Spacious Studio Basement Apartment Horse Farm Stay

Bright basement guest suite with huge fully equipped kitchen. Private & quiet rural farm stay with horses. Learn about the herd with an hour meet and greet hosted by Lorna. Take a stroll on the property before heading 15 minutes into Kingston for some shopping. Enjoy the fire pit and private outdoor bar area at night before turning in for a quiet nights sleep. Owners live upstairs and are home when guests stay, so we are always available if there is anything at all you may need. Pets are welcome, please don’t forget to register them so we know they are coming.

This was our second time staying here and we just love it. Very quiet, the property is very well maintained, the suite is very big, bright and clean and well stocked. We plan on returning again sometime in 2026.

This is an outstanding property. Located as a fully private basement apartment in homeowners home. All correspondence with the homeowner was quick. We were greeted upon our arrival and shown to our unit. The farm is lovely and the location is perfect, you feel far away even though you’re only 20 minutes from Kingston. The unit is very well appointed, clean and comfortable. Cable TV with firestick to log into any of your services. Bed is comfortable. Linens are nice. We had our dog with us and it was great to walk around the property and then hang out under the trees in the Muskoka chairs. It also has a nice little patio (note there is not an outdoor BBQ). The kitchen has everything you would need. There was even fresh eggs (courtesy of the resident hens). Our only single “complaint” is that the microwave was set on top of the refrigerator and unless you were over 6 ft tall you had to pull up a stool to get on to use it. Not the safest thing for guests to be doing? Maybe if that has to be the placement - provide a proper step stool. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay and would highly recommend this property.

We found it to be a great location that was close enough to everything we wanted to do and so peaceful when we were back. Sitting out back was lovely and I enjoyed watching the chickens and horses. The chicken eggs were delicious. Kitchen is well stocked. Overall a lovely clean place off the main path which was exactly what we had wanted.

This was a beautiful stay at a convenient location for visiting Thousand Islands National Park. We thoroughly enjoyed the ability to walk the grounds with our dog. Highly recommend!

Amazing property

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. We were here for a dog agility competition. The property and apartment were immaculate, Lorna was a very friendly and gracious host. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Good location, just a few minutes from Kingston. We had access to walking trails. The property is beautiful. We plan on returning.

Wow!!!

What an incredible unit and property. You aren’t just getting a place to stay you are getting an experience. It’s 15 min from Kingston but a world of difference than a city unit. The pictures are great but when you walk in you say Wow it’s even better.

Amazing!

We had an amazing stay at the farm with our dog. The apartment is clean, comfortable and during the summer heat, nice and cool. Beautiful scenery, beautiful horses and great hospitality!! Perfect place for a quiet getaway with fantastic hosts.

Perfect getaway

This was our 2nd time staying at the farm and just like before, it was amazing. The property is beautiful, the horses & Lil Barb are a wonderful addition, and Lorna & Tim are great hosts. Anytime we travel to the area, we will always try to stay at the farm!

Wonderful stay on a horse farm.

Gorgeous property very close to Kingston, with views of pastures and forest. The suite is modern and beautifully furnished, with all the bells and whistles. I loved meeting the horses and having conversations with Lorna, the owner. I will definitely go back.

Over the years we've stayed at dozens of properties across North America and this has been our favorite! From the warm welcome, gorgeous property, beautiful interiror, and of course the animals, our stay was amazing! Lorna and Tim are incredibly nice and made us feel at home for our stay.
