Welcome to Clinton Street Retreat!

This Vintage South Haven home has all the classic features you have been looking for: A HUGE living room with wood burning fireplace, French doors, a cozy sunroom, a formal dining room, winding ornate oak stairway, oak trim, and high ceilings. It has a screened-in front porch and sits on 2 full oversized lots near downtown South Haven and the South Beach

As soon as you enter, you will feel right at home. Whether it is the large kitchen, 1 of the 2 living rooms, The sunroom, which is the perfect -place for a morning cup of coffee, or an evening glass of wine, or maybe even one of the four large bedrooms. This is THE perfect place to stay in the beautiful town of South Haven.

There is room for 3 to 4 cars in the driveway. Plenty of street parking is available as well on a first come first serve basis

Located at 324 Clinton Street, you are just a few short blocks from everything. The sandy beaches of South Beach, the Kids Corner playground, the Town center where you will find all the nightlife, shopping, and restaurants, or even the new kid's splash pad and the Marina where they play live music throughout the summer

Family vacation

Our family enjoyed our stay in South Haven. The house was very spacious which made it possible for our extended family staying other places to all gather together. We appreciated the remodeled bathrooms. Would definitely stay here again.

Great time, spacious house by lake!

The house was everything we needed for a relaxing vacation by the lake. Close to downtown and close to the beaches, we could walk everywhere. Large living room, lots of spaces, old house charm! Quiet and very nice neighborhood. Very comfortable beds. Loved the veranda. Communication about property was great!

Long weekend getaway

Good location to beach, kids park and shopping/ restaurant strip.In need of working blinds in front room side window. Needs a window A/C unit in large master bedroom and full blinds instead or half blinds. Needs a whole house deep clean, under stand items and windows, not just a surface.BBQ grates needed cleaning and catch under tray was not assembled, was on the ground.

It was a lovely home; comfortable and spacious. There were some problems. Some air conditioning did not work well. My bedroom was perfect because I like a cold bedroom. Other bedrooms were hot. We wanted to use the grill for dinner one evening, but my son went out to prepare the grill and he found that the previous user had not turned off the grill and there was no gas available.

Family Fun

Spacious older home with lots of character, updated bathrooms. Easy walk to beach and town. It was extremely warm the week we were there. The house is challenging to cool. Be prepared if you have littles.

Memorial Day weekend

Outdated kitchen and 1/2 bath. Large rooms which were great for big families. No central air- no outdoor furniture , no wood for firepit. Several long blocks to beach and town, but we rented a golf cart which worked out great. No screen on upstairs window and screens on front porch were all torn up. House was very clean with enough towels and all the kitchen appliances and utensils you would need.

We recently stayed at this property and, while the location was great, the property itself was not in the condition we expected upon arrival and some of the furniture was old and uncomfortable. Dressers are very old and almost not functional (drawers don't all work, had stuff in them, etc.) The beds were pretty uncomfortable. That said, the rental company was responsive when we raised these concerns. They addressed the issues as best they could during our stay and also provided compensation for the inconvenience, which we appreciated. With some decluttering and updates, this property could be much more enjoyable for future guests. It is very spacious and can host a larger family or group.

Great location but not cool

We loved the location of the home in comparison to the beach and town. We were able to walk easily anywhere nearby. The only negative was the lack of cooling in the home. Yes, the ad does say window air units. But I assumed there would be more than 1 on each floor for such a large home. It was a very hot and humid weekend and the upstairs and kitchen were both saunas. The windows in the kitchen didn't have screens so we couldn't open them. Was very hard to cool off and sleep during the night. If you can't put window air conditioners in every room, then I highly recommend installing some ceiling fans to help with the heat and circulation. There is 1 ceiling fan in the same room as a window unit on the main floor. Otherwise, the house itself was charming and met all our needs for this weekend.
