Another fantastic stay

This home is perfect for our family. Very well stocked, clean, convenient location, hosts are excellent communicators. Short drive to a wonderful beach, pass for parking is included!

This is our SIXTH stay at Paula and Ron's home. It is our second home near Misquamicut beach. We always have a wonderful time: dinner at the Charlestown Rathskeller, walking on the beach, family meals, a hot tub soak, foosball tournament, bowling, roller skating, visiting friends, Yahtzee, Tock game, an 18th birthday, Ticket to Ride, tennis, running....and, of course, so much more! Thank you, Paula and Ron!

The house was very comfortable for our family. There were beach chairs available so we did not have to bring them. This was a huge plus. The fire pit was great for making s’mores and story telling. Bedding was so comfortable. We were able to use the large island to have a meal and play cards. All in all we had an excellent time. This was our second time renting the house.

We had a great 10-day stay at this house! The hosts were great, the house was perfect for our family, and the location was excellent! I would recommend this house for any family looking to do a trip to the Westerly area. Great beaches, restaurants, and plenty of things to do.

Great Family Vacation House

Wonderful family vacation spot!

We really enjoyed our stay and we were impressed by how family friendly the house was. It was the perfect amount of space for all of us to spread out and feel comfortable. Some of our favorite things included two living rooms, the outdoor shower, and the very large kitchen to gather in. The house was stocked with truly everything from extra towels to serving dishes and spices!! We thoroughly enjoyed our week and can’t wait to come back!

2024 Vac at Shore Road in Westerly, RI

Paula and Ron were awesome hosts. Always available when any questions arose. The property was exactly what we were expecting. Plenty of room for the eight of us. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. They supplied the wood for the fire pit, so we did not need to bring any. We would certainly like to go back there in the future.

Always Perfect

Second year was even better! Great host and home is truly lovely. Good time playing horseshoes, relaxing on the patio, a foosball game or two. Love the outdoor shower and the deck with the gas fire pit. House has everything and is well stocked with cooking utensils, pots/pans and so much room in the kitchen it is the focal point of the stay. Great hosts - checking-in and offering great restaurants and entertainment.

Completely relaxing

Our family of 5 ( 3 teenagers) stayed at this home recently and I can’t say enough about the home itself as far as space, cleanliness, location to beaches and stores, and tons of little extras that made our week relaxing and fun. The kids loved the movie room, hot tub, football, and big backyard for playing catch. Paula was wonderful to work with and was an excellent host. We will be back!

Amazing house, great vacation

I came at the end of June and stayed for a week with some of my girl friends. I met the owners the day I arrived and they were so sweet. The house is gorgeous and spacious. The yard and patio were awesome. The hot tub came in handy during a rainy day. Very close drive to the amazing misquamacut beaches and the really fun beach bars. We went jet skiing too. This was the best week of summer and we are definitley going to be renting again! Highly recommended!!

Great family vacation in a comfortable home

We had a fantastic week! The house was perfect for my family of 7. The house is well maintained with beautiful decorating touches. The owners, Paula and Ron, are super nice and were very responsive to any questions we had. They greeted us on check in day and showed us around the home. We loved relaxing in the backyard, playing horseshoes , corn hole, and using the hot tub. The house is about 7 minutes from the beach which was great! There is so much to do in the Westerly area. Paula and Ron helped make our stay memorable by sharing with us cool things to do in the area. We have vacationed in Westerly twice and will be back again for sure!

Family Getaway

This is a wonderful house for a family, I needed a house with multiple bedrooms, as I was taking my 89 yr old mother, 2 sisters and a girlfriend away for a brief getaway with my husband. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, morning, noon and night. We used the house in Westerly as a mid point between Mystic and Newport, spent a day at each and love the shops, and restaurants. We cooked breakfast every morning, house is extremely well equipped with everything you need to cook a great meal. We bbq'd one night and brought in take out from the Haversham Tavern just down the road another. The owner Paula is wonderful in everyway, a pleasure to rent from and talk to. The beds are comfortable and the house is immaculate, the towels plentiful. I would definitely go back if the opportunity arises. Didn't get to the beach, but did drive by then to check out the area. Love it!!! I would love to explore Westerly further, the area is lovely.

Great Location, Spacious Home

Homeowner, Paula greeted the family upon arrival. Home is well kept. Kitchen great space for preparing meals/gathering for families, Plenty of parking, set back on Shore Rd. Very easy drive to beach(maybe 5 min.) no traffic/lines of cars. Home was well equipped to just start enjoying our vacation. Linens, plenty of bath towels, well stocked kitchen and accessories. Entire family of 8 commented on comfort of mattresses on 5 beds. Air conditioning adequate, everyone cool. 2 bedrooms cooled by hallway air conditioner along with ceiling fans. Homeowner checked in during week to verify our needs were being met. Would recommend this beautiful home for families. Plenty of room to spread out, quiet and easily accessible to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The only suggestion I would offer is if homeowners would provide citronella candles, or treatment for Mosquitoes. Small body of standing water noted down a bank on right side of property. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing time away with my family.

Spacious house, great for families!

