Corolla Adventures justo afuera de tu puerta!

Bienvenido a nuestro escape de Corolla, una casa de playa bien equipada con todas las últimas comodidades que también se remonta a las primeras cabañas de playa, bordeadas por dentro con techos y paredes de enebro. Esta casa está decorada con buen gusto, equipada con toques hermosos y cuenta con divertidas comodidades costeras, como una piscina privada cerrada y bañera de hidromasaje. La cocina está bien equipada, y el arte en toda la casa rinde homenaje a las aves y la vida silvestre locales, que puedes ver durante todo el año justo afuera de las ventanas del lago. Toda la familia disfrutará de paseos en bicicleta y caminatas por los senderos naturales y caminos de esta comunidad tranquila.

A los niños les encantará el primer nivel de la casa, que cuenta con una sala de televisión propia y una mesa de billar (que se convierte fácilmente en ping-pong). Hasta seis niños pueden acomodarse en la habitación de nivel 1 y tener una habitación propia. Además, todos los huéspedes disfrutarán de bocadillos y bebidas en la cocina a pocos pasos de la terraza de la piscina.

En el segundo nivel, su familia puede reunirse alrededor de la gran mesa de la cocina y la barra de desayuno para comidas y entretenimiento. Justo al lado de la cocina se encuentra nuestra cómoda guarida, que cuenta con TV y estéreo con sonido envolvente. Sal a la terraza y disfruta de las impresionantes vistas al lago. Dos habitaciones (Queen y Doble) tienen baño propio.

Suba al tercer nivel para encontrar suites de dos dormitorios (King y Queen) y un acogedor rincón de lectura. El dormitorio principal cuenta con un amplio techo de catedral y luz natural. Justo al lado de la habitación, encontrarás la cubierta del tercer nivel donde puedes disfrutar del sol naciente sobre el Océano Atlántico.

Nice property

Loved the layout of the house. Nice size pool and surrounding area. We would stay there again. My only recommendation would be to replace the older TV’s with flat screens with HDMI capability.

Thanks, Sheila! That's actually on our list and we tried to do so in May but there were no more in stock at the local stores and we couldn't get them down there in time while we were prepping. Family vacation

The house was great! Access to the beach was a little challenging with younger kids but it was still a nice walk. Only downside was no broom or vacuum to keep the house tidy through the week and the 3rd floor got very warm at night as we couldn’t change the temp any lower than 70.

Beach House Stay

Overrall it was a nice house and fairly spacious for our group. The only thing we weren't happy about was the roaches in the grill and the hot tub was not working right. We enjoyed using the pool table and the ping pong table alot at our stay. The pool was great for the kids as well when we did get in.

What a great place to stay!

Came into this beautiful place right amid Florence scare. With the ocean waters too choppy to swim, we found plenty else to do in and around the house. Wonderful walks, lovely pool, and plenty of entertainment inside. Very quick bike ride (or moderate walk) to shops both North and South of community and a well groomed path safe from cars. Highly recommend!

Fun Fall get-away

We took advantage of the kids in 'virtual school' and enjoyed a week in Corolla. The home was clean, well-stocked, with room for everyone to spread out as needed. The internet connection and wifi was strong enough for all to do their online classes and work before heading out to the beach, walk around the lake, soak in pool/hot tub, etc. With easy access to grocery store for any needed items - we ate almost all our meals in. Was a wonderful stay!

The property was very nice and pretty clean. I would suggest getting window air conditioner units for the upstairs bedroom very hot up there. And they need some dish towels. Kitchen very well stocked.

Family Getaway

The owners were easy to communicate with, responsive and unobtrusive. The house is nice and set up nicely to accommodate a large group. It really needs a good thorough cleaning, though, including having the carpets shampooed and the beds/mattresses need to be updated. I would also have liked to have, at least, some of the basic accoutrements in the kitchen, such as salt and pepper. The hot tub is amazing and the pool was very nice and well maintained, but, much smaller than it appears in the pictures.

relaxing 4th of July week!

Beautiful location and accurately listed. The host was very communicative and responsive. There was a storm one evening and the next day a lot of debris was in the pool. I contacted her to see about cleaning it sooner and she had someone out there the same day. The layout of the house is perfect for a family with teens. We enjoyed using the kitchen to cook a few meals and had a good time walking to the nearby shops a few mornings. The beach is an easy 10 minute walk also and beautiful location. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable trip to OBX. Would recommend this property and give the host 5 stars.

Family Vacation

The house was very clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. The only disappointment was the pool area. The lounge chairs were a bit rickety and some cushions were missing and what cushions were there were worn and moldy in the creases. I honestly dont blame the home owners. I blame the maintenance team they have watching the house. I let homeowners know and they appreciated the info.

Great Layout, Owner needs to keep up on routine maintenance

The Property and layout of the home was great. Communication re issues that arose during our stay tainted our experience somewhat. Several individually minor issues, when looked at in total, suggest the owner and host need to pay more attention to the details. An example - two sinks were nearly plugged and took 10 plus minutes to drain very slowly. The same for one of the showers. Not sure how the cleaners could not notice the condition of the drains when cleaning the bathrooms.

First and last time to OBX.

