Quaint and welcoming one-bedroom cottage located on a landmark property in beautiful Excelsior, one block from Lake Minnetonka, Excelsior Commons, and the beach. Walk to Excelsior's restaurants and shops, regional trails, and more!
Comfortable and cozy, this cottage is in an ideal location to enjoy all Excelsior has to offer, while returning to your own private cottage for quiet relaxation.
The cottage is a stand-alone one bedroom home with a private entrance, located on the same parcel as what was once the Catholic Mission House, a designated Heritage Preservation Landmark. The cottage has a full kitchen with stovetop, oven, microwave and refrigerator. The living/dining area includes a table that expands to seat six and a sofa futon that converts to a queen size bed. The bedroom includes a full-size bed with high-quality linens and pillow top mattress cover, as well as an oversized closet.
The cottage's entry area includes a small mudroom for you to store your coats, shoes, and more. A full-size washer and dryer is also located in the mudroom. In the warmer months, guests may enjoy spending time on the cottage's patio under the shade of one of the parcel's decades-old trees.
The cottage is located in an active neighborhood close to some of Excelsior's most popular events and activities, including those that take place at Excelsior Commons. Depending on time of year, you may see softball players on the way to a game at the ball field, concertgoers on the way to enjoy one of the free concerts in the Commons, or crowds bundled up to watch the annual dog sled race. And while the cottage has a full kitchen, guests are only two blocks away from Excelsior's main street, Water Street, where they will find numerous restaurants and shops.
Please note: the private home sharing the parcel includes two friendly and enthusiastic resident pets. Guests may be greeted from afar by the pets, but the pets do not have access to the property immediately surrounding the cottage (patio and entrance areas).
