Olde Tahoe Charmer - Pet Friendly

Alojamiento en este encantador 'Old Tahoe' incluye una cocina grande y cómoda, comedor y sala de estar con una chimenea de madera roca ardiente de los grandes. Hay un dormitorio grande por las escaleras con una cama de matrimonio y un medio baño adjunto. En la parte superior de las escaleras hay una zona de estar abierta con una cama futón y un acogedor calentador eléctrico para las noches de invierno o de verano. Los otros dos dormitorios están arriba. La primera habitación de invitados es amplia y bien iluminada con las luces del cielo en el techo; se puede sentar en la cama doble y mirar hacia arriba en la noche de esquí Tahoe. El tercer dormitorio es un buen tamaño con dos camas de tamaño. La entrada principal está cubierto para que pueda descargar fácilmente al equipo después de un día en las pistas. Hay un amplio jardín bien cuidado que está totalmente cercada y está conectado a una bonita terraza soleada para relajarse y divertirse. También tiene una barbacoa de piedra al aire libre de encargo para el verano entretenido a la salida de la zona de cubierta. El camino es largo, así que hay un montón de aparcamiento. Llevar a la mascota a lo largo de buena manera también. Hay televisión por cable y Wifi, lavadora / secadora. Brought my elderly dog for a long weekend, picked location due to nearby beach and bike trail. It is an older cabin as noted with first floor wall heater and space heaters upstairs. Has necessary kitchenware and appliances. But a few things caught my attention that were so inexpensive to improve guest experience, I bought them myself. You’re welcome. There were 6 hangers total for 6-7 guests!

What an awesome stay in this cabin! Great location! Walking distance to the beach. Short drives to tons of activities (shops, restaurants, water sports). The backyard is soooooooo nice. The cabin itself is super charming, clean, and has plenty of room. Cant wait to go back!

Charm and a few challenges

My Lake Tahoe experience at the Alef's quaint cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall my experience staying at the Alefs quaint cabin in olde Tahoe charmer was unpleasant and fearful. Arriving to the cabin, the first night walking up the front steps you'll have loose rocks/ gravel which is a huge safety hazard for guest. Walking into the cabin you'll get a sniff of cigarette smoke. Fireplace was non-operable even after being told it was going to be fixed and ready for our stay which was a huge disappointment and poor communication.! Also the cabin had Very lil amenities. Coffee machine was missing basket to pour coffee grains in. The quality of furniture was very worn out!! No central heater upstairs, the small heaters they provided gave no heat till hours after. One of the Rooms had a tiny mirror which made it hard to get ready. Property's location was great. Beach within walking distance. Property was not cleaned, tub had black debris, Shower drainage was also clogged you couldn't shower longer than 5 minutes or else tub would fill up major. On my vacation instead of relaxing I went out of my way and poured Drano gel max but still no fix. property has a nice backyard, but it's was hard to enjoy when there's no patio light. Overall, I think this cabin needs a little bit of loving and caring.

Cute cottage

This is a charming place to stay while at Lake Tahoe. Location is convenient to restaurants and shopping and very close to the lake. I loved it for a weekend get away and would stay there again.

Our pups enjoyed the large backyard. Property was easy to find and close to town.Misses; cabin overall could use some T.L.C.The shower did not train properly and could use a good cleaning.Kitchen had ample dinnerware but could use some addition pots and pans baking sheets etc...Dining room table wobbled severely, should probably be repaired. Front entrance steps are crumbling and could use repair.Overall enjoyed our stay.

Nice cabin for small groups and dogs

We enjoyed our 4 day stay. Cabin is charming and somewhat rustic. Positives are a great backyard and porch for our dog, nice big fireplace (it was cold for August), comfy beds, and good layout. Cabin is a bit dated and dark, so could use some TLC. Would be even better with a better assortment of stemware and utensil's, but overall kitchen had all the amenities.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOUSE!! MOST UNHYGIENIC AND UNPROFESSIONAL HOUSE

Safety - backyard door lock is broken. It doesn’t look from inside. Main bathroom lock is also broken. Stairs are horrible to even walk. Heater only works in living room but no room has heater vent so its not at all livable situation for winter stays. 3 out of 4 Portable heaters stop working after some time. We couldn’t sleep at night at all because it was27 degrees Fahrenheit but heaters in the room were not working. We also didn’t feel safe at night since backyard door lock was broken from inside. This is a major major safety concern and should be taken seriously Towels are extremely dirty. Looks very much used and they are very rough. They are nowhere close to 6 months old. We don’t even feel like using them they are that old and stinky. This is major hygiene concern. How can a host provide unhygienic towels and vrbo allow it? Its beyond disgusting Bedding is very stinky as well. Pillow cases are extremely dirty and doesn’t look washed at all. Pillows are super old. Apart from this toiletries are missing. Body wash is missing. Shampoo conditioners are old. Diffuser in toilet, air fresheners are almost over so owner did not even bother to fill it up. Vrbo support is extremely useless helping with any of these issues. They basically didn’t even bother to raise a case and dismissed. Please don’t book this house or any house on Vrbo if you need good customer support

Wonderful pet friendly cabin

Wonderful cabin for family stay. We all loved the beautiful quiet backyard especially our pets. Having kitchen, laundry and a 2nd TV room (upstairs) was so convenient.

Great Location

We had a great long weekend at the cottage - the location was at the end of a street in a friendly neighborhood. The nearby Skylandia Park is within walking distance and it was a huge highlight.

stairs are a death-trap

Everything was great about the stairs, which are a death trap. They are waaayyy too steep. Some of the stairs move and tilt when you step on them. They are wrapped in old carpet, which is uneven. They tried to put a grip strip on top of the carpet and hammered it in with nails. The nails are uncomfortable to walk on. The grip strip pulled my sock half off, which then tripped me, and I fell. My kid refused to walk on them out of fear. So, there was no way that he could sleep in the bedrooms upstairs and then find his way to the toilet downstairs in the middle of the night. So, we had to take a mattress from upstairs and put it down in the living room for him to sleep on. Other than the stairs, the house was fine but I could not recommend this place and would not stay here again.

Quiet neighborhood, noisy house

The house was as described. The fireplace was amazing and very nice in the cold evenings and mornings. The yard was very green and the trees were lovely. The kitchen was adequately supplied with cooking essentials. Extra dish towels would have been nice, however. The biggest complaint, and it’s a big one…The interior of the house has NO sound barrier. It sounded like the floor was caving in when someone walked upstairs. And when someone came down the stairs it sounded even louder. And since there is no bathroom on the 2nd floor, any time someone had to come down during the night it woke the whole house. I’d stay there again but not with other people and 3 bedrooms is a lot for 2 people. So overall it was a good stay just way too loud!!
