The house is clean although the furnishing needs a refresh. The pool is a big hit. It's huge and saltwater. Patio furniture is plenty with umbrella but the backyard is nicely shaded by surrounding trees. The grill needs replacing though. The hot tub is also very nice. The wrap around decks on 2 levels are also very nice. The driveway is long which is very much appreciated as we had 5 cars. I also love the outdoor shower. It was very convenient to wash off the sand before jumping into the pool. The bedrooms were ok... comfortable. The air condition is very good and very needed during the heat wave. Overall, it was a good stay.

Best pool in OBX

Very clean. Amazing pool that was used more than the beach. Close to shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend.

Beach trip

Overall, the proximity to the beach is the best! Five minute walk. We were however disappointed with the cleanliness. Very buggy, lots of spiders, top of refrigerator full of bugs… Very outdated and needs an upgrade. There were two beach chairs that were both broken. Chairs on the deck broken. Would not stay here again.

Summer break kick off

We took our 4 children, and close family friends and their 2 children to OBX to kick start summer vacation! The pool was the selling point of this house, and it did not disappoint!! Loved the distance to the beach, about a 5 minute walk which was perfect for the little ones. The updated TV in the living room was awesome as well for the boys who wanted to play video games and watch sports at night. Overall, this is our favorite stay in OBX. Will definitely be booking for next year! See ya next year Crab Quarters!!

Perfect Pool and location

We loved our stay at Crab Quarters! The pool was amazing for all of the kids and wonderful break from the beach when needed. Very easy walking distance to the beach (maybe 5 mins tops) on a trex boardwalk. Loved the trees around the property that give it a private feel. Good kitchen working space. Plenty of deck space too! Could use a few updates to the TVs and would suggest replacing the wicker furniture with a nice pull out sofa/chairs. Would definitely look to return again!

We'll be back

We absolutely loved the property, location, and area. The house was beautiful and the pool was amazing. Everything was very clean and the hot tub was hot. It was just a short walk to the beach on a newer boardwalk. The house was in the perfect location for a short drive to food or shopping. We loved this property and are already looking to come back next summer

Great time!

This was our first time at the beach in a while and we had a great time. The weather was perfect and the house and location were great! The only complaint we had about the property is not having a gas grill. We will definitely stay in this house in the future again and will just rent a grill prior to the week (we tried to rent one and they were sold out). The pool was amazing and the house was very clean!!

Crab quarters review

House was better than pictures! Everything was clean and house was in a great location just 0.25 miles to the beach. Pool was huge! Bathroom by the pool came in handy. This was our first time going to OBX and would defiantly go back to this house again!

We would most definitely stay here again (this was out second year renting this house - first time in nine years of OBX trips where we stayed in the same house twice).

Needless to say, there was No disappointment! The pool is huge with great furniture for lounging! We spent most of our days there )even in the rain)! The outdoor restroom is another great bonus! The house was beautifully decorated & comfortable & plenty of room for 10 adults! the beach was about a 4 minute walk & at night you can sit on the balcony & hear the waves crashing. The only thing I can think of that might need some attention is the mattresses on the bunks! Also, the description says horseshoes, I never seen any, so we rented cornhole, it was delivered & picked up! I had a couple issues upon arriving to the house but they were taken care of with a quick call to Carolina Shores!

We're planning another visit next Fall. Access to a lot of restaurants and attractions, not to mention the always busy Food Lion (those 6 eating machines again) made the week one of the best family vacations ever, if not THE best.
