A charming home built in 1872, The Laughing Boar is nestled in the heart of the downtown Hermann Historic District. Come home to 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms (3 Full & 2 Half), and a loft area. Accommodating up to 11 guests. The Laughing Boar is walking distance from the Amtrak Station, along with an easy stroll to the best local shops, museums, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, wineries, and nightlife. The Boar looks forward to hosting you!
*The Laughing Boar is under new ownership! The entire house has been extensively cleaned, new bed linens and towels, a full refresh completed in Fall 2024.

We loved our stay here! We were within minutes of walking to most things we did. There was plenty of room for a large group. We enjoyed the fun rooms and all the bathrooms.

We had a great stay at the Boar House. House was lovely as described. Easy walking distance to many activities. Would stay at again.

Great location and very cute home! Upstairs sheets smelt funny/not fresh. Tin roof in the room with king size bed was loud at night when wind blew and debris from the tree hit it. Host was very responsive! Would recommend.

This was the perfect spot for our our group of 30-somethings celebrating our dear friends bachelorette. The house was beautiful and spacious -- you can tell a lot of thought and care went into each room. Trolley picked us up right outside to hit the vineyards and everything was a quick stroll. Easy to walk and grab coffee in the morning and right around from the piano bar which was a hoot! We would have loved to spend time on the back deck, but we happened to pick the hottest weekend of the year so far. Overall, we had a wonderful stay in Herman and will definitely be back! (P.S. Where did the wallpaper come from throughout the house? I'm obsessed!)

This house is group for groups who need separate rooms and bathrooms. The house is beautiful and eclectic and great location close to downtown food, shops, coffee, wineries, etc.

Awesome family wedding house

We were able to have family stay with us and additional family was housed in 2 other homes just a block away, all here for a wedding. Shopping and restaurants were an easy walk. Very enjoyable Memorial Day weekend!

Girls Trip

We had a great stay with 8 women, and the location was perfect! It was very walkable to restaurants and shops, which made exploring the area so convenient. The home was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. However, I wouldn't recommend staying here with more than 8-10 adults. While it’s listed as sleeping 11, that might feel a bit crowded for all adults. Overall, it was a lovely spot for our group and we enjoyed our time here! We would absolutely stay here again.

The Laughing Boar- Perfect for the Occasion

Celebrated my wife's birthday by visiting Hermann, MO for the weekend. The home was perfect for our group ( 6 adults, 2 toddlers). We loved the location, charm, and accommodations the home offered. Ample bedrooms and bathrooms. Back patio was a nice touch for hanging out in the mornings and evenings. Location was perfect for visiting all of the shops and restaurants in town. Great host and made the entire process a breeze. Highly recommend and will be coming back!

Great for gathering and very walkable

The Laughing Boar provided everything our group of 8 needed. The dining room table was where we spent most of our time in the house. Both the dining room and living room had great space for laughing and catching up. This place is very well located for walking to everything in Hermann city. Parking is on the street with a couple places in the back. We had five cars and no parking issues. Cassie was great and easy to comminicate with. Great weekend.

Perfect girls trip

I booked this trip for 10 girls to celebrate a 50th birthday party the weekend of January 4th/5th, 2020. We took the Amtrak from St. Louis, which was relaxing. The Trolley picked us up at the station, which was so convenient. Crystal, the property owner was very helpful with trip planning. She was always quick to respond to my questions. She gave wonderful suggestions of places to visit. Her home was adorable, beds were comfortable. The 4 bathrooms is a big plus for 10 ladies. The trolley dropped us off at the end of the long day at Wings a Blazin, which was only a short block (2 min walk) to the property. The trolley picked us up at 10:00 Sunday morning and took us to the Wursthaus for breakfast which was basically a block (2-3 min walk) to the Amtrak. We could have walked to the Amtrak from the house; but the Trolley was willing to pick up so we went that route. We will definitely be back. Stef

Everything about our stay at the Laughing boar was perfect .The decor was creative and quaint, The amenities were abundant. And the location was perfectly convenient to shopping and dining. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Hermann is a perfect getaway for our group to to relax, enjoy time together and forget about life in the fast lane.

Amazing Wine Weekend

Our friend group has been visiting Hermann, Mo for 10+ years and love every minute of it! The Laughing Boar Guesthouse is the perfect place to make lots of memories with friends and family! The location of the house is perfect and all the art and decor make the stay so fun! We will be back!
