Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life at this peaceful 5-acre country estate. Nestled in the tranquil North Carolina countryside just 20 miles from Uptown Charlotte, The Shiloh Homestead offers an idyllic retreat to disconnect and recharge.

This four-bedroom, three-bathroom farmhouse is designed with comfort in mind. You'll find:

✓ - Privacy and quiet. This location is quiet, safe, and peaceful. The family we bought the house from hadn't locked their doors in 20 years. This is life as it was meant to be.

✓ - Fantastic outdoor spaces including a large patio with a flameless Blackstone grill (we love, love, love it!), and an oversized table and benches for outdoor meals. Just beyond the patio is an awesome fire pit (we're slightly proud of the fact we built it) which is perfect for storytelling and s'mores!

✓ - An awesome coffee bar which has a French press (it's delightfully large), Keurig machine, Mr. Coffee coffee maker, an assortment of teas, etc. Brew some coffee or tea and head out to the rocking chairs on the front porch early in the morning to catch a roaming herd of deer.

✓ - Comfortable and varied sleeping options. Each room has its own character and sleeping arrangements to fit your preference. Take a tour when you arrive and see which room you feel most at home in.

✓ - Plenty of great spaces to spread out, congregate, relax, read, or play games. The hallway closet has a LOT of games and puzzles. There is a collection of really great books on the shelves, too.

✓ - If you want to throw in some big city living, The Shiloh Homestead is close enough to catch a Panthers or Hornets game or a major concert less than 30 minutes away in Uptown Charlotte.

✓ - Located in NC Wedding Country - there are 10 wedding venues within 10 miles and almost 20 within 20 miles.

NOTE:
1. The house sits on the same property as a tiny house ("Little Shiloh") which operates as a separate VRBPO rental. Little Shiloh can be rented if additional space or privacy is needed. That listing can be found at: https://www.vrbo.com/en-sg/p4675731vb.

However, if you are not renting both properties, please respect the privacy of guests staying at the tiny house and do not approach that area, hang out on the hammocks, etc.


2. There is NO TV in the house. This property is designed to be a peaceful refuge where individuals, friends, and families can disconnect from busy lives and reconnect with loved ones or enjoy quiet solitude while catching up on the forgotten joys in life.

3. There is a train that runs just behind our property. Often it comes once a week. Sometimes it comes once a day. We love our erratic train very much. If you wave to the conductors they usually wave back which is pretty cool.

4. In the summertime, the upper level of the house is slightly warmer than the lower. In addition to the AC, there are electric fans in the closets and an old school attic fan in the upstairs hallway which help a lot.

5. For larger groups, if everyone takes a shower back-to-back in the morning, it is possible for the hot water to be temporarily exhausted. We have a Rinnai tankless hot water heater that heats water almost instantaneously, but give it 20-30 minutes and another large group should be able to shower.

6. The oven is on the smaller side. It probably won’t fit a 23 pound turkey, but may fit a 15 pound turkey.
