¡Hemos amado a Kana’i A Nalu desde que nuestro padre compró este condominio en 1987!

Kana'i A Nalu significa "suave oleaje, pero lo llamamos 'el paraíso de papá. Kana'i A Nalu es un hermoso complejo frente al mar ubicado en el tramo de cuatro millas de la playa de azúcar en Ma'alaea Bay. Nuestro apartamento está situado en el segundo piso con preciosas vistas desde la terraza de los jardines tropicales, la piscina, el océano y el amanecer en Haleakala, la 'Casa del Sol', el volcán inactivo más de Maui. Durante los meses de invierno, cuando las ballenas jorobadas están en la bahía, la terraza puede convertirse en su residencia a tiempo completo.

La zona del jardín tropical central tiene una piscina climatizada con energía solar, una gran área de césped y dos parrillas para que todos disfruten. En la tarde, la zona de barbacoa es el lugar para estar!

Kana'i A Nalu hace un llamamiento a aquellos que no quieren tener que caminar a través de un vestíbulo congestionado o través de una calle muy transitada para llegar a la piscina o en la playa. Nuestros huéspedes pueden ir fácilmente de nuestro condominio a la playa y regresar en un par de minutos.

Nuestro apartamento está totalmente equipada con utensilios de cocina, ropa de cama, un lavavajillas y una lavadora / secadora. También tenemos una buena colección de toallas de playa, equipo de snorkeling, juguetes de arena y tablas de surf para que uses en la playa.

El dormitorio principal tiene una cama king-size con un baño conectado, mientras que el segundo dormitorio tiene dos camas individuales y un baño completo en el pasillo adyacente.
Hemos hecho algunas mejoras preciosas a los condominios en los últimos años, con pisos de baldosas en la sala de estar y cocina, encimeras de granito principal en la cocina y los dos baños, y con televisores de alta definición en la sala de estar / comedor y el dormitorio principal. Nos encanta el estilo tropical relajado en la isla, y que el estilo se refleja en nuestro condominio.

Cuando el clima se presenta ampollas caliente en otras partes de la isla, brisas constantes de Ma'alaea Bay mantienen el aire cómodo en nuestro complejo. En el interior del condominio, cada habitación tiene un ventilador de techo para proporcionar comodidad, incluyendo los baños. Los silenciosos acondicionadores de aire Fujitsu se encuentran en la sala de estar y en el dormitorio principal.
Justo al otro lado de la bahía es la ciudad de Kihei; sobresaliendo por encima es de Haleakala, elev. 10.023. Los amaneceres sobre su cumbre se pueden ver desde la terraza, ¡y son impresionantes!

Nuestro apartamento está situado en la isla y se encuentra entre Wailea y Lahaina. Se encuentra aproximadamente a 9 millas del aeropuerto de Kahului.

Cada condominio en el complejo es único, y que realmente no puede ir mal en cualquier lugar de la propiedad! No se oye ningún comparaciones o desaires sobre los otros apartamentos en este perfil, porque nos encanta Kana'i A Nalu!

We had a wonderful stay - this was the most well-equipped condo we’ve ever rented! Everything you could think of was right there. We enjoyed the local ocean and restaurants (a big thank you to Terri for the great recommendations!).The owner was the best - we want to thank her again for everything. She generously allowed us a late checkout since we had a late flight, and we’re especially grateful for her support during the tsunami alert. Terri was the first to inform us and provided clear guidance on where to go and what to do.We are so thankful. If we ever return to Hawaii, this is definitely the place we’d love to stay again. Highly recommended - you won’t be disappointed!

Just a perfect place

My wife and I have stayed in Maui probably close to 20 times in the last 30 years. From luxury accomadations in Wailea to my parents spare bedroom in Pukalani and everything in between. This place by far has been the best place we have ever stayed. Being able to take daily morning walks on a basically empty beautiful beach each morning was worth the whole price. Everything else was just icing on the cake.The bed is soooooo comfortable. The living room furniture will challenge you to not take a nap...so nice. Kitchen is perfect size. Both bathrooms are incredible.Grounds are immaculate, residents are beyond friendly, pool is so clean, views are perfect. Great food at Seascape.Every single thing worked perfectly and all information, for everything, was so easy. This place is perfect, clean, home feeling and Terri is such a great person to work with. A lot of people always say "we'll be back", we will definitely come back here, I wont even look anywhere else.Also location is so perfect. 25 mins to Lahaina, 25 mins to Wailea, 15 mins to Kahului. Thank you so much Terri!!!!

