This superb location on the waters edge of the Sheepscot River is so close to Route One's amenities, the Boothbay Peninsula & Wiscasset's Village... yet remote, peaceful and tranquil. The main cottage of around 1250 square feet offers an open concept updated kitchen and living room with beautiful fireplace, cathedral ceilings with exposed beams and a wall of windows overlooking the water. Updated bathroom with laundry, walk-in closet and 2 bedrooms. Heat pumps for heating and cooling and a large deck with amazing views. The guest cottage of around 362 square feet offers an open room full of water views, a bathroom and it's own deck for relaxation.

Wonderful stay in Edgecomb!

Lovely property with stunning views and just a fantastic visit! The house is exactly as pictured, generously stocked and wonderfully appointed - everything you could need for cooking, entertaining and relaxing on the deck or by the fire. It provided the perfect quiet retreat while also being a great location to jump off to all mid-coast Maine has to offer, including charming downtown Wiscasset just a stone's throw away. Hosts were super communicative and responsive - greatly appreciated the added generosity of use of the national park pass, too! Thank you!

Adorable home, beautiful location!

Truly loved our stay! The layout of the house with the seperate guest house was perfect for our party of 4 as we traveled with seniors; we let them have the main house and we took the guest house since there are stairs leading down to it. The view was just stunning and so relaxing after our days of adventuring around Maine. We love to cook and the kitchen was stocked like it was my own home. Lastly, the communication from the owners was exceptional, and the checkout request was very reasonable. Highly recommend!

River oasis

Lovely cottage and guest cottage in the best spot in mid-coast Maine! We enjoyed our stay, and appreciate all the nice touches (along with the spare nautical decor that usually is part of similar properties). This is a well-stocked place, with everything you need to entertain yourselves and other guests. Communication with Nick was excellent, and the whole check-in and check-out processes were easy and reasonable. Most of all, this location is superb and if you love the rivers of mid-coast Maine, it doesn't get any better than this. The location is very private, while also being close to our favorite haunts in Wiscasset and Damariscotta, and there is a short walk to the beautiful open space at Fort Edgecomb on the island. Our family enjoyed relaxing and exploring the island, and I was able to get some painting done of the gorgeous pylons that change with the tide and light throughout the day. Thank you, Nick and Jen!

Amazing View, beautiful, configurable property!

Such a beautiful property! I really recommend this property. It was our first time using VRBO and am so pleased. We felt very safe here. The kids were in and out on the grounds barfooted. The wildlife and views, the beautiful flowers inside and out made it so spscial. Fort Edgecomb was fun to visit and within walking distance. Everything was well furnished and decorated. Watch your toes around the bedframes. A wifi relay would be an easy upgrade for the guest house as well as a lock for the bathroom door in the main house. I hope we can come back some time. Just lovely!
