A bold, design-forward room with a queen bed, blue accent wall, sliding barn doors that open to the main living area, blackout curtains, smart TV, and a dedicated bathroom located directly across the hall, just steps from the bedroom door.

The Obsidian Room
A darker, moodier space with a black accent wall, blackout curtains, a gold-painted open closet with black shelving, striking artwork, and an attached 3/4 bath that complements the room’s bold, elevated style.

Living Space:

The home features an open-concept layout with a comfortable sofa, dining table, bar area, smart TV, surround sound, and a fully stocked kitchen that works well for relaxing, gathering, or an easy night in.

Remote Work Friendly:

Need to get some work done while you’re here? This home is a great fit for remote workers who want privacy, comfort, and a space that feels good to spend time in. The open layout makes it easy to spread out and work comfortably, and additional display monitors and connection options are available for guests who need a more functional setup.

Seasonal Comfort:

The home is set up for warm-weather comfort with oscillating evaporative coolers in each bedroom. The Obsidian Room also has a strong ceiling fan and screen door access to the backyard for added airflow. An additional portable A/C unit is available upon request. On cooler days, the home has central heat to keep things cozy.

The location near Garden of the Gods and so many other places of interest made this a nice place to stay. Didn’t get to try the hot tub because it was raining during our stay but still a lovely place.

Oasis in the Springs

This is an exceptionally beautiful and well maintained and appointed property. There was a minor issue and the owner was immediately responsive to resolve it. Highly recommend this property!

Wonderful stay!!

First of all, Celia is one of the very best hosts we have ever had. Her hard work and the beautiful interior design shows in every room. We loved the backyard and we cannot say enough about how clean the property and house was. Very quiet neighborhood also. We will definitely try to stay there again and recommend her property to all our family and friends who visit Colorado Springs. What an oasis!

Our stay at this property was just fantastic!!! It was so clean, exactly like it was described and one of the best properties I have ever rented from VRBO! Communication was fabulous and anything that we needed was very quickly taken care of! We had a wonderful stay at this property and so did our pup who loved the doggie door!! Thanks so much for the clean, beautiful, comfy place to stay!!!

Two Weeks In Heaven

We came up from Phoenix to spend two weeks in July cooling off. The house was very nice just the right size for my wife and me and dog. It is beautifully furnished. Celia has quite a neck for interior decorating. We enjoyed the hot tub and the backyard with Mowed grass was a lot of fun for our dog. The house is perfectly located to all the awesome attractions and activities in Colorado Springs. We will likely be coming here every summer.

A beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood

This beautiful house is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood that is easy to find and close to whatever you want to do in Colorado Springs. House is well maintained and stocked with anything you might need for your stay. The jacuzzi was the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Hosts are responsive and a pleasure to work with. Experiences like this are why we choose VRBO over hotels. We will absolutely stay here the next time we come visit family in the Springs.

Couldn’t have been in a better location. The host went out of their way with this property. It’s absolutely to die for. I loved every single detail and want to now redecorate my whole entire home. I can’t wait to come back! And not to mention…. The Bono paintings were simply perfect and beautiful.

The interior was fine, however the towels were in poor condition and only enough for one set per person for the week. The linens were old. The lawn was not mowed nor was the back porch swept when we arrived. Celia also put in an insurance claim for these items and more, indicating that we had damaged these. I would not recommend this property.