Beautiful condominium in a beautiful location!

This was the perfect place for my wife, my sister, and I to stay for a week in Maui. The property is spacious and had just about every possible amenity that we could have asked for. The beds were very comfortable, and the deck overlooking the pool and ocean was terrific. The location is excellent for going to all the things that you might want to do on Maui. Also, a very nice beach park literally just a few steps away from the property. The owner was wonderful and responded to every question we had. You can’t go wrong if you decide to stay here. I hope we’ll be able to come back soon.

Great stay overall

Overall, not much more to add to the other glowing reviews. The condo was great, fully stocked, with a wonderful view of the ocean from the lanai. Parking was easy, the pool was clean and warm, and the complex was in great condition overall. Another bonus was that the beds were quite comfortable.I should also add that Terri is such a thoughtful and communicative host. You can tell how passionate she is about doing what she does - it comes through in so many details, big and small.A minor heads up is that the beach a short walk from the condo is just ok - it's a nice place to sit with some trees for shade, but the water wasn't the best for swimming (at least in February) due to rocks and lack of visibility. That said, the condo is an easy drive to some other local beaches.

Lovely, well equipped condo

This is the nicest vrbo/vacation rental that we have stayed at in 40 years. The unit is beautiful and stocked with everything you could want to enjoy a tropical vacation. Terri is super communicative and helpful. The location is in a quiet bit of beach close to shopping and restaurants. We saw whales from the balcony!

Better than 5-star Stay

Perfect is the right word- the location, the accommodations, the owner. The condo is located close to everything, but in a calm, relaxing location just a 2-minute walk to the beach. The condo is very comfortable, and well stocked, with everything to cook meals and the grill to cookout by the pool, and the balcony to watch the waves roll in and the sun come up with a nice cup of coffee. Having the twin beds is great, so that both my kids had their own sleeping location. Terri (the owner) is very welcoming and so helpful. Her welcome packet had great island info, and she has truly prepped the condo with everything you need for a great vacation. Highly recommend, and hope that she will allow us the opportunity to stay again in the future. Mahalo!

Wonderful!!!

This condo is amazing!!!! It’s in a great location, wonderfully stocked and the hosts were amazing to work with!! The mornings on the balcony drinking coffee and watching whales started the days off right and the evening walks on the nearby beach or the kids swimming in the pool was the perfect ending each evening! We would definitely stay here again!!!

Perfect stay

We were thrilled with the location, the view and the amenities. Truly all we needed was inside this condo. Communication with the owner was easy and we didn't need anything during our stay. The best surprise was how close the beach was to walk to which we did almost every day rather than drive around the island. For a few of our nights were were unlucky with a few loud renters from other suites but not after dark. We will absolutely look up this suite when we come back to the island next! Mahalo!

Perfect for our family

We stayed here for 9 nights and couldn’t be happier! This place was perfect for our family of 4. The condo is beautiful, clean, and had all of the amenities we needed. The property is quiet, well cared for, and adjacent to a great beach. The view from the lanai is beautiful. Having beach chairs, towels, and boogie boards available made it easy to have a great time! The owner, Terri, is attentive and conscientious. She seemed truly concerned with making sure our needs were met. I highly recommend this lovely place for your stay on Maui!

Nice condo with delightful owners

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely condo in Maalaea. It is in a quiet area of the island, but close to the Maalaea Harbor that has shops and many excursion options that take off from there. It is a convenient and close walk to the harbor from the condo. We were lucky to have the owners of the condo on the property during our stay. It was so nice to meet them and have a personal connection. We can see why that place is special to their family. Mahalo! The Smith Family

We will be back!

Kanai a Nalu has been our favourite accommodation for many years. The ocean views and whale watching from the lanai as well as the ease of access to the pool, beach, bbq's made it the perfect location to bring the whole family. This particular unit is well furnished, has updated air conditioning, and is located a short distance from the elevator. We will be back!

