Tunnel to Paradise was built in 2023, it features 4 master suites with a king size bed, plus a children's bunkhouse and 5.5 bathrooms inside the gated community of Monte Bello. Enjoy the breathtaking infinity pool and expansive outdoor living space or relax indoors with a large kitchen and custom-built dining table for 12 guests.
The space
You'll enter this property from a tunnel and you will immediately be in awe of the large open living space and abundant natural light and sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. You will never want to leave this home!

There is plenty of room for entertaining inside or outside, with large covered outdoor spaces to enjoy, the highest quality outdoor furniture and an outdoor grill and dining table for dining with the gorgeous sunsets. This home is centered around a beautiful infinity edge pool, perfect for lounging during the day or night.

The home features 4 master suites, each having a king sized bed, its own en-suite bath and stunning views of the ocean. The home also includes a children's bunkhouse with custom built bunkbeds plus a pull out couch that can comfortably sleep 7 children for families traveling together with their children.

This home is a 5 minutes from the ocean where your guests can enjoy taking mornings walks on the beach, kayaking, snorkeling, sailing and deep-sea fishing.

While this home is located in a peaceful and tranquil area, guests can drive 15 minutes to Playas del Coco to enjoy the night life. This home is located 25 minutes from the Liberia International Airport.

Tunnel to Paradise was the perfect home for our family celebration! Loved everything about this home. It has a spectacular view and the home itself is nicely decorated with all the luxuries of a modern vacation rental. We loved every moment of our time here.

Incredible!!

We were very happy with the home. Excellent location, very private yet located near playa hermosa and playa coco. The pool and the view are absolutely breathtaking! A very large table with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. When we pulled up to the property our kids went crazy and couldn’t believe the paradise we had found!!

Stunning Stay

This was our second time to Monte Bellow (the community where the home was) but our first to stay in Tunnel to Paradise. The check in process was incredibly easy and Rebeca was very accommodating to our arrival time. The house itself is stunning. Clean, elegant and had everything we might need for our stay. The kids fell in love with the back "kids" room and set up shop. The view is better than the photos suggest and we were able to see many different birds just from the back deck. There is a small grocery at the bottom of the hill that we found to be the best out of a few different ones we went to throughout the area and really did not leave the home too much as it was very comforable. We went in the hottest time of the year and it was exceptionally hot while we were there so the pool was perfect and there was absolutely no need for a heated pool. Rebeca and the owners were wonderful when we had a hiccup on our trip and truly made us want to go back again soon. We will be back to this home as it was very convenient to the Liberia airport and all the activities the Guanacaste can offer. I highly recommend Tunnel to Paradise!!! Thank you so much for an incredibly stay and being so accommodating with the surprise event we managed.

Lovely beach

Playa Hermosa is a quiet beach town where it seems many Costa Rican families visit in the evenings and weekends. When we were there, the weather was extremely hot and windy, limiting the time we could spend at the beach or doing outside activities, but late afternoon was nice and sunsets spectacular. The beach is sheltered and flat, making it good for small children. We tried to rent boogie boards from a beach restaurant but they were all broken. Having a couple of boogie boards to use available at the house would have been great. Though the distance to the beach is not too far, it is up and down a very steep hill and challenging for most to walk. With the heat it was prohibitive. We ended up driving down to the beach and parking up the road. The house is spacious, modern, well equipped, and true to description. The pool is great. We had issues with wind whistling through the outside door in the bunk room all night and though we mentioned it to the property manager, it was not addressed and we didn’t find the management company very responsive in general. One surprise was that we arrived 4hrs later than expected due to an airline issue out of our control and then informed we would have to pay a late check-in fee. We had to keep blinds down most of the day due to heat and sun pouring in the all glass windows, but that is the nature of a modern house. Despite the weather issues and the difficulty sleeping in the one room, we had a nice time and enjoyed the stay.

We are from Minnesota. 3 years ago we went down to Costa with some friends and fell in love with Costa Rica and decided to build our dream vacation home so we could enjoy it with family and friends. Our house is brand new with construction just completed in October 2023. I'm also new to being a host of a property. We are hoping to share our love of Costa Rica with the guests that stay in our house.
