We appreciate detailed reviews like this because we can tell you how much we love our home but it sometimes goes farther coming from fellow travellers.

We're glad to hear that the home was nice and clean! This review is accurate in some ways but inaccurate in others. For example, she says that there were no fans in the bedrooms. In fact, there are 3 fans, and they were all used by this group. Also, the home has Air Conditioning! She is correct that one of the bedrooms is smaller than the other 3. It has a sloping roof ceiling which makes it low on one side of the room. Yes, the mattress in that room sits directly on the floor, but structurally this is no different than the support of a box spring or platform bed. The reviewer makes it sound like someone had to sleep on the actual floor, when in fact this was not the case. It was also inaccurate for the reviewer to say that you can't stand up in the bedroom. On the entrance side of the room, it is a normal height, and on the low side of the room, above the bed, there is still 3 feet of head room. Our bedroom photographs are always taken from an angle toward the bed and if possible, a window. So the photograph of the bedroom in question is not meant to be deceiving and in fact you can see the low ceiling on that side of the bed quite clearly in the photograph. I even stood up the pillows to help provide scale in the photo. While we think that most couples would be happy with this room, the other bedrooms are certainly bigger and better, so perhaps this smaller room is better suited for a single or kids. The mattresses in the 3 main bedrooms are all memory foam mattresses purchased in 2016. The other one is an older standard one, but most people like this one most. Finally, the reviewer mentions "when we got there we were not happy..." The standard check in time is 4:00 pm, and the owner had repeatedly communicated that because the home had to be cleaned the day of their arrival, they should not expect the check in before 4:00 pm. At at 10:30 am on the arrival date, the reviewer began asking if the place was clean & ready for them yet!! Despite responses to each of her texts indicating the check in time needed to remain 4:00 pm, she and her group showed up at 2:00 pm and barged into the home while it was still being cleaned. In closing, please know that the owner of this property takes great pride in the home, and works to communicate clearly, and takes action to ensure guests are happy. Hi Neysa, We always take guest feedback very seriously, and want to improve based on your experience with us. After looking into it, it seems you requested to reduce the number of nights on your reservation to help with the overall cost. Unfortunately, when you booked, it was prior to COVID and our cancellation policy was not nearly as flexible as it is now. Because of that, we weren't able to grant you a refund until after your dates had passed, to determine whether the nights you cancelled were re-booked by someone else. This wasn't the ideal way to handle cancellations and shortened stays, which is why we recently changed our policy to be extremely flexible.
