access. Attention to detail is needed.

Great cozy house and location

The house was in close proximity to everything in Goose Creek. It was a great size home with good amenities. The contact for the house was great to work with and very responsive.
