Relax while surrounded by nature in a renovated three bedroom house on Golden Lake. You will be set up to enjoy the perfect UP getaway, whether you're relaxing next to the lake or you are nestled up close to the fireplace or braving the weather by the firepit. Remote but only a half mile off of US-2, this house is uniquely situated in the middle of the Ottawa Nat. Forest. Perfect for family getaways, hunting trips, fishing and snowmobiling

The Space
Swim, paddle, fish, cross country ski, snowmobile and so much more from the doorstep. A canoe and 2 kayaks are available for your use. Golfing, hunting, downhill skiing and other activities are a quick drive away. Take in the amazing sunsets from the deck. Marvel at the night ski around the firepit.
Fishermen will find a variety of fish including Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Rainbow Trout, Yellow Perch and Splake. It is also one of the clearest and cleanest lakes in the area. When the lake freezes, ice fishing and snowmobiling will keep outdoor enthusiasts entertained. Bring your fishing poles and enjoy summer fishing right from the dock or from available canoe and Kayaks. Fishing license can be purchased online at the Michigan DNR Website.

Sauna, canoe, and kayak are temporarily unavailable.
*Use at your own risk. We strongly encourage all guests to wear a lifejacket or some sort of flotation device, however we are not responsible for any accident or injury that could occur.
We encourage you to bring water shoes.
No Pets are allowed at our property. Some of our guests have allergies. If pets are on the property during your stay, a $250.00 fee will be assessed.

-Although towels are provided, they are for inside use only. If you plan to use the lake, please bring your own beach towels for your stay. There is also 1 towel per guest that is supplied, if you need additional towels please let us know ahead of time or bring your own

-Great cell service for Verizon & AT&T, Wi-Fi is available but can be spotty at times .
Green Bay is 2 1/2 hrs.away. Your rental includes the whole house, deck and access to the lake!

Very clean, comfortable and well supplied cabin. Great lakefront with dock, kayaks and a canoe. Backyard has tons of seating and firepit. Nice sauna, too.

Everything was amazing, the cabin was very clean and well stocked. We cooked alot during our stay and kitchen had Everything you could need. Gorgeous view of the lake and a very quiet serene setting. Very peaceful. Highly recommend.

Great house on the lake

Everything was as described. Good supply of firewood. Bedding comfort varied, with one queen bed very firm. Many steps down to the lake. We were there to fish local rivers. The place served our purposes well. We would come back.

Cozy getaway

We were looking for something fun for our kids 4-7. The ski brule was closeby and ice skating in neighborhooring towns. The fireplace was what won us over choosing a place to stay and it fulfilled our wish. Beds were comfortable and amenities had everything we needed. Very clean and look forward to a return trip!

golden lake

very enjoyable stay. my issue is vrbo and their system of communicating the door code and other info. on my phone it is impossible to retrive the emails from the owner via VRBO as you need a security code which they email and it becomes a vicous circle that cannot be solved. had to call vrbo customer service for which their phone number takes some work to find. the reps did a nice job of working with me to get the code. the owner did their job and the house provided a nice week to enjoy the lake and UP.

Lovely lakeside stay

We really enjoyed the home, it was so peaceful! The lake views were amazing, and the house had everything we need for a comfortable stay. I was pleasantly surprised how fast the wifi worked!

Golden Lake get away

House is very well supplied with everything you'd need for a multiple day stay. Was extremely happy to have a place right on the lake. Also the house is a good centralized location for going in any direction to go and explore what the western Upper Peninsula has to offer.

Very cozy home with all we needed. Close enough to Ski Brule, all we needed for a nice getaway with a crew of teenagers/young adults.
