So many visitors want to stay downtown, but most the cabins are old and really in need of attention. River Cottage is a newly remodeled luxury cabin overlooking the Little Pigeon River and is just steps to Riverside drive and the Gatlinburg strip. Enjoy a modern farmhouse with luxury finishes inside and sounds and views of the river from the deck outside. You can cast a line and catch trout right off your deck (fishing license required). Retire in the hot tub or covered outdoor firepit area.

A washer/dryer, free local and long distance, iron and ironing board are included for your convenience. Free wireless internet and plenty of parking.

Free WIFI, a washer / dryer, iron and ironing board, and paved parking are included for your convenience. All linens and towels are provided as well as a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, soaps and detergents.

Host requires the guest to sign a rental management agreement prior to allowing access to the unit. The agreement details our cancellation policy, terms and conditions. Must be 21 or older to reserve a cabin and person booking must be staying in the cabin.

We provide a starter supply of paper products, detergents and soaps and coffee filters. We do not supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash and there are no pantry items, spices, salt & pepper or coffee included - guests should bring these items.

This cabin is professionally managed by Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals in Gatlinburg, TN. We provide concierge service as well as dispatched maintenance and housekeeping should you need assistance during your stay. The location provides river sounds off the deck, easy walking to distance to strip for food, drinks and shopping. Park the car and walk. We like to eat at Howards for excellent steaks, smoky mountain brewery for drinks. Great place to stay.Easy reservations and communication with management

Amazing cabin!

It's a two block walk to the Parkway strip, which helps save on parking costs by not driving. Upon arrival, the house was very clean and spacious. Two king bedrooms share a bathroom in the middle. The master king bedroom has its own bathroom. The third bathroom is located off of the foyer area near the air hockey table and not connected to a specific bedroom. The kitchen was stocked with the necessary pots, pans, plates, and utensils. The driveway had ample parking for a few vehicles. Checking in/out was super easy. Bears were spotted down in the Little Pigeon River while we were grilling on the patio balcony. We were not able to light the gas fireplace during our stay. This would have been helpful to balance out the heating. The central unit in the home heated the back bedrooms a little too much, and left the kitchen and living room cold. Other times when the heat was on, the unit blew cold air. This was a bit odd and difficult to find an ideal or consistent temperature. Not thge end of the world. Overall, this was a great stay!

It was only a very short walk to downtown Gatlinburg. The communication was easy between Elk Spring and everything went smoothly. This was a very comfortable stay for all of us and we would 110 percent book this home again!!

Awesome Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was spacious enough for our family of 5. Having 3 bathrooms was a plus for getting ready. The location was perfect; 5 minute walk to all the action and attractions. There seems to be a local bear that takes the path along the river right below the deck. We even came across one eating the acorns in the front yard! After scaring it off he came back after we were in the house and got to watch it from the window...what a treat! The house was stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes. If we plan to visit again we'll definitely stay there. The only things I would recommend is that the property management provide more than two dishwashing detergents and trash bags as you can go through them quickly during a weeks stay. Also, a sponge would be nice too!

Annual Spring Break Get Away

The location on the river is amazing! Right on the bend of the river and beautiful windows. The house was spacious and very bright. It was great location for the little ones to roam and within walking distance to all attractions.

3 day stay at River Cottage

The location is close to everything downtown Gatlinburg. The outdoor fire pit and unique grain bend top were great ideas. The view of the river from the deck is awesome.The only thing that needs to be added is a cover over the hot tub area. Unfortunately for us we had rain the last day and with no cover you cannot use the hot tub. So, as guest you need to know that.Def give it a 4/5 stars for place to stay in Gatlinburg.

Saw a bear in the back yard on the first day. Location was close to restaurant and stores to shop. The only concern we had was, the water presure to take a shower was horrible! The hot water in the showers lasted 5 mins at the most. Didn't matter what time of day. Kitchen sink was full pressure and hot water.

Great Rental

The property was clean but sound echoed through the house with not much sound proofing but would come again and recommend to a friend. Not sure about the bears walking around the house though!!!!

Gatlinburg House on the Creek

Awesome house very close to the Trolly stop and Parkway. The air hockey table was a hit with the kids. The house was spacious enough for our group of 8 and well furnished. Can't count the number of bear sitings. Would definitely stay here again.

It was clean and spacious and the stream ran right by the house which made for plenty of wild life. We seen a bear 2 of the 3 days we were there which was an incredible experience! What a great little river cottage!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Family of 4 (mom, dad and 2 teenagers) stayed here for our 7th trip down to Gatlinburg- since our kids were young. First time staying so close to the parkway. What a great location to be able to walk to dinner, breakfast and to shop in the shops on the parkway. A quick walk down River road also took us right into the national park - took a great hike to the welcome center and back. Fired up the gas fireplace in the morning and in the evening to warm up the house a bit - open up the sliding door to hear the river while we relaxed. Grill was easy to use to make salmon for dinner. Saw a bear as we grilled dinner- we were pretty sure he smelled dinner and wanted to join us 🐻 Plenty of space for everyone - but cozy enough to spend family time together! Elk Springs made us happy again - thank you Estrada Family March, 2024

Reviewer Comments: I would give this property a 5 rating but it although it is right where this everything is accessible. it is surrounded by dilapidated homes and right next to Eco lodge Motel where clothes are hanging from balconies and people are looking right down at you. the gazebo is not that attractive as shown. Check the street and surroundings before booking. Otherwise very nice. Guess it depends on what you’re looking for. The neighborhood was sketchy. Never experienced this when visiting Elk Lodge Resorts and have been for many years. I would only recommend after informing of the area as I wasn’t.
