Fantastic Fishhook home w/PONTOON on premier sport & fishing lake! Pet Friendly!

Full kitchen, complete with service settings for 8, free Wifi, electric fireplace. Spacious downstairs bedroom. Yhe second bedroom is located upstairs with a large loft, which has two beds. Deck includes patio table and chairs (furniture is seasonal), patio furniture (seasonal), fire table with a gas grill. There are also 4 adirondak chairs under the gazebo at the lake. Property sits on 21/2 acres, with lawn. woods and river access also. There are trails within 1/4 miles. Itasca State Park, Headwaters to the Mississippi River and The Heartland Trail are nearby for more outdoor sports. The house is an all season place. Fishhook lake is known for it's fishing, boating and skiing. The house is centrally located so the towns of Dorset and Nevis are close.

A welcome packet will be provided with info about restaurants and attractions, with discount coupons to local restaurants included.

Great host and home

Kristi was a great host. She responded to questions immediately. The house was spotless and was supplied well. Kristi left us a fruit basket. We will definitely book again.

Lake retreat

We were up for the weekend. House has been refurbished and is lovely. Plenty of room for a large family and even though you have road between the house and lake, you still have great access. We were down on the lake in the gazebo every evening and watched fish jumping, ducks and pelicans swim by and even had a Bald Eagle sitting on the deck one morning! We enjoyed our stay! Will be back!

Fun stay!

We loved the property. It was set up nicely for our group. Our host was more than generous when the septic system froze. She let us stay for the rest of the weekend and refunded our money. We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful Vacation Spot!

We enjoyed our stay in this roomy and well equipped vacation home. It was very clean and pleasant. The furniture was comfortable. We especially enjoyed spending time on the porch and the dock.

We loved it!

We loved this house and property! Had a great time relaxing on the porch watching the lake and the river alongside the house was a bonus for birdwatching. We could hear the loons calling. The pontoon was perfect for some of us to get a chance to go fishing. Very peaceful and well maintained. Communication with the owner all went smoothly. We look forward to booking this property again!

Great place to stay. Had an issue with the lock box upon arrival and the Host resolved this in minutes. I would recommend.

Beautiful lake home

Comfortable and picturesque - especially the little dock on the creek. Abundant wildlife. Kind of cold when we were there. Having a boat and kayaks to tour the lake was a bonus.

Fabulous Comfortable Retreat

Our family (all adults 18) had a wonderful time at this Fishhook Lake home which was impeccably clean and spaciously comfortable! The home provided all the amenities needed for a restful stay. We especially enjoyed the well-maintained pontoon for time on the lake and the private back porch complete with lots of seating and a fire table. Located in an area near many fun things to do: Itasca State Park, Forestridge Winery, etc. Communication with the host was excellent and the lovely fruit basket was a special touch that made us feel most welcome. Note: There is a 30 mph road between the home and the lake.
Many seating areas: kitchen, dining room, enclosed front porch, outdoor back porch, beachside gazebo, living room with fireplace and TV areas

Our stay was great. The house, boat and lake are fabulous. Communication was great. The pictures don't do this one justice. We will defiantly stay again.

House was very nice and clean. Was very nice gesture to have the fruit basket and toy for the dogs. Pantoon was nice but were a few issues. The gas was empty in one tank and almost completely empty in the other. Was dissapointed with this . Host was kind to bring gas but shortened are time to use pantoon. Feel gas should have been full the day we arrived. Canopy top is missing 2 screw/ clips to hold it in place. Also would have been nice to have a anchor. Overall nice place

Family Christmas

Cabin was used for additional family members during Christmas celebration nearby. Space was great; with sections to view tv & fireplace. Kitchen, dining area was spacious & well equipped. Bedroom on main floor was located away from active areas so privacy was allowed. Loft upstairs with 3 beds was roomy but area was open with no walls for privacy. Beds were very comfortable. Adults enjoyed use of games provided. Adequate heating for our winter stay; plenty of blankets & cozy pillows to use. Word of caution about steps into back door; very icy and difficult to carry belongings up the steep incline.

Make sure you have the amenities verified!

It’s a nice place and the host was nice. However air conditioning was advertised as being available — and it wasn’t. It was the hottest week of the year and incredibly humid which left the cabin like a sauna, so we left. We would not have booked the property with A/C especially with two little kids who got hot quickly.