We are two families, (4 adults, 3 kids, ages 10, 6, 1.5) and the house was a nice homebase for going to Mystic to see the aquarium, or spending a day at the beach. The kitchen was enormous and stocked with everything you could need. I was pleasantly surprised that there were toys, books, and even a mini pack and play suitable for my toddler. The yard is amazing, and fully fenced in which was great. We loved the hot tub and the outdoor shower. The owners were extremely communicative, and even left us a nice welcome basket. I only have a few minor Cons: Calling it a beach house, or an ocean house is somewhat misleading. The beach is 11 minutes away, and unfortunately there is only one beach pass provided. Squeezing 4 adults, and 3 kids, who still require car seats, into one car was difficult. Given how large the house is, and the number of people who probably want to go to the beach, second pass would be helpful. The central air is only on the first level, the second floor has some window units, but some the bedrooms do not and so to get any cool air you have to leave the doors open. Those rooms to have ceiling fans.

Great house for a group of people

Great house, great yard, nice and private. My family used to live in the area and had to sell our home, so now when we come back to visit, we need to rent. This house was able to accommodate 9 (could have been 10) easily. What we loved: the hot tub, the size of the eat in kitchen, the various areas to sit outside, the ease of contacting the owners and the way they made us feel welcome. What we liked: spacious rooms, second frig. What we were sad about: the gorgeous bathtub in the master bath was not working, the food processor did not have all the parts so we could not use it, there was no vegetable peeler (we really like to cook when we are all together), the AC unit in the porch/Florida room was not working, none of us could get the wifi to connect even the younger folks. What we wished for: another full bath. There are only 2 for this house although there is a half bath on the first floor and a toilet in the laundry room (just a toilet, no sink). We did have a problem with the kitchen sink.. seems something came loose, and the owners came right over the next morning and fixed it. The nearby beach was wonderful. Overall we had a great time and felt very at home. The only reason I did not give this house 5 stars was because several things were not working when we were there, but none of it was that important.

Awesome vacation house!

This was one of the nicest places we have rented! First of all, the pictures of this house are beautiful, but the house was even more spacious and nicer in person. Paula was there to greet us, and she was an absolute Gem. Communication with her was so easy. She was so friendly and helpful. They keep this house spotless! There are so many places inside and out to gather. We had 8 people. We used the side porch with the gas pit on our bingo night, The back patio to eat dinners at the big table, and the big spacious yard to play yard games. There are also nice places to relax in the front of the house. The master bedroom/bath was great, with plenty of room to store your clothes and a wonderful big bathroom. The other 3 bedrooms were also so nice, cozy and comfortable! The out door changing room and shower were an added bonus, very nice and private. (oh-the kitchen is amazing! We love to cook and it had it all for my family "Chefs") The beach pass is for one car but if you have another car and go together you can explain that you are at the same house and they let us park both cars. There are several places to eat, get ice cream, fried food, etc. walkable from the beach area if you don't feel like bringing food. Windjammer next door to the beach- very fun bar/restaurant overlooking the beautiful ocean. Down town Westerly is so cute with shops and restaurants and a nice park! We love it here and staying at this beautiful house with wonderful hosts made it even better!

Amazing house and location!

This house far exceeded our expectations. While we were very excited to stay based on the photos and description, we did not realize how large and beautiful it was until we arrived. A group of us gathered at the home for a girls weekend and loved our stay. The kitchen is huge which was perfect for entertaining purposes as well as cooking—two stoves, multiple cooktops, an incredible island that can fit 8+ people, tons of counterspace and fully equipped with anything you might need to assist the cooking process. There are multiple bedrooms which allowed everyone space and privacy with comfortable beds, ceiling fans/air conditioning units. We loved that there were 4 bathrooms (2 with showers) plus a living room and family room area. One of our favorite aspects was outside—there are two spacious areas for lounging including a porch with a couch, table and large umbrella as well as a huge patio. The backyard is also expansive and beautiful. There’s also a ton of parking so it’s great for people to gather from different locations which in my experience is a rare find, especially close to the beach. The location was also great—less than 10 minute drive to the Westerly beaches, including a beach pass to a private beach with a food stand and nice bathrooms. There’s also a winery on the same street as the house and is about 20 minutes from Stonington and Mystic if you want to venture out a little further. The hosts were wonderful—Paula was super helpful throughout the process and they even left us a welcome basket with snacks! We wish we had stayed longer so we could enjoy all the house had to offer (including a hot tub) and are already checking our schedules to see when we can plan another trip.

Wonderful Home - Amazing Hosts

The house was as described and actually exceeded my expectations when we got to the house. I was a bit concerned about not having central air upstairs, but the air conditioning units kept in the hallway along with the ceiling fans kept us all more than comfortable. The beach was a short drive and having parking provided made this much easier especially with young kids. We did go with another family and we were not able to share the cottage pass as we had hoped, but we just alternated the pass each day while the other paid a reasonable parking fee, but the nice thing was we were able to all park in the same lot which made it easier to be at the beach together. Our hosts were absolutely amazing - overly attentive. Paula reached out several times, even offered to provide babysitting , so the adults could go out for dinner. Paula provided plenty good restaurant recommendations and other fun things to do during the trip. It was our first trip to Westerly and it certainly was memorable. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for 4 bedrooms as the space was huge and the backyard including the hot tub were a bonus. Thanks for everything

Wonderful experience start to finish!

Paula and Ron are terrific hosts. The house is immaculate inviting and spacious enough for any family to spread out. Their backyard is extra special: hot tub, outdoor shower, horseshoe pit and the largest bbque I have seen. And Paula is incredibly responsive. Ideal location too! A wonderful experience all the way around.
