Cottage in the hills with room for the whole family!

Enjoy our newly remodeled glam with an Alaskan flair home. Surrounded by birch forest complete with quaint sounds of rural Alaska including sled dogs in the distance. Take comfort with room for everyone as well as two additional rollaway beds. There is a large yard that is ideal for viewing Northern Lights. Our location in the hills experiences warmer temps and more privacy. Although we are conveniently located a short ten minutes from town, in the winter months it is best to have AWD/4X4.

The cottage was nice, roomy, relaxing and had everything we needed. We loved the wooded area. Bret was very nice and gave us good suggestions on restaurants. Unfortunately, attractions had closed for the season just days, in some cases the day before we arrived. But, you make your own fun!

Mountain View Retreat

Very nice house in good location for us. Each bedroom had a full bath to use and the house was really well stocked. Bret was very nice and communicative No complaints whatsoever. Would definitely stay there again!

We loved our stay at this exceptional cottage in North Fairbanks! The home is beautiful, spacious, functional and located in a desirable neighborhood. The furniture and beds are high quality and comfortable. The host supplies everything needed for an amazing stay including a well stocked kitchen. Communication is proactive and timely. It is clear the host wants guests to have a great experience. The home is our first choice if we are fortunate to visit Fairbanks again.

Alaskan Adventure: Fairbanks edition

The property was clean and well maintained. All in all it worked great as a landing spot for us to explore Fairbanks and the surrounding area. The beds were comfortable and the rollaway bed worked out great for an additional sleeping spot. The kitchen was not really stocked for any actual cooking and could benefit from a few additional items like a baking sheet or a measuring cup to measure water. We made it work and everything else was great!

Amazing home! Amazing location! Amazing hosts!

We can't say enough great things about the hosts and the home. We went with grandparents, us, our teenager daughter and everyone was extremely happy with the house! They had sleds for kids (or my husband!), woods for bonfires and all the wonderful amenities throughout the house. It was such a beautiful place to return to after our long day/night of activities around Fairbanks. The hosts were so accommodating and lovely, we all felt right at home. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back!

Modern amenities in the forest

What a beautifully furnished and decorated home! The owner has created a lovely little oasis. The home was warm, comfortable, and perfect for our 4 day stay. Plenty of parking space and they anticipated everything we might need.

Perfect cottage in Fairbanks

We came to see the lights and wilderness. The cottage is the perfect location for both. We saw a family of moose walking through the property the morning we arrived. We got a glimpse of the lights, but I’m sure we would have seen more if we had come later in the season. Denali National Park is a 2 hr drive and a must! The hosts were great at responding if we had questions, but the house has everything you need

Glam in the Woods

Staying at the "Gold Glam" Cottage really made our Aurora Borealis Hunting trip so much better. We really appreciated the comfortable beds. I especially liked the flat pillows with the puffy pillows. Bret was kind enough to bring over new batteries when the remote stopped working. He also suggested other places to see the lights and we did. Great suggestion and we saw then again. If u dont choose this space , you're missing out.out. to see the Lights. qorkicchoices.

Family time in Fairbanks visiting our son.

The house was perfect! Super clean, modern, with comfy beds. Do not freak out on the way there. It is in the wilderness. Yet, it only takes 15-20 minutes to get anywhere in town. We ate out or got Togo. The only meal cooked was breakfast and we had everything we needed. Brett is very helpful if you need anything and he’s right next door. We had a wonderful experience!

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our stay. It was beautifully appointed and had more than enough room for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Having three bathrooms all on one floor made everything so convenient, no juggling showers or waiting for space, which was a huge plus. The layout was spacious, comfortable, and made us feel right at home.Cleanliness is always a top priority for me when traveling, and this place exceeded expectations. The cabin was spotless from top to bottom, which gave us total peace of mind and let us relax right away.I also can’t say enough good things about Bret and Takenya. They were wonderful hosts! Always quick to respond, easy to communicate with, and so accommodating to our needs. Their hospitality really added to the experience.The location was great, too. It’s only about a 20-minute drive from downtown Fairbanks, so we were close to restaurants, shops, and anything we needed, yet far enough to enjoy the peace, quiet, and beautiful views surrounding the cabin. Waking up to that scenery every morning was such a treat.Overall, this cabin provided everything we could have asked for; space, comfort, cleanliness, and thoughtful hosts. We had an incredible experience and I’ll definitely be looking to rent this place again when I visit my sister next year (if it’s available, of course!).

A peaceful country home

We rented the property to visit my son. He’s been stationed in Korea for the past two years and we have not been able to see each other. When we learned his unit was participating in operation red flag, we booked a family trip to visit. We are outdoors people. We have been on fishing adventures all over the lower 48 so I knew I needed a home outside and away from town. This is it! It’s 5-miles from anywhere in town but it’s easy access to some of the best do-it yourself Arctic grayling fishing in Fairbanks. From the Chena River to points north along the Elliott Highway, this home provides the perfect base camp for easy fishing access! You don’t need to “rough” it either. This is a beautiful home and very spacious. It’s 3-bedrooms and 3-baths. No complaints at all! The hosts are very generous as well. We really enjoyed our time together and this home made it very memorable! We loved it!