All as described and more

We had an amazing experience staying here and Terri was great at communicating and resolving any issues. There are many extras included in this home that make your vacation much more enjoyable. Everything you need to go to the beach: chairs, umbrella, coolers, snorkel gear, hats, etc. There was plenty of laundry supplies and dishwasher packets. If you like to cook, it has everything you need. I would highly recommend staying here. The beach is an easy walk. The area is very quiet compared to other resort areas on the island. The street is a dead end that ends at the beach.

Best vacation

Terri was an amazing host and communicated with us the whole way and went over and above with all the amenities and extras! The location was perfect for our first visit as it was central to everything! There is easy access to the beach and the condo has all the equipment you need for the beach! The only thing I would suggest is there could be a few more hooks or places to hang up wet clothes but that is the case for every accommodation that we have been to. Thank you to Terri at Dad's place, truly a magical vacation with my teenager and senior dad! Mahalo!

We knew we were in for a great week from our first conversation with our host (Terri) The place was so clean and stocked with everything we needed to have a good time. Perfect location, everything we wanted to do was approximately 20 minutes or less in every direction. General Store within walking distance with a great little cafe for coffee in the morning. The breeze coming off the ocean was great, we never had to use the AC. Great snorkeling right off the beach behind the unit. We saw lots of fish and a few sea turtles. We had a great time and highly recommend Terri’s Dad’s Place. We hope to come back in the not so distant future ! Mahalo

Dad’s paradise is just that!

Excellent condo and location. Everything for this condo is accurately stated in the write up and photos. We enjoyed the balcony and seating for 4, the sun is bright and too hot between 6:30 and 11, but all other times was perfect with nice view of property, ocean and Haleakala! Excellent boogie boarding right out front, surfers farther down towards marina, and snorkeling out front when calmer. People around island get excited seeing turtles, there’s turtles all around here. We snorkeled within a few feet of 3 turtles for 30 minutes watching them eat on a reef right in front our first day. The water was cloudy but was better actually than two beaches in wailea. Beach is small right in front (waves with cover mist of it) but the large beach is about 100 yards down or can sit on grass above the beach. Very private with only few people on beach. We either were only ones in water or on sand, or maybe 10 others tops. BBQ’s are big and good enough for 4 people cooking at a time. Pool is small and basic. Grounds are simple but very clean and well kept up. There’s definitely many fancier and newer properties with more amenities. But for this price range, it was perfect for us for a mix of staying put all day and other days exploring the island.

This is the thirteenth year that we have managed dad's beloved condo on Maui.
Sadly, we lost our dear dad May 2020.
Our dad was a veterinarian, and at one time in our lives we had 3 cats, 2 dogs, 4 tortoises, and a beehive in the backyard. We now have families of our own, which, of course, include our beloved pets!
Our families live in Davis, Sacramento and Rocklin, California.

One of the reasons that dad was drawn to Kana‘i a Nalu and the Ma‘alaea Village area was that it was on a dead-end street. He loved the quiet slow-paced atmosphere of the area, yet he also loved that he could walk to the harbor, to dinner or to the aquarium. The condo backs up to undeveloped fields and faces the ocean, giving it a secluded feeling while still being close to Ma‘alaea Village amenities.

When the weather is blistering hot on other parts of the island, Ma‘alaea Bay’s consistent breezes keep the air comfortable.

Also, if you want to explore the island, Kana‘i a Nalu's central location on the isthmus makes visiting other parts of Maui ideal.

One of our favorite things to do while at Kana‘i a Nalu is to use the grill in the garden area. The welcoming atmosphere has allowed us to meet guests from all over the country and abroad too (there are often visitors from Alaska and Canada in the winter months). Another unique feature about Kana‘i a Nalu is the undeveloped three-mile stretch of Sugar Beach, which passes only sand dunes and a nature preserve before the condos in Kihei. It makes for a relaxing sunrise walk. Additionally, our fully equipped kitchen gives you the option to cook some of your meals at home, letting you save money for other island attractions. Maui has a Costco and numerous other grocery stores within a 15-minute drive.
