Perfect!

When we first drove up the bumpy dusty road, I wondered what have we got ourselves into... but the moment we stepped in we knew this was a perfect retreat. Playa Garza is a short drive away and the local fish shop and little store had eve needed. Peter and Erin are wonderful hosts. The little pool is perfect for cooling off. It was an amazing place to be and I miss the view already.

Stunning Costa Rican Vila

Peter & Erin were amazing hosts, always nearby when we needed them, but never intrusive. They even invited us up to there house (just up the hill) for sundowners on our last evening. We feel like we made new friends. Erin even spared some time to give us a what to do in the area session.The Villa is quite simply stunning , with views across the native bush to the sea. We could watch the wildlife in front of us and just soak up this beautiful piece of paradise. The Villa was immaculate and everything our family of four could wish for. We can not recommend Peter & Erin and their beautiful Villa enough. We will be back. Mark & Diana

Highly recommend!

Great hosts, great place, and great location. We already recommended this place to close friends. Beautiful view from the patio and pool. Safe and secure. Well equipped and the perfect getaway for two people. Erin and Peter went above and beyond to make us feel at home and enjoy the area. If you stay during the rainy season (mid-May to mid-Nov) the roads along the coast are a challenge. We were there the last week of November 2024 and rented a 4WD vehicle to visit the more remote beaches and coastal towns (those dirt roads are in very rough shape). A river fording (timed at low tide) was required get to Ostional, because the bridge was out. We took the mostly paved inland route to the Liberia airport in about 2.5 hours. Waze is best for navigation. Hope you enjoy Erin and Peter’s place as much as we did!

Makes you want to go back

Casa Pepito You will wake up to the sound of the jungle and this location has one of the best view in Nosara. It is also very close to “downtown” Nosara but you have the luxury of being on a private property. Very quiet, very clean, well maintained house, it has everything you need. We actually dedicated days where we stayed at the house all day because it was so cozy and perfect. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. The hosts made it very easy to get there, being in contact with us prior to our trip. They also gave us a lot of information about what to visit (if is was worth our time) and they really made us feel at home in a paradise ! We wish we could have stayed longer. We definitely want to come back. Erin and Peter, thank you for the great experience!

Pura Vida Paradise

Sometimes the best things about a vacation rental surprise you. We chose La Casita because we fell in love with its style — online and in person — yet, the reason why we miss it is because of Erin, our host. 3 years living in paradise !

Dear Erin and Peter! We are happy to have had the opportunity to live in such a gem of a home for the past 3 years. This luxury house has everything you need to be totally comfortable and cozy. It has a gorgeous view to the bay of Garza and is nestled in a very tranquil natural environment. The location was perfect for all of our needs like, shopping, fishing, beach, surfing, gym, restaurants and more. Beautiful, Welcoming, and Relaxing!!

Casa Pepito exceeded all of our expectations and they started out very high. It is a beautiful house in a great setting. We will never forget lounging in the soaking pool and watching the howler monkeys troop by. Erin and Peter were wonderful hosts. We rented the Sugar Shack 1 day, and wish it could have been more - it was so relaxing to be on the beach with hammocks/chairs/and other great amenities. We love Costa Rica and love Casa Pepito - hope we can return!!

Georges Casa in beautiful scenery.

We had wonderfull time in Casa Pepito.House is so well built with stunning views. Waking up in Casa Pepito is like you are in National Geographic documentary. Sound of birds, howling monkeys and sun rising, just breath taking. We will really miss it. We loved Nosara area, so much activities and exploring.Coming back to Casa is anather exciting thing to do. Also doing nothing and relaxing is great option. Peter and Erin is one of the best host we have met. Very helpful and knowledgeable. They are close by, but they dont interfere with your privacy. Wonderful home in a great community!

We spent two wonderful weeks at Casa Pepito, enjoying the home and community in our return to the Nosara area. Erin and Peter have built a lovely home that includes everything you'll need while elegantly reflecting the simplicity that is Costa Rica. About Casa Pepito. The privacy and views are great, meeting our high expectations. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and well-appointed. And the indoor/outdoor space provides a perfect mix of sun and shade, and the chance to cool down in the dunkin' jacuzzi. The home was spotless and seemed almost new...we were surprised that it has such a robust rental history. If you want to experience the local culture with most of the pleasures of home, Nosara/Garza is a good choice. The village has the essentials and the locals are friendly. There are plenty of restaurants and attractions very close by. The beaches are long and walkable, with a variety of people and wildlife to watch. And one of our personal favorites, the monkeys, came to visit us at the house a couple of times during our stay. We couldn't ask for more! Thanks Erin and Peter for being such gracious hosts! We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Memorable stay at Casa Pepito

