De plus, ce qui est très rare à Paris il offre un petit balcon-terrasse avec vue dégagée où s'installer dès que le beau temps arrive!

Great neighborhood of very walkable businesses. Right across the street from a grocery store and excellent gluten-free bakery, not far from multiple Metro stations. Although the neighborhood is busy during the day, it was very peaceful after a certain hour in the evening; no one had issues falling asleep. The host was very reachable and let us stow our baggage early before we explored the city. Very cute flat with plenty of space for the three adults who stayed there. Wonderful little balcony space. It definately is a hike up those 5 flights of stairs, but not an insurmountable thing to overcome if you are stopping by only a few times a day.

This apartment was beautiful and perfect for our stay (two adults and two teens). Lovely original tiles and ceilingwork with modern decor and a balcony too - bright, airy and cool. Only a couple blocks from the Metro and right in the heart of many shops and cafes, with a fresh market one block away. Philippe was a super responsive host, and neighbors were friendly too. Climbing to 5th floor (no elevator) made us feel more Parisian!

A great apartment in excellent area.

6th floor walk-up on excellent walkable street with grocery store, bakery, fruit market, cafes and bars. Loved the terrace!

Wonderful, walkable flat in the 11th.

Very clean, functional apartment in the heart of the 11th. Beds were super comfortable, with lovely pillows and high quality sheets. Lovely balcony where we had coffee and croissants. The apartment is on the 5th floor (no elevator), with 2 flights of stairs in between floors. Take your time; it is manageable. We were in Paris for 5 days and walked everywhere it took the Metro everywhere. Very easy to get around. Phillipe was a wonderful host - responsive, easy to communicate with, helpful with transportation and other accommodations. We stayed here because a friend had stayed here and recommended it to us. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved the neighborhood

We had a great stay at Phillipe's flat. The neighborhood was awesome--quiet and with amenities including a green grocer, butcher, grocery store, bars, and restaurants close by.The flat itself was inviting. We found the beds comfortable and the shower was hot with nice water pressure--unusual in a multi-story building. Phillipe was an excellent host. He communicated early and recommended great local establishments. We arrived early and were able to leave our luggage while we went out to explore Paris. Overall, an excellent stay!

Perfect place

Beautiful place in a great neighborhood. Two adults and a teenager, this place was perfect. It’s a fun, vibrant area but so quiet inside.Loved sitting out on terrace and morning walks.There is a 5 story walk up, may be hard for some.Highly recommend!

Wonderful Parisian Area

My husband and I stayed here for a week and it was just the experience we were looking for! Parisian neighborhood, less touristy, beautiful view, near markets and cafes, and still within walking distance to Notre Dame where we caught the bus each day. Pierre was easy to communicate with, and accommodated us as we arrived early. We look forward to staying again!

Classic Paris

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's close to several metro lines, grocery stores, bakeries, and restaurants. The building and appartement are old and classic Paris, which is very charming. It is a 5th floor walk up, but you'll leave your vacation with strong legs :-)We would definitely stay here again!

Oberkampf neighborhood

The apartment was wonderful. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was stocked and plenty of hot water for showers. Would definitely stay again.

Neighborhood Gem

This apartment in the 11th was a great neighborhood spot for experiencing Paris. Great natural wine bar/cafe, cheese shop, bakeries, butcher, grocery and metro stops all steps away. The wine bar/cafe downstairs was a particularly great find with great food and wine and friendly service. For the VRBO, Phillipe was very accessible, helpful, and nice, which made our stay all the more pleasant. The apartment itself has great light, comes well equipped, and very comfortable.

Excellent Oberkampf Flat

The flat is comfortable and in a very good location, with two or three Metro stops close by. The area teems with shops and cafes. I give host Philippe high marks for responsiveness and ease to deal with. Note, as other reviewers do, that the flat is on the fifth floor (which is actually floor six for Americans). One small point--the listing mentions a washer and drier. There isn't a drier, but a collapsible metal rack for drying. That suffices, however.

Excellent!

This flat was the perfect place for our first visit to Paris. Philippe was an exceptional host and was able to answer any questions and provided advice to wonderful, local shops. We enjoy walking and found most attractions quite easy to walk to. If you want a true Parisian neighborhood experience, this is the place to stay. Highly recommend!!

A gem within a gorgeous community

Phillipe communicated with us in a detailed way so we never felt a moment of worry about the check in or details of the property. The home was lovely for our group of four with comfortable beds and living space. The neighborhood is vibrant with excellent food steps from the front door. We cannot wait to visit again.

Charming Apartment in a Great Neighborhood

We had a wonderful stay at Phillipe's place. The location was ideal—away from the overly crowded areas but still lively and close to public transportation, making it easy to get anywhere we needed to go. The neighborhood was fantastic, with multiple grocery stores nearby and a wine shop, fromagerie, and bakery right downstairs. We especially loved relaxing on the balcony and enjoying the view. The apartment itself was charming and had a lived-in feel, equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Phillipe was an excellent host—he met us for an early check-in and made sure we had all the information we needed. A couple of things to keep in mind: be ready for quite a few stairs to get up to the apartment and note that the door takes a little bit of effort to unlock, but we got the hang of it quickly. Overall, this was a fantastic home base for exploring Paris for the first time. I hope to return one day and would absolutely stay here again.

Great Location/ Stay

Philippe was a great host. Very communicative & gave us plenty of suggestions on places to try around the area. The location was great, neighborhood feel close to trains and a lot of restaurants & shopping within walking distance. The square on the corner has a large farmers market during the week. Five flights of stairs was a bit rough with luggage. Having the nice balcony with view over the street was really nice. Beds were comfortable and it was just enough space for two couples. It had character and was clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Tolle Lage!

Die Kommunikation mit Philippe war super! Sehr hilfsbereit und geduldig hat er umgehend unsere Fragen beantwortet. Der Check-In verlief total easy mittels Schlüsselsafe und Code. Das Appartment ist kleiner als es auf den Fotos scheint, es gab wenig Abstellfläche und somit schwierig, die eigenen Sachen unterzubringen (4 Pers. / 5 Tage). Es war sauber, die Küche und Bad/WC allerdings sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Lage war perfekt! Es gibt Unmengen von Restaurants, Bäckereien, Metzger und vieles mehr! Am Freitag gibt es gleich um’s Eck einen Lebensmittelmarkt. Die U-Bahn Station war auch nicht weit.

Pleasant stay in nice vicinity

Phillipe was super communicative and help as host. The apartment was as described set in a very ornate art nouveau building. Stairs to 5th floor difficult with large suitcases and bar below can be a bit noisy. Surrounding shops for food are great and plenty of nice cafes nearby. We would stay again with our 10 year old.

Would recommend

Clean and in a great location. Don’t remember noting it was on a fifth floor walk up. Also the TV didn’t work (during football tournaments - which would have been important to know) but host was great in communicating and very responsive.

Ideal Location
