Our family really enjoyed staying at this property! The location was extremely convenient for us to float the river and then we walked downtown for dinner. Beyond that, it was super clean and comfortable. River City Resorts also does a great job with their communication as far as what to expect for arrival and checkout and answered my questions quickly & politely. We’d choose this property again!

Decent but Disappointed

Overall clean and quiet stay. Nice to be right on/off the river. However, my reservation confirmation quoted two queen beds and one full bed. Our group showed up to three full beds. This greatly affected the dynamics and sleep quality of our stay. It was incredibly frustrating to not receive what was promised. Unfortunately, this lack of trust makes me hesitant to book with River City Resorts again.

Summer vacay - Floats and water slides!

Absolutely the best location. Right on the river and directly across from Schlitterbahn water park. 15 minute walk to the public access to the Comal River and it was just over a 2 hr float. It’s free during the week but $2 per person on weekend or holiday. Private river exit was great. We did 2 days at Schlitterbahn which was more than enough. Natural Bridge Caverns was great - about 30 minute drive. Charcoal grill was close to front door - bring a wire brush! Everything in the unit was great.

4th of July Get Away

Our stay was very relaxing and exactly what we needed. The condo was clean and had all of the appliances, dishes, grilling, and accessories we needed.

Great Stay

The property was perfect for floating, just what we needed. It is a first floor condo and we all heard upstairs people and noise, but they got quiet later in the evening. We would stay again and float!

Memorial Day Float

Great location. We were able to walk directly down stairs to hang around and a short trip over to Landing float launch with a private exit shortly before the public exit. Therefore being able to float the entire 3hrs before exiting. Definitely saved as a favorite. Condo was clean and well equipped with everything needed along with tubes to use if desired. Great experience!

A month on the Comal River

Simple stay but security ruins it

For the most part, the place is spacious enough for 6, I wouldn’t go as far as saying 8. Furniture, appliances, decor are aged/old but does fine for a weekend trip. The property security is what really made the trip not as enjoyable. They are more strict on this property than they are the river (and that’s saying something!) The folder you get has times when the pool closes. They are incorrect. We were kicked out of the pool because of it. Anytime our group visited the pool, there were at least 3 security guards circling around the small pool shining flashlights in your eyes telling you you have 17 minutes left before the pool closes and they’re off the clock. I mean seriously these security guards made sure every chance they could tell you to not do something because their shift was ending soon was a buzzkill. The place could use a bigger trashcan and the folder rules do not match the rules posted on the front door, so it’s very confusing come check out. The patio is pretty spacious, which was a plus, however the amount of illegal substances we would smell during the day and night (on the property) made it seem like the security guards were spending their energy in the wrong place. Overall if you’re looking for a weekend getaway and aren’t bothered by these things, go for it! It’s a great price and the river exit point is nice just a bit of a walk now with the new river rules and no shuttle provided for property guests.

We walk to the entrance and then at the end, we just hop up the ladder and we’re home. It really allows you to relax. Beautiful views and deer are seen from the first level patio. It’s our third year in a row and we hope to stay there again next year.

River Trip

Always a great place to stay. Right on the river for the grownups and right across the street for the kiddo’s. We stay here all of the time we go to New Braunfels.

Pool code was a mystery and seemed not to work. Great location for tubing. Children couldn't wear the ID tags as their wrists were too small and tags would fall off.