Outstanding Casa and hosts. From the moment we arrived until the time we had to leave, Erin and Peter were without a doubt, the best hosts we have ever encountered. We are 5 adults that traveled to Costa Rica for a 3 week vacation, and the first time any of us had been to this beautiful country. We stayed at Casa Pepito for 1 week of our vacation (the 2nd week of our trip). The house is awesome, great kitchen, very clean, and tastefully decorated. The view from the terrace and the master bedroom is nothing short of amazing. Casa Pepito is truly a gem, and was our favorite place of our trip. Three of us enjoyed a fantastic massage by Erin (the owner & a very talented masseuse), in fact all agreed, the best we ever experienced. Playa Garza is a small village with a limited grocery store, a Soda close by, and good restaurants within just a few short miles from the house. The beach at Playa Garza is beautiful and a bonus that Peter and Erin also have a beach shack there, a short distance from Casa Pepito, (for very reasonable daily rental). Picture a beautiful beach, hammocks swung between the coconut trees, lounger padded chairs, and a table set with flowers, enjoying a ‘typical’ Costa Rican dinner from the Soda just down the beach, even delivered to us. The charming beach shack was a bonus with a bathroom, place to change, and a mini kitchen right on this quiet beach. We spent a full day in this paradise swimming, relaxing, and watching the locals surfing. A very memorable relaxing beach day, indeed!! We were there in November and the roads hadn’t yet been graded, so traveling was a bit of an adventure. We rented a large 4X4 SUV for our trip and we were happy to have made that decision, because some of the potholes were rather large! The road crews were out when we left, grading and repairing the road in preparation for the dry season. We greatly enjoyed our Zipline Tour with Miss Sky, and the Tomcar adventure with Howling Monkeys, sunset on the beach close to Olga’s and our dinner at La Lunas. Thank you Erin and Peter for all you did to make this a week in Paradise, one we will always treasure. Bill, Sandy, Elayna, Jan, & Gerry.

Fabulous time at Casa Pepito!

Our family and I stayed at Casa Pepito for a most memorable week. Our host Erin was welcoming, and gracious, paying great attention to every detail for comfort, beauty and hospitality. When I first made the booking, I was hesitant as to wether we needed a 4WD or not. She answered candidly without pressuring, resulting in us renting a 4WD, which indeed made our vacation far more enjoyable than not having one. She even arranged for a beach horseback ride for us, and we were picked up at the door by our guide with the horses! The house is very well appointed, with beautiful furnishings, and luxurious ambience. The photographs do not do justice to the beauty of the location and serenity of the place. We would wake in the morning to the sounds of the surf, the awakening calls of the howler monkeys, and a plethora of bird song. With an outstanding view of the ocean from the 2nd floor, it was wonderful to relax in the hammock and soak it all in. After spending time at the beach in the delightful Sugar Shack, we would come home to cook the fresh red snapper caught by a fisherman, bought at the "Soda" down by the beach, and have a refreshing soak in the whirlpool. We look forward to our return and will recommend Casa Pepito to anyone traveling to Pura Vida Costa Rica!

Private location, views and friendly hosts

After traveling for 20 hours from Washington state, we arrived at Casa Pepito. While the directions there werent what we were use to, we made it without with only one wrong turn. Erin and Peter live in a house just up the hill so they met us and showed us the house. It has a very open feel with a spectacular view of the ocean (or of thunderstorms if one rolls through). Erin and Peter are both expats (from Canada and Switerland) and are very freindly. They were able to give us a good overview of the area and some good recomendations. The house itself is cool and has all tile floors, it had a nice breeze and a nice kitchen. It comes with all the dishes and apliences to cook your oen food if you wish. We spent quite a few hours out on the porch watching the clouds and ocean. When the thunder and lighting rolled in in the evening we would sit out and wach as the jungle would light up with the flashes of lightling and feel the thunder pound the sky. The house was great and we would recomend it to our firends and stay there again. The only downside is that it is further away from the more tourist type things in Nosara and Samura. (about 15-30 min over a bumpy dirt road) You definetly need a car if you stay here. However, if being far away from the bustle of tourists and all that movement is what you are looking for, than this is the place for you. We came here for the first 5 days of our honeymoon and it was wonderful. Quite (except for natures sounds) and no crowds. A retreat. The only downside to the house was that the master bed was a bit on the firm side. Coming from a softer bed it was hard to adjust to the firmness however when its hot out, it is probably good not to be encased in a mattress. There are bugs in Costa Rica, you can escape them and Casa Pepito is no exception. Midway through our stay there, the ants decided to move in...it wasnt that bad, just leave them alone, go to the beach and by the time you come home they are gone. Overall the place was great. Thanks Peter and Erin for blessing us and being so generous and gracious to let us stay at your wonderful house. We will not soon forgot our time there. If you are ever up in our neck of the woods and need a place to stay, look us up. Pura Vida!