Hello Susan, Thank you for your feedback. I always appreciate the opportunity to hear from guests and continually improve both the property and the hosting experience. I’d also like to provide additional context for future guests reading this review: Violation of House Rules – The listing, house manual, and posted signage clearly indicate that certain areas (such as the detached garage and locked closets) are private. The garage is always locked; however, after you requested yard service, my yard technician inadvertently forgot to deadbolt the door when finishing. Unfortunately, my video security system alerted me later that night that this area was accessed. I immediately messaged you through the platform and also contacted you directly on your cell to let you know this space was not open to guests. Despite this, further recordings showed continued entry into the garage. When you finally acknowledged my text, it was significantly delayed & next day. In addition, keys belonging to the cleaning team that are stored in a secure location out of site, were also removed from the garage and used to unlock other private spaces within the house, My cleaning crew found them inside the house after your departure. This required me to file a claim. Damage Claim – The claim submitted was not solely related to towels. It covered multiple items, including linens that were just replaced before arrival and soiled beyond professional cleaning. In addition, the claim also covered theft, as I had to replace most supplies that were just purchased from Costco the month previous. The towels mentioned in your review were stored in a locked closet and not part of the guest amenities. If you felt they were old, they probably were as this is where cleaning towels are also stored. Outdoor Space – On the second day of your stay, you reached out about the backyard. The lawn was serviced within 24 hours of you letting me know, and I explained at the time that several weeks of rain and thunderstorms had delayed mowing. For transparency, I require my cleaning team to provide before-and-after photos at every turnover, and those confirmed the porch was clean before check-in. However, with storms and your party moving of patio furniture, debris can accumulate quickly, which may have contributed to how it looked during your stay. Regardless, I truly apologize that the backyard was not up to your standards, however, I resolved the issue promptly. Linens and Towels – I keep a log of linens, towels and dates of replacement. The linens you and your guests slept on were just replaced at the beginning of September. Guests are provided with three bath towels and two spa towels per person, along with access to the washer and dryer in the home. I also keep additional towels in a cabinet that are available for guest use. Had you let me know you needed more, I would have been happy to direct you to them. The extra towels you referenced were in private storage. I take all feedback very seriously and strive to provide a high-quality experience. At the same time, I have a responsibility to protect the property by enforcing the house rules. This is not only for transparency but also for the safety and comfort of all guests. To future guests: My goal is to elevate your stay, which is why I make myself readily available and highly responsive. I welcome open communication and, most importantly, the opportunity to quickly resolve anything that feels less than satisfactory. The house was nice , loved the outdoor patio hot tub.along with the bedrooms / the master bedroom had a separate outside door that was amazing! It had all the amenities we needed for the week except we only found 2 wash clothes for the bathrooms! The kitchen was fully stocked! The house was cute besides the decorations! The decorations / paintings on the wall along with the books on the shelf were not family appropriate. And they had very inappropriate postcards on the refrigerator. Also there was no AC which nothing was listed that there was or wasn’t, but we think it should really be listed that there isn’t any AC! Just our opinion! God Bless

Hi Danyell! Firstly, I want to thank you and your family for staying at my home. I also greatly appreciate the feedback as it’s very helpful for me in creating a better guest experience! I would like to address the washcloth situation. I provided 8 towels and 4 washcloths, in addition to access of a washer/dryer (with complimentary detergent). As you may have read in my house manual, I provide my personal number and instruct guests to call me for anything. We communicated throughout your stay and this is something that was never mentioned to me. Unfortunately, I can’t assist with something I don’t know about. I do in fact have additional washcloth/hand towels that are stored in a cabinet in the event a guest needs more. They are stored away simply to reduce clutter. Had I known you needed more washcloths, I would have directed you to the cabinet where they are stored. Artwork and Decore: My home is eclectic, and style may not be to everyone’s taste, so I am sorry you felt it was inappropriate. I painted the lighthouse in the dining room and did most of the head portraits myself. I am not entirely sure what is not family friendly about them, but again, we all have different tastes. All of my wall work is also shown in the images in my listing). As far as books, again, not sure which books you are referring to, nor the postcards. Guests do tend to leave things after they depart, and I have a cleaning crew to do the turnovers. This is great feedback as I will be sure to ask them to sweep the house for such items that could be deemed inappropriate as part of the cleaning. This was another thing that was not brought to my attention, therefore impossible to assist with a solution to make you more comfortable during your stay. Regarding AC. I request people to read the entire listing prior to booking. I am also very responsive to questions and inquiries. AC has never been advertised as an amenity in my listing. And I’m sorry you assumed it was. AC is not common in the Springs and rarely used. I’ve rented my home for many summers, and this has never come up as an issue. I responded immediately when you brought this to my attention and was very upfront. The house is also well insulated and has ceiling and portable fans for comfort. Again, I am sorry this raised an issue for you. With all that said, I truly thank you for being a guest and hope you enjoyed your stay. You are welcome back anytime!
