Great stay!

My family and I had an awesome week here! The location was easy to get to the beach (though the closest beach access is quite small) and the pool was perfect, we swam everyday! Loved being able to bring our dog as well. Thanks for a great home away from home!

Where do I begin… the pics are just a tad bit misleading. Starting with shrubbery and bushes outside; hide the wildlife like snakes and such. And will tend to cut you leading to and from the pool.

The House location to everything is a plus the pool was nice and clean bedrooms very comfortable and chill nice kitchen but even though the GRASS wasn’t cut nor the bushes trimmed nice quiet neighborhood walking distance from the BEACH was cool my Family really enjoyed themselves. nice property!!!!

We really enjoyed the house and location. We walked a bit further up the beach to a more open area, but it was convenient and easy. The house is beautifully decorated and we enjoyed the pool. There are some maintenance issues that would factor in if we were to rent again- the windows and doors are in rough shape and we had some leaking in the master when it rained. There was also some leaking through the vent in the downstairs bath during rain. Overall, we did enjoy the house, but the outside probably needs a bit of updating. All things considered, we felt the house was a good value for the neighborhood and would consider renting here again!

The house, pool, and location were all very good. However, we had issues with the cleanliness of the floor, a bedspread, and small maintenance issues. The bedspread and the maintenance issues were taken care of by the management company. As to the floor, we purchased cleaning supplies and took care of it ourselves. One issue that could not be corrected was a screen porch that was listed in the description. There was no screen porch and this was a disappointment to us. The kitchen was well supplied and start up supplies were appreciated.

October 2019 Stay

We took a quick family trip to the beach and this home was exactly what we needed. Beautiful house, very clean, well equipped and we were even able to bring our pup. Loved that there were TVs in every room and several Rokus we could sign into. Kitchen was great, plenty of pots and pans and we especially loved all the empty cabinets and pantry for us to store groceries. Beds were very comfortable, we all slept very well. The pool and outdoor space were icing on the cake and it was so nice to take a dip after a hot day on the beach. Our only complaint (which is in no way the owners fault or something they could fix) was the beach access only had a small strip of public beach. The hotels on either side of the access have their beach area roped off. There are several public beaches with more room, they are just a little farther away. Just a tip for future renters to plan ahead if you want to have room to spread out on the beach.

Do NOT Rent This Property – Filthy, Unsafe, and Full of LiesOur family was so excited to vacation in Destin, Florida with 10 other families who also booked homes through VRBO. What should have been a magical week turned into one of the worst vacation experiences of our lives. And we paid a premium, expecting quality and peace of mind. What we got was complete chaos, deception, and zero accountability.Here’s just a fraction of what went wrong:•The home was disgusting upon arrival. The pool was filthy. The yard was overgrown and filled with dog feces. The gazebo had trash in it. The whole exterior looked like it hadn’t been maintained in months.•Inside was even worse. The beds were dirty. One trundle bed had six layers of sheets stacked on it—each one more stained and filthy than the last. The furniture was not as pictured. The couches were smaller and cheaper, and the kitchen table was missing the bench seat shown in the listing, only offering 4 chairs.•The listing advertised a screened-in porch. That was a complete lie. There was no screened-in porch anywhere on the property. We felt misled and scammed from the moment we arrived.Staff behavior and disregard for safety was outrageous:•The pool guy literally kicked our belongings around the backyard as he “cleaned,” and when he noticed I was watching, he rolled his eyes and continued. Great Place

We enjoyed the private pool since we had 5 kids with us. Neighborhood was quiet, close to beach, shopping, and restaurants. Property manager was easy to contact and very responsive.

The property was very run down. The reality of the property does not match the pictures. The backyard landscaping was over grown and when the lawn people came they blew dirt and grass all in the pool. The pool toys that were there had black mold all over them. The outdoor shower had very low water pressure. The concrete needs power washed and is just dirty. The inside of the house has dirty floors, the toilet upstairs leaked through the ceiling into the laundry room which has a hole in the ceiling. The can lights in the kitchen did not work. We loved the quiet location and neighborhood but the house just did not live up to the pictures. They also didn’t even have a broom in the house to sweep the floors throughout the week.

This beach house was a perfect get away for my group of girl friends and I! When we weren’t enjoying the beach, we were hanging out by the pool. I would definitely go back!!

Pictures of the house are not accurate!

The home looked really nice online, but when we arrived it was dirty the sheets on the bed looked like they weren’t changed we found hair and stains. The master bathroom also was awful hair in the shower walls, the water wouldn’t go down as quick. Not worth the money you pay. House very old! I called the manger and they didn’t want to refund our money instead they sent somebody to clean again but it looks like they just changed the sheets.

Great location

This house was very close to the beach and other attractions. The place was very spacious. This is an older home so it had that old smell and could have been a little cleaner. We have a baby that crawls so we bought a swifter at Walmart when we arrived to clean the floors and it was pretty dirty. Overall we had a good stay.

Overall nice stay

This property is clean, cozy and good location to beaches. However, it does not come with any essentials. No toilet paper, no beach towels, no beach chairs, no dishwasher detergent, no hand soap. Just be prepared to buy all of those things upon landing. Also, a pool person randomly comes to clean and manage the pool without any type of warning. Overall was a nice house with a nice pool.

Great house

We loved the house and the location. The fenced backyard was great for my little dog and the pool was clean and wonderful. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook, and it also had a coffee maker AND a Keurig. Perk for the coffee lover. Only 2 downsides of the house for us, but not deal breakers...One of the bedrooms had 4 twin size beds (a bunk bed with a pull out trundle and one single twin) that are really only suitable for kids. Bring your own blankets too! And the dining table is in the center of the kitchen which makes maneuvering around the kitchen a little tight. Other than those 2 things, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great home

The house was perfect for me, my husband and two boys. The pool was perfect and clean. Great location. Would definitely stay there again. Our trip was cut extremely short due to Hurricane Sally coming through. We left four days before our check out. Can’t wait to go back. Not during hurricane season.

Beautiful home. Very clean and updated. Great location in beautiful area and close to the beach. Staff responded very quickly to a couple of questions that I had and very polite. Hope to stay here again on our return trip to Destin.

Our family had a great time in this property. The house does need some “keep up” as the windows, some of the netting on the porch and the master bedroom leaks from the outside when it rain, the gas grill has seen better days - but overall we had a great time. The kids loved the pool. When maintenance was called to help, they were quick to respond.

The home was very comfortable and clean. We wish the weather was a little warmer so we could have used the nice pool. It was nice to have a dog friendly place that was so comfortable. Over all we had a great time.

We rented the Serene Oasis for a few weeks. Our daughter, and family, live in Niceville. That’s ten minutes from Destin. They stayed with us throughout the time we were there. The house was perfect size and there was great access to the beach as well. We spent hours in the back-yard pool, it kept us all busy, day and night. The screened in front porch on the west side of the house was perfect for morning coffee and the pool on the east side was great for sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. Lisa, with Saltwater Vacations, was the best! I had a problem getting the upstairs television working and she talked me through getting it going. We had a great stay and will use Saltwater Vacations again.