Perfect. Private, beautiful, simple luxury.

This house was the perfect get away for me and my wife's late honeymoon. It was a little more space than we needed, but the honeymoon special made it affordable. The view is beautiful, the cooling pool (not a hot tub) is perfect for the hot and humid weather, and the house is very private. It's about a ten minute walk down the hill to the very small town of Garza, where there is a nice beach and a small grocery store. If you're planning on renting a car (4x4 is a must), it's easy to explore the other beaches and towns in the area and return to your private paradise. For the budget minded/athletic, it's also possible to bike down to Guiones, about a 40 minute ride. Not exactly pleasant on the dusty unpaved roads, but it's doable. So we just rented a 4x4 for two days to do some exploring (highly recommended), and got by without one for the rest of our week stay. Erin and Peter were so kind and helpful, offering travel tips and assistance the whole time. Erin is also a masseuse with a table next door, and my wife had a massage from her on our the last day which she greatly enjoyed. Casa Pepito was everything we were hoping for and more, and a key part of an amazing honeymoon. Great memories. We hope to return at some point, maybe with friends next time. -Greg

Astonishing House and Hosts!

Our stay at Casa Pepito was nothing short of impeccable! The house was very clean as well as beautifully decorated and furnished. What to say about the view! The jungle and ocean view from the bedroom and balcony was simply breathtaking. We did not want to leave the house and we will definitely return to Casa Pepito in the short future. Erin and Peter were amazing hosts by providing us with all the information we needed and any extra attention really made our trip unforgettable. Casa Pepito is a dream vacation!

Gina and Charles here. This is a gorgeous house. The pictures don't even come close to how beautiful it is. A little weary from our trip, we walked into beautiful open vistas that immediately picked up our spirits. The view from the terrace is incredible and can be seen from every room in the house. The gentle breeze cooled us as the clear sun shone down. We were both looking for a wonderful vacation from our lives in NYC. Gina has been to Costa Rica particularly in Boca de Nosara (Playa Guiones) a few times for surfing. This was Charles' first time to Costa Rica. He was new to how wonderful Costa Rica is and particularly how special this part of the world is. We had not visited Garza previously, and so Casa Pepito was sort of a leap of faith for me. But Garza is a lovely small fishing village with it's own beach, local fish stores, and has many natural beauties as well. Erin and Peter were so knowledgeable and quick with their responses to all my questions. During our stay, they were also very knowledgeable about the local spots and helped us enjoy our vacation to the fullest. The fishing village of Garza is a jewel. Casa Pepito with it's open air layout, amazing bay view, and beautiful tasteful finishes, satisfied above and beyond any expectations Charles and I had. We enjoy cooking, and made use of the modern kitchen which is wonderfully stocked, and of the balcony/porch and cool water jacuzzi! Genius Idea. Erin said that it was like having the Animal Planet channel from the house view and she was not lying. The bird watching, the monkeys, the stars... I have travelled many places and use home away a lot but this particular property has completely blown me away. I can not wait for the next opportunity to get to Costa Rica specifically Casa Pepito. Not only to stay again in paradise but also to see Erin and Peter as they are such lovely people. Another note to add is that I was rather sick upon arrival. After a session with Erin and her essential oil infused Cranial Sacral technique, I was sleeping sound again after nearly 2 months of endless coughing. She's a wonderful healer, and I absolutely recommend her treatments. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this house at all. We are already planning our next visit there. Thank you so much, Peter and Erin for making two tired ballet dancers whole again.

