Entire upper level, sleeps 8, bikes, and firepit

Enjoy your vacation in this beautiful 3 bedroom/2 bath upper-level home that is located is the heart of OKI. Just a short walk to multiple area restaurants and shops and three blocks (8-10 minute walk) from the beach.

NOTE: There is a separate ground-floor studio apartment (NOT included) that may be occupied by other guests. We do enforce quiet hours for the comfort of all our guests.

Prepare gourmet meals in the home's beautiful, well-stocked kitchen with custom cabinets and granite countertops.

Enjoy the sounds of birds and the ocean while you relax on the screened in porch.

If you want to get some fresh air and exercise, use the provided bicycles to explore the island and discover it's beauty.
If you bring a boat, there's plenty of room to park. You are welcome to use the lockable garage to secure your fishing gear overnight, and there is a drop cord and electrical outlet outside to charge your batteries.

Self-check-in with keyless entry. Work or play using the high-speed wireless internet, or spend a day on the beach with complimentary beach chairs and beach toys!

Access to entire home and shared access to the garage, bikes, firepit, yard and driveway areas.

As your host, we are committed to exceeding your expectation for an enjoyable stay in lovely Oak Island. We are very responsive and always available to help with any questions or issues that may arise.

Oak Island is a low-key place to relax and enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle. The neighborhood is quiet, and just three blocks to direct beach access. Most of the homes in the area are full-time residents, and everyone here is very welcoming and friendly!

We are just 15 minute drive from historic Southport, where "Safe Haven" and other films were based.

There are multiple ocean-front restaurants on the island, and plenty to do, including golf, putt-putt & arcade, skydiving, and more. Go shopping or drop your boat in for a day of fishing at one of the boat launches on the island.

Walking or biking is a great way to get fresh air and a little exercise at the same time. There are lots of restaurants, stores and shopping within a 5-8 minute walk. If you want to explore a little further, driving works well, or call a taxi or an Uber on the island.

PETS
Pets are welcome!! There is a non-refundable pet fee of $75 that covers up to 2 (two) dogs, max size 60 lbs.
**Note: For the sake of guests in the lower unit, please do not bring dogs that are prone to barking.

LINENS
Linens (sheets, towels, washcloths) are included in the price!

TECHNOLOGY:
- Smart TVs are provided with access to Netflix/Hulu, etc. Simply sign into your own account.
- High-Speed Wifi is provided.
- A washer/dryer is available for your use (free) in the laundry room.

HEATING/COOLING
Central heating & AC is provided. Guests may adjust the thermostat to their liking.

PARKING:
Parking is available in the driveway for up to TWO vehicles. Please park only on the LEFT side of the driveway, and do not block the driveway or parking spot for the "Under the Sea" lower unit for other guests.
Additional vehicles can park along the street as needed. Always keep your vehicle locked at all times.

DESKS/WORK AREA:
A small desk area is situated in living room area for travelers who require workspace; guests would simply need to bring their own computer to plug in. WiFi is provided.

SOUNDS:
While here, you may hear:
- Ocean waves
- Renters below your unit (your floor is their ceiling) Because of this, we do ask that all guests are mindful of quiet hours (10 p.m. - 8 a.m.)
We have provided sound machines in case any of these noises are bothersome for light sleepers.

SAFETY NOTES:
1. This home is NOT baby-proofed. (I do not have outlet blockers, no furniture is strapped to walls, stairs do not have gates, there are no safety locks on cabinets, etc.) Some windows are low to the ground where curious kids could easily get out. Children must be accompanied by adults at all times, and guests are responsible for the safety of their children.
2. Guest are required to climb a full flight of stairs to get into the unit.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
While we are happy to welcome guests of all backgrounds, we will only be accepting booking requests from:

- AirBnB users who are "verified" and who already have multiple positive reviews from other hosts. (A fully refundable $300 security deposit is required from guests who have no reviews. The $300 is returned once the cleaning crew confirms there are no damages, and the apartment is in good condition.)
- Renters that are above the age of 25.
- A maximum of 8 guests per reservation. Extra guests are not allowed.
- We value the relationship with our neighbors and fellow renters, so events/gathering/parties are not to be held by guests. In order to keep the unit in excellent condition for future guests and to respect guests in the downstairs unit, we am firm on these rules. I apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

While we do tend to be a “hands off” host, we will be available via messaging/phone should you need anything.

NOTE: This listing is for the upstairs, main-level ONLY. There is a separate ground-floor studio apartment (NOT included) that may be occupied by other guests.

Incredible place to stay! You're close enough to the beach and the inlet. The boat landing is extremely close and plenty of room to park 2 boats on this property. I didn't catch that there were already bikes included at this property in the listing but there are bikes, beach chairs, and Cornhole boards.The master bathroom has an amazing shower and we never ran out of hot water. The neighborhood felt safe and the neighbors seemed friendly.Bottom line i will definitely book this listing in the future and can't wait to return.

Excellent communications with host

We live nearby and we had to move out of our house while the kitchen floor was being redone. This house was perfect for me, my spouse, my two daughters and our cat The house is very near a grocery store, a coffee shop, some good restaurants, and great walking around. We couldn't have chosen better.
