We stayed here for a week with our 4 adult children. The house had plenty of room for everyone and we appreciated being able to bring our dog. The updates that have been done to the home are beautiful, especially the master suite. The kitchen is spacious but could use some updates. The outdoor space is very nice, but the structures need some repair and cleaning. The rental management company (Avantstay) was very helpful and responsive when we had questions. The location is ideal, with easy access to stores and restaurants.

Great Lake Norman Location

Our family celebrated 4th July reunion at Shore-to-Please and had a great time accommodating everyone. The kitchen layout helped facilitate feeding our large family and the back yard with the view of the lake is amazing. The master bedroom is downstairs with great views and master bathroom.

Family Time Out

We were very happy with the house. Enough bedrooms to accommodate 6 adults and a 1 year old. Enough space so we weren’t tripping over each other. Would recommend this property!!!

Lake house

We enjoyed our stay, plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was beat up but still has everything we needed. Master bedroom was nice, one of the shower heads was broken.

What a wonderful stay at this beautiful home for a family wedding in Charlotte! Great, clean and well layed out home for 12 of us. We had every thing that was needed for cooking, relaxing and playing both inside and out.

Beautiful and cleanly Lake House!

Had an INCREDIBLE experience. All 12 of us had a comfortable place to sleep. Beautiful large kitchen for cooking, an awesome living room, and super fun game room. The dock and outdoor area was great for swimming and outdoor activities. Highly recommend this property!

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home on the lake. The property was spotless, well-appointed, and exactly as described. From the comfortable beds to the fully stocked kitchen, every detail was thoughtfully considered. The views of the lake were breathtaking, and we especially enjoyed mornings on the deck with coffee and evenings by the water.Communication with the host was prompt and courteous, and check-in was seamless. We stayed at this home for a week with four families and, overall, had a good vacation thanks to the excellent location and spacious layout. The lake access and outdoor space were definitely the highlights, and the local property manager was responsive and helpful whenever we had questions.That said, we were disappointed that the home itself didn’t reflect the premium price we paid. While the property has great potential, it feels dated and could benefit from significant updates and better maintenance.The kitchen, in particular, was underwhelming. The stove and the pans were old and low quality, making it difficult to cook meals evenly. The home was also stocked with only the bare minimum of supplies. We ran short on basic necessities like dishwasher pods, paper towels, toilet paper, blankets, and towels. We also found broken drinking glasses, dirty coffee cups, etc.Throughout the home, there were numerous signs of wear and deferred maintenance, including a cracked refrigerator drawer, cracked light switch plates, scratches on the floors, and gaps in the shower wall tile promoting water intrusion, etc. Families with young children should also be aware that the dock is quite old and has several tripping hazards that could be a safety concern.We truly enjoyed the location, the size of the home, and the beds were comfortable. However, for the price, we expected a property that was more reflective of a premium vacation rental.

Everything we needed and more

We had a large extended family trip. This was our first time in Lake Norman and many of our family’s first time in a VRBO. My mom said it was the best equipped vacation house we’ve ever stayed in. Everyone had a comfy spot to sleep, even my 4 month old and my sister’s 13 year old dog. The dock was amazing, we rented a boat and it was so easy to get in and out of the cove. Kids and adults enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding, and just plain swimming off the dock. Quiet cove and neighborhood and nice to take walks and jogs in the nearby housing development. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Lake Norman.

Photos grossly misrepresent this home. There are broken, moldy outlets, deck boards about to fall through, the entire microwave has been taken out of the wall, no maintenance has been don’t to the home, whatsoever. The chairs on the bedroom deck are so disgusting you can’t even sit on them. Mold so bad, my grandaughter had to have asthma medication called in for her. We found a pill under the master bedroom that turned out to be an Adderall ( we had 2 toddlers with us). My husband was stung in the eye by a wasp from the several nests beside the trash cans outside (trip to urgent care)and had to buy wasp spray. The entire experience in this house was a disaster. The photos on VRBO are a misrepresentation of this particular house. The dock is in need of maintenance as well. The gutters lead directly to where you have to park your boat. So if it rains, your boat is getting double soaked. The bumper trim around the dock is falling off, boards in need of repair, etc. the “tiki” bar is useless. Seating so moldy and dirty, you can use it. There is no refrigeration, etc to be able to use it properly.

Nice views, big house!

Overall this was a great vacation. There are a few things that should be done around the property for safety. Like repairs to the plank boards on the upper water deck (outdoor bar), repairs to the underside of the roof on the upper water dock, repair to back steps and repairs needed to the upper bedroom patio. Outside could use a good power washing and landscaping needs some work. A couple of dead trees need to come down before they fall. Overall it was ok

Christmas family gathering

Beautiful home with plenty of room for 14 people. Had everything we needed to enjoy 4 days with feasting and visiting. The house was nicely decorated for Christmas before we got there. Really loved the house and easy no contact check in and check out.

Wonderful Holiday Stay

We spent the long Thanksgiving weekend at this spacious home with our large group of family and friends. The house was clean, located in a convenient neighborhood and provided a beautiful setting for us while making special memories!
