Comfortable, clean and peaceful.

Really enjoyed the view and birdwatching with the telescope. Last night curled up in front of the fire pit with a glass of wine, watching the sun set was the best.

Memorable Stay

This house was well equipped and easy to stay at. We absolutely loved the location, view and accommodations. There is a nice walking trail down the road and river access at the other end of the road. We will definitely want to stay here again.

Fantastic stay

Absolutely fantastic home in a great location right on the water. The home is recently renovated and is essentially brand new. Very tranquil area with great trails and wildlife close by.

Luna’s house.

The house is just wonderful. Plenty of space to hang out. Very nice fire pit outside with a view of the mad river in the ocean. And a fully stocked kitchen. The only caveat I would say was it was very difficult dealing with VRBO. But once we settle that it was a wonderful day and I highly recommend it.

Absolutely wonderful!

We absolutely loved this place...beautifully decorated, spacious, well-appointed in terms of kitchen and bath items, and, of course, the fabulous wood-burning stove with lots of wood for guests. The scenery did not disappoint, beautiful morning, noon and night. We will absolutely stay here again.

Perfect!

We enjoyed the house and our stay in the Eureka/McKinleyville area. The views were amazing! It was so nice to wake up every morning, drinking coffee in bed and watching the ocean. It was a bit chilly during our visit but loved the wood stove. Definitely warmed up the living room. Only wish the rest of the house were warmer.

Thoughtful inclusions throughout

Do not stay in a hotel within a 2-hour drive in any direction or you will have missed out on a most comfortable and peaceful stay. Sage and Luna’s place is a delight with a very well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and view seating from nearly a dozen chairs scattered around the house and outdoor paddock and patio. They even prepared the woodstove for an easy start and provide plenty of dry firewood. Birds are all around, deer run on the sand spit across the river, and we heard seals calling in the morning. The only thing we didn’t like is that we could only stay one night, but we will return.

WOW!

This house is truly amazing. The minute you walk in, it is obvious that the host paid attention to details to ensure your stay was comfortable. There were binoculars in every room and a telescope to watch the ocean and river. We saw a lot of wildlife in the early morning. The house was spotless, beds were comfortable and just an awesome updated house. Walking trails were close by at each end of the street.

Lovely Place

We were late making reservations and initially disappointed that we could not find direct ocean front lodging; however, we were pleasantly surprised by the nice river and ocean view. It was only a short drive to my favorite beach, Moonstone, and others. The place was very clean and spacious for three people. In fact, it was much larger than I thought it would be even though I had viewed all the online pictures. Sage was very easy to work with, and we had everything we needed. The firepit was wonderful and we always enjoy a BBQ grill. Thank you, Sage.

My stay here was exactly what I was hoping for. The host was helpful and communicative when I had questions and the location was great. Perfect sunsets and sunsets.

Excellent place to stay! Beautiful home!

Wonderful and peaceful home located by the river with the ocean beyond. We loved staying her and had everything we needed. A nice quiet neighborhood it was so beautiful. I highly recommend this place. 5 stars
