Perfect location for a week of fishing. Underwater and overhead lights made for great night fishing. The kitchen had every pot, pan, utinsel you would ever need. The screened in patio was also great for avoiding bugs. Great balcony for sunsets. And the ping pong table was an unexpected bonus as several tournaments were played.

We absolutely love this home!! This was our second stay, and we can't wait to come back. The views are stunning, and the location is perfect. We were able to hear the Saturday night concert at the pavilion while relaxing back deck and the kids love floating in the bay on the lily pad.

Family Vacation

We got the cousins together with their grandma and enjoyed relaxing together! Check-in was easy and the owners met us at the house to point out a few things like night fishing light switches. It's almost run like you are renting a hotel suite as the professional cleaners turn the paper towels and toilet paper into flowers and you have nicely folded and wrapped white towels on every bed. The kitchen is practically sticked with everything, except specialty coffee makera like nespresso or kureig. They do have a coffee pot, toaster, and an ice-cream maker. The hotel style ice maker was also a huge plus! All of the beds had temperpedic style mattresses so we all slept comfortably. We have 2 kids under 2 years old and they provide a small closet crib so we only had to bring 1 pack-n-play. We enjoyed the fishing off the attached pier, catching several small fish including some great bait fish to take surf fishing. My nephew did manage to catch an alligator gar off the pier. They also provide 4 kayaks and several different size life vests so you can play in the bay. The community pool is included incase you're not inclined to swim in the bay or gulf. It's also a very sort drive or golf car ride to the beach.

This property was absolutely perfect. It had everything we needed for our family getaway. Good fishing at night right off the back patio and very short drive to the beach. In a quiet neighborhood with way more than enough room for our family of six. It’s close enough to town to go eat or whatever but far enough away to escape the traffic and noise. Ben and Linda were wonderful hosts and great to deal with. We’ll definitely be staying in this house again for our future trips to Galveston

We had a great time at Laguna Pescada. Thank you for being such hospitable hosts. The view was beautiful and the kids had great fun on the water fishing, kayaking, and sunning on the floating lily pad!

Relaxation & Beautiful Sunsets

My whole family absolutely loved our time here. It had everything we needed and more! We had so much fun fishing and crabbing right off the back dock, swinging in the cute swings, relaxing in the hammocks, and watching the sunsets off the top back deck! The space and layout of the house were perfect for our group (4 adults and 3 kiddos). We also enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the slower, quieter pace of this end of the island. We will definitely be back!

Beach family weekend

This was the perfect house for our family. Clean, comfortable and great location (on the bay) with beach across the road. The last day extended family came to hang out and spend the day at the beach and boat ride in the bay. Everyone commented on what a nice house it was with lots of seating places inside and outside where we had a seafood boil and visited.

Had a Great Family stay! Love all the Nautical Decor of the property & nice landscaping. To say this beach house is well stocked is an understatement. All the things, both Inside & Out!! Owners incredibly responsive & kind. Check out West End Marina & Restaurant for a nearby meal and of course Katie’s Seafood House over at the pier. Lots of fishing & caught enough blue crabs to have a boil off the dock. We were blessed with great weather and pretty sunsets except a rainstorm morning of checkout.. But caught this Beautiful Rainbow off the upper deck!

Amazing Views and Location

This home is in the most perfect location and offers incredible views. The house is just as described and the top deck and shaded downstairs area are perfect. The home is comfortable, clean and the owners are very responsive and kind. We loved our stay and look forward to coming back.

Quick last minute get away

Ben and Linda were awesome. Met us at check in and showed us around the property. Everything was just as described. So much fun stuff to use and play with. We will defiantly be back.

Laguna Pescada

This place had a lot of space for our family. Beautiful deck and great space downstairs to relax and fish. The landscaping was gorgeous. Lots of toys like kayaks and ping pong table. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of cookware and utensils. Beds were comfortable and we all slept well. utensils.

Beauty!!!

When I normally visit rental stays, the environment is a bit comercial, but this place was a beautiful rendition of a life well lived! The initial greeting and welcoming was awesome, the unsaid vitrue of welcoming someone into your space was authentic and genuine. We felt recieved and welcomed. The amenities and hospitality are everything you need to enjoy, relax, refresh and recharge. Thank uou fou for allowing us into your spaces. Also, check out the books they have some great mental escapades on shelves.

Nice house with great amenities.

Very roomy house with a nice upper deck and a nice, covered area downstairs. There is a nice dock to fish off of, my group did catch fish. The house is stocked with all the good tools you need to cook. Make sure you buy what you need before going to the house unless you want to make a 15-mile trip to Walmart. The owners met us upon check-in and gave us the grand tour, very helpful for us.

Fabulous stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is absolutely amazing & owners are very helpful & easy to reach. We stayed for 5 days with adults & kids and everyone had a blast. We enjoyed the fish lights, the gorgeous sunsets, the fishing & crabbing & ping pong table. This is our 2nd time staying here & it is the best. Thank you!

Vacation in paradise

Property was very neat and clean. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The owner was a pleasure to interact with and was always willing to answer questions. The house overall was a dream and we already spoke about another stay. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 12. Its a must rent.

So much fun!!

This house was the perfect size for my family (myself & husband, 2 kids, my adult brother, and my father). We were impressed with the cleanliness and the activities that were available for us at the house. We spent most of our time fishing off the back dock and kayaking. The beach access across the street was easily accessible and was not as busy as it would be if we would have been closer to the center of the town. We loved it so much that we hope to be back next year!!

Fabulous family get-together House

Every year in March we select a family destination and Galveston this year was wonderful. Loved the fishing & crabbing off the dock, beautiful scenery & sunsets, the house was really comfortable, had all amenities, and the commercial ice machine a bonus! Our host was very accomodating. We look forward to returning next year.

An Amazing Winter Vacation

This place is amazing. We had 2 families (that are best friends) plan a winter break vacation to some place warmer than Maryland. We nailed it with this house. Our teenager girls all bunked in the upstairs room. It was a week long slumber party. The view is spectacular and Ben was a pleasure to deal with. Would definitely recommend this house for the family who wants to relax with a great view.

Fantastic stay

Our family had a fantastic time at Ben's house. The location is perfect for fishing, relaxing and enjoy what all Galveston Bay has to offer. The view is wonderful around sunset time. Ben is a great host and super responsive to whatever question and need that we have. Would love to stay again in the future!

Weekend getaway

Great property in a great location away from all the hustle and bustle of the big beach. Very close to San Luis pass and several beaches for fishing or swimming. Massive gar under the lights at night and a few trout. Fishing wasn’t on that weekend, but we did have crabs in the trap. Highly recommend this off the beaten path gem. Owner is quick to respond and very nice.

Growing up in Houston, we have loved going to the beach and fishing our whole lives. We found our dream home in 2005. It is perfect for family gatherings and fishing and crabbing with the most beautiful sunsets on the island. The property has 100 feet of bulkhead and we added underwater lights so we can enjoy viewing the fish at night. Our 5 grand kids spend hours at the beach making sand castles and collecting shells and Catching fish and crabs off of the dock. All the sand toys you will ever need are provided. Even on rainy or cold days we can spend out time downstairs in covered patio and screened porch listening to music and BBQing and watching the chiminia .
