Good location between two grocey stores

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The online pictures do not give a true picture of the house. Furniture has been updated and it had plenty of room for our family of ten. The kitchen was well supplied with pots and pans to cook with. They could have a couple more large plates, but we used a lot of paper plates so it wasn't a real issue. The pool room in the basement was a good extra room for a tv, and we enjoyed the pool table. The pool got lots of use. It is a bit of a walk to the beach, and the steps to carry things to the beach were better without any wagon to carry your things. We dropped people off and parked back at the rental. The place was clean when we arrived.

The house is roomy and accommodates our size family. The walk to the beach is not bad (10 min) but there is no sidewalks. The house could be cleaned better as there was a lot of dust and some broken furniture. Other than some minor issues a good overall stay.

Nice Property

Property was nice & plenty of space. Pool & neighborhood were nice. Close to shopping & stores. The beach is a short walk but stairs up & down to get to the beach so taking a wagon there is a difficult option. Not having a fridge or restroom on the 1st floor near the pool was very annoying. Overall it was a very good place to stay for a large group & pet friendly.

Nice Property But...

Overall, we liked the house quite well. That said, we were frustrated by the cleanliness of the house at check-in. We understand the difficulties of cleaning beach houses on the transition day, but the inside cleaning of our house was unsatisfactory. Additionally, outside areas of the house (windows, pool and exterior furniture, outside shower stall) were very dirty and looked like they had not been cleaned yet this season. My family spent the first hour of our vacation cleaning. We promptly reported this to the property managers and to their credit, they took appropriate action to compensate us for the inconvenience. Here are a few other thoughts: - Bring plenty of soap and toilet paper (TP). The “arrival” bag at check-in contains one roll of TP and three “hotel” soap bars. - While the house is advertised to sleep 15, we would not recommend more than 13 unless there were several small children. The fold-out sofa bed in the recreation room is awful for anyone over the age of two to sleep on. - The grill is a serviceable, but rather small and rickety iron structure that is only suitable for small families otherwise you must cook the food in batches. - Having never stayed in Corolla before, we were unsure what to expect with this coastal rental. Due to the topography of the island, most of the homes had no view of the water. Therefore, a morning cup of coffee on our second-floor balcony was a visually boring view of adjacent homes.

Beach House 2023

It needs some updates to the kitchen. New fridge and floor. We needed to go get cleaning supplies and clean the kitchen floor and dust everything in the top floor living area. That was the only floor my wife and I used. Swimming pool was nice, it may have a leak we needed to add water every day to it. Walk to be beach was farther than we thought it was going to be. We used the public beach access down the road. It would be nice to have a fridge in the game room. Overall, it was a good two weeks.

Nice time

Overall we enjoyed our stay. House was a little dated but we knew that going in. Pictures were accurate except for the view. The trees have grown since the photos were takin so there is no ocean view which the on line pictures show. Interior was fairly clean but the exterior had beer cans, plastic cups and cigarette butts strewn about. I picked everything up which took about 5 minutes so I don’t know why the cleaners would ignore the obvious. No working ice maker in the lone refrigerator and no refrigerator on the first floor by the pool .

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall our stay was good. The house was spacious for us and we could tell there have been a couple updates to the furniture and cookware. The dishes looked new as well. I had to vacuum the living room area twice because of all the dog hair. The steps didn’t look like they had been vacuumed in awhile. The pool was a nice touch for the kids and adults to enjoy in the evenings. Neighborhood was quiet which was nice. The biggest complaint I have is that the pictures showed you can see the ocean from the deck. This is not correct, we were several blocks ( took us about 10 min to walk) from ocean and no views of ocean at all. We only could see other houses.

We really enjoyed the pool. when we arrived, the house didn't look like it was cleaned at all. The floors in the kitchen and the bathrooms looked like they haven't been cleaned in years. The area beside the refrigerator was covered in crumbs. There was something running down the kitchen trash can. The freezer was leaking which caused ice to build up in the bottom of the freezer and water was dripping into the fridge. The door/shelves in the fridge were disgusting. We had an any problem by the kitchen sink. The ants were crawling up the wall and onto the kitchen counters. We did not report anything to the rental company because we were told at check-in that the cleaning crew was short staffed. I did complete the checkout survey to report everything. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the house would prevent us from using this renting through this rental company.

Hidden gemstone!

The pictures do not do this place justice!! All updated furniture, amazing beds with soft padding. Ample room for our family of 4 and grandparents. We enjoyed every level of this home, the hot tub, pool, game room. Everything was perfect short 10 minute walk around beautiful lake with lots of wildlife to the beach.

Breezy Beach

The home is cozy. Good location with stores and grocery stores few minutes away by turning left or right out of the development. Home is in wooded development so you have shade somewhere most of the day. Beach is a 10 minute walk for door to toes in the sand/ water. There is a nice walk around the pond right by the home. Well kept private pool and hot tub.

Just what you need in Corolla

This property is exactly as advertised. Well distributed bedrooms on all 3 levels of the house. Pool is perfect size for a dip after the beach. Location is ideal, close to shops, walking distance to beach, in a lovely neighborhood. Property is not updated but just fine for what you need for a beach vacation.

Good value for families but with issues

The property is rented through an agency which made check in difficult (you have to pick up keys). Everything is quite old, no blankets (in addition to the linens you have to rent). Terrible mattresses, many of the appliances were old/ broken. Nice pool. 1/2 mile walk from the beach.

Not a great home for a family get away

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house seemed to have been equipped with all older dirty appliances and furnishings, it has been neglected. The microwave was disgusting inside, food under the couch, found dirty clothes under a mattress when putting in our own sheets.The pool area is unkept and unsafe, dirty lounge chairs, there was brown gross stuff on the plastic chairs, the screen door was laying on the ground next to the house. They took the ripped up couch out of the pool table room while we were staying and never replaced it. The first floor bedroom smells like urine. This was our first time to the OBX so we did not know what type of area and place to stay, we will be back loved everything about Corolla but will spend a little more on a house in a better area.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Home wasn’t very clean. Kitchen floor was awful. Cleaned up water with a paper towel and it was black from dirt. Bathroom floors were the same. The pictures on website are out of date apparently. No view whatsoever!! Not enough living room furniture. Shows a second couch in pictures. Pool was nice but had to put water in it. Water level was right at filter line. Good thing I know about pools or pump might have been ruined. Location was my faultIt was too far from our destinations.

Good property

The house was clean and everything worked. There were a lot of spiders around the property, especially in the screened-in patio, so some pest removal would be beneficial, but besides that everything was great