The house was very dirty from the unorganized entrance to one bedroom had dirty used sheets and the bathroom had dirty towels and dirty rugs. I emailed manager right away and she apologized and ask if she could send someone to clean I had already washed sheets and towels and cleaned. A cleaning lady came 4 days into our stay and asked if we needed her to clean, a little late at that point. I don’t ever plan to rent another house for vacation, I will stick to hotels or condos.

This was a mistake by our cleaning staff. It's never happened before and we don't think it will ever happen again. We were not alerted to this issue until the day after checkin when the renters had already cleaned the missed room themselves. Our cleaning crew immediately went to the house offering to fix the issue. We always ask all renters to let us know if there is an issue upon arrival as we can always work to remedy the problem that same day without impacting vacations at all. We sincerely apologized for the issue and sent a gift letting them know how apogolgetic we were.

Perfect for our family of 8

We had a last minute cancellation with our original rental and this Corolla property was a godsend, saved our family vacation. I inquired about the property and the owner, Elysha, got back to me right away and was able to help me book it so quickly even though it was so last minute. She was completely understanding. The property was absolutely perfect for our family of 6 adults and 2 kids. Everyone had their own bathrooms and bedrooms. The pool was perfect for an everyday swim for our little ones and the kitchen was fully stocked for our family cooked meals. The house is also perfectly located right in the middle of Corolla, just off the main road but hidden from all the traffic. The beach is quite a walk and you have to carry all your beach gear up the stairs over the dunes. We solved that by having someone drop us off by car. But the beaches are not crowded and the water was warm and clear when we visited. I highly recommend staying at the Corolla escape. From the inviting house, to the central location and great communication from the owner, it was all outstanding.

Great Lake Views, Long Walk to Beach

I will start by saying that the view to the lake beautiful, especially from the third floor. There are many turtles in the lake and it’s a nice walk to enjoy. Upon arriving the first day, the 3rd floor was 88 degrees and there was no air circulating. I did contact the homeowner and she responded quickly and called the HVAC company who unfortunately did not arrive until Tuesday morning so we had to spend 3 whole days in sweating heat. They did however replace the system and from that moment on it was cool on the 3rd floor. The layout of the house isn’t the best for kids, as the bunk area is on the bottom floor of the home, with direct access to the outside and the pool area. It is specified that the pool is to be cleaned on Saturday and Wednesday but no one came on Wednesday, and there is no skimmer to remove any debris yourself. The TV on this floor did not work either so we didn’t use that sitting area at all. Midway through the week we did find a cockroach climbing the walls of the bottom floor, not sure where he came from. Now onto the second floor, or main area of the home, since the kitchen and living room are there. Unfortunately there are no blinds or curtains in the living area so it’s very difficult to watch tv when the sun is blazing into that room. I understand the beach homes are meant to enjoy the sun but a few blinds so you can control the light yourself would be beneficial. The windows throughout need updating also.

Plenty of Room but...

Overall we had a fantastic time. The pool and hot tub perfectly fit our family's needs. The house is set back at the end of the street so there are two neighbors but it is very secluded still. The hosts are great to communicate with. Some areas needed work. 1. The house was not very clean. Very dusty, you could tell the filter in the house had not been changed in a very long time. Lots of very large cobwebs inside the house. We were required to clean the countertops and tables, and vacuum before we unpacked. We all developed a cough that stopped once at home. 2. Ants Ants Ants, everywhere. There should be some continued services for this. 3. If you have a hard time with stairs, do not choose this property. Very steep stairs. 4. The AC in the Master was not working very well. It was by far the hottest room in the house. 5. All of the shower curtains are moldy. 6. The fire alarm kept going off at weird times. 7. The "short walk" to the beach was not at all. It was a long walk, especially with kids. Positives 1. Pool and Hot Tub were GREAT! 2. Washer and Dryer worked great too! 3. Pool table was fun. 4. All appliances worked well. 5. Lots of room in the house, comfort for the families. 6. Property owners are very responsive.

Our family really enjoyed everything about this home. The baby gates were an added bonus. The owner was very responsive to any of our questions. Plenty of room, nice layout. I would recommend staying here.

Not clean

Had to clean when we got there. There was a bag of goldfish a peach in the pullout couch in living room. The pool pump only worked for 5 minutes it needed to be taken apart cleaned and put back together. I messaged the owner 2 days before check in about the kids scooter and never got a reply. Wifi wasn't working 3 days later they fixed it. The garbage cans smelled so bad that was sitting by the door we almost threw up. Not a good experience at all.

Great family house.

Close to the beach and the pool and hot tub were great! We walked to shopping and restaurants nearby for exercise. The owners were very responsive!

Multi family trip to Outer Banks

Using the site and renting was very easy. Especially during the pandemic we really appreciated the flexibility to cancel with limited notice . It was a big decision factor in selecting a property.

Loved the Location!

This was our first visit to OBX. We loved the location and the lake views! The walk to the beach was not far, and we liked that we only saw one neighbor when sitting on the deck! We brought our dog, and when I vacuumed the carpet on Tues and Thurs, I noticed the carpet was dirtier than just from our dog. Not sure anyone vacuumed as well as I did. Also, the tiled floors were dirty and our socks were black after playing pool one night. I could save my cleaning fee and do a better job.