WOW, beautiful spacious villa, filled with natural light. Your every need has been anticipated in the fully stocked kitchen. This is a luxury home with a panoramic view you could never tire of. The garden has monkeys and parrots, lemon and banana trees, and you overlook the canopy towards an ocean view of Playa Garza (a fishing village, just south of Playa Guiones and Playa Nosara), a few miutes down the lane. The villa owners live in the next property up the lane, and are gracious and helpful if you need any advice. Peter speaks about 5 languages so communication would be easy for most everyone. Relaxing on the spacious terrace which becomes part of the villa when you open the wall of glass doors, is a lovely way to enjoy any part of the day, in the hammock or the jacuzzi whilst listening to the bird song. The design of this wonderful home makes it so that 3 couples (or a large family) could have privacy, with master bedrooms on both end wings and a second suite with private entrance on the lower level. We loved our stay and would most definitely give it a 10 ! The Nicoya Peninsular is stunningly beautiful, but a 4x4 is definitely needed

We rang in 2013 at Casa Pepito

The house is beautiful, well maintained and the views are nothing less than spectacular. Erin and Peter are great hosts and want to ensure their guests have a fun, relaxing stay. The house is only a few minutes away from our favorite surf break, Playa Guiones, and all that area has to offer (excellent restaurants, kayaking, zip-lining, stand-up paddlboarding, fishing, etc). One restaurant we loved was a local Tico pizza spot called Costa del Mar. They had the BEST veggie pizza! The sunsets here are a must-see and wildlife is like no place else…howler monkeys, parrots, hummingbirds, horses, cows, armadillos, reptiles. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who is interested in visiting Costa Rica. We would also highly recommend the massages in the studio right next door! You will leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. This wasn’t our first time visiting Playa Garza and it certainly won’t be our last! Thank you, Erin & Peter! ~Tom and Meredith

Paradise in Nosara

My girlfriend and I stayed a week at this beautiful mansion. We only have good things to say. The house was very clean with all the accomodations needed. The fully equiped kitchen is perfect for people who want to cook at home. The terrasse with the jungle and ocean view is simply breathtaking. Every morning when we woke up we just couldn't believe the luck we had to stay in this house. It was one of the best trip of our lives thanks to this beautiful piece of paradise ! We'd recommend it to anyone. It's just simply the nicest place on earth!!! Thank you again Peter, Erin & Jamie we really hope to comeback soon. We hope you're doing great! Louis-Xavier Tamara

Casa Pepito....a slice of paradise

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Pepito and loved exploring the surrounding Playa Garza/Guillones area. The house is located at the top of a hill just outside of town and offers some breathtaking views of the ocean cove below. During our visit we found the house to be well stocked with kitchen supplies so we did a lot cooking while we were there. The house is beautifully designed and very well maintained plus any issue we ran into was addresses quickly and effectively. The only drawback we found was transportation to and from Playa Garza and Guillones was hard to come by if you are depending on public buses or taxis. I would recommend renting a vehicle during your visit to make your trip more fun and enjoyable.

I rented the house along with some friends for a period of 6 months...The house has all the amenities that one needs to live there for that time period..Its spacious, clean and modern..Its in a beautiful location next to Garza and easy accessibly to nearby towns.. The views are stunning and the surrounding area is breathtaking...You are right in the middle of nature which is impressive as you get to see lots of wildlife especially of the feathered world..

Loved the suite downstairs!

My sister and I spent a most wonderful 3 days at Erin and Peter's rental space downstairs from the main house in January/12. The suite had everything we needed in a clean and comfortable setting. We enjoyed eating breakfast outside taking in the breathtaking view of the forest below and the expansive ocean in the distance. The grounds are impeccable and we loved the bird life and monkeys nearby. It was easy exploring the immediate area which was so pristeen and hardly any tourists around. We'll be sure to return as soon as we can. It was an idyllic setting with a most positive and pleasant experience interacting with Erin and Peter. I would highly recommend this suite or their house to anyone! Dianna

Our gem in Paradise! A piece of Heaven on Earth! After exploring Costa Rica our hearts feel so much at home in Playa Garza. The dry and sunny climate of Guanacaste was priority and the side of the mountain a perfect perch for taking in the simple joy and beauty of nature and the magnificient Pacific Ocean. The vib of the fishing village, 3 minutes from the house, has a charm and laid back feeling that blends with the authentic and humble way of life in Playa Garza.

Casa Pepito was built with dedication and love of detail for quality and simple elegance by Peter. Our favorite area of the house is for sure the huge terrace as 'Living Outside' all year long in this delicious climate is why we love living here. A comfy hammock to chillax or a refreshing dip in the jacuzzi on a hot summer night. We are living our dream with gratitude everyday.
