Thanks for the review! We are happy that your family had fun! Our deck has been in the process of a partial rebuild and refinishing. The contractors have had several delays. It is supposed to be complete this week.

Spring Break on the Lake

The owner was great. He had just finished power washing all the decks and boat dock when we arrived. Great views and comfortable house to relax. Bring your water toys but know that it is a pretty good hike down to the lake. Captain Pete's Boathouse is a great place to have lunch or dinner and JJ BBQ and Burgers is a great takeout place to get food and bring it back to the house.

Perfect Spot on Deepwater Cove

This is our second summer to stay at this property and we loved it just as much! Has everything we need and just so relaxing! Great family time! My ONLY issue is the mattress in the master bedroom it feels like you are sleeping on box springs. But I knew that issue from the first time and still went back! The owners are are great! Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful Stay at Lake Travis Rental!

This stay was a lot of fun and the house is very well described! The dock is wonderful to swim near and listen to music while hanging out. That being said I don't think it was cleaned in quite sometime. There were a ton of spider webs in area where people clearly would needed access to. Not a big deal just something to look at in the future. The one thing that was a bit startling were the amounts of hornets nests on the dock. This could be very dangerous for children...we went out and got spray to kill them but probably something that needs to be checked more regularly. House is very comfortable and well situated. Overall very nice stay...thanks again.

This gentleman is referring to wasps nests (not hornets nests) and spider webs on the dock. The wasps nests have been sprayed and removed. We try to keep the spider webs knocked down but they reappear each day. Thank you for your review!

Lake Vacation

The house met all the needs for our family vacation. The water level was low but the deep water cove with dock access allowed us to not miss a beat. The house is well appointed and all the basics were covered. We enjoyed using the dock for our boat and grilled while we were there. The location on the lake and view can't be beat! The nearest town Lago Vista had adequate dining, grocery stores, etc and downtown Austin is ~45 min away.

Wonderful place!

Randall and Madeline's lake home is the perfect getaway. It's just remote enough to feel like you're "getting away," but all conveniences that you could need are still within a reasonable drive. The house is very clean and comfortable but at the same time has the relaxed feel of a vacation home. The house has everything you could possibly need-- the kitchen is almost as well -furbished as mine at home! Besides kitchenware, the home was well-stocked with a more than adequate supply of towels, blankets, and anything you could need. My family had a great time swimming and boating off the dock. Some people may find the walk to and from the lake to be a bit of a hike, but I'm a "fluffy" middle-aged woman and had no trouble at all, in fact I kind of enjoyed the exercise. I would definitely stay in this home again. The ONLY thing I think could be improved upon would be if they had a few "toys" available, such as floats, lily pads, etc. The other home we considered included kayaks and a canoe, which was really tempting. We're glad we went with this home, but few water-sport accessories would make this house perfect. I want to add that although we didn't have any major issues I had a couple questions while we were there, and Randall and Madeline were incredibly responsive. This is an easy rental--no complicated check-in or check-out process and everything within the home is easy to operate--but if you do have a question you will get an almost immediate response. We had a great time and would love to go back soon!

Great house, great location.

House was clean and had plenty of amenities for everything we needed. Lake swimming was excellent with a nice cove with low boat traffic, making it great for fishing and relaxing.

This house was so perfect for my husband and his group of friends, they all said the pictures didn't do it justice. Perfect location, with direct lake access. They would stay again and also highly recommend to others!

Lakehouse review

I enjoyed the serenity and peaceful surroundings. The lake was beautiful. However it was not easy to get down to the lake lots too f steep steps and no railings. The house was nice but dated. Upgrades inside and outside would really enhance the beauty and stunning location. Their were some issues with some items inside and outside the house that needed repairs but the owner was very responsive. He did his best to repair some of the items while we were there. He was very personal and polite. Overall the stay was enjoyable.

Rest and Relaxation

Hello, everything was so great! The view was magnificent and the house was lovely! We do not like to complain and do not expect any monetary refund. There were a couple of concerns: We found a pair of socks that were not ours in the sheets of the master bedroom. No offense to your cleaning person(s). The TV in the master did not work, this might have been user error. The outside lights stopped at the deck. They were not connected all the way. The fold out couch was very uncomfortable/not functional as a bed. The upstairs did not have fans- and the bedroom with the bunk and double bed were a bit wobbly they squeaked every time we moved, it was hard to sleep with 3 people and no ceiling fans. Like I said, excellent view we did exactly as we intended, relaxed in a different place other than home. Thank you for letting us stay.

Fabulous Family Reunion

Our family was able to enjoy a fabulous time at the Lakeshore Ranch! The house was comfortable and well equipped with a beautiful view of Lake Travis from the spacious house deck and our adult children enjoyed floating around the dock while the older adults could visit on a lower deck or on the dock where there was a patio set. We enjoyed a day on the water and rented a pontoon which was able to pick up our group on their large dock. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate us. We will definitely be back!

Great location close to small shopping area and gas. quiet deep cove with nice boat house. be aware lots of stairs to water not uncommon for any of the houses on lake travis. great view from deck. owner extremely responsive tiny issue with the dock fixed the same day.

Comfortable, homey getaway close to Austin

The house was absolutely spotless upon arrival, and the deck & chairs had also been cleaned (no pollen, leaves or twigs, etc.)--immediately relaxing. The main room of the house has a view of the water from all areas. (The only bedroom with a water view is the master on the ground floor.). The kitchen was thoroughly stocked with tools & pans that were in good condition. The satellite TV worked fine, the TV has open HDMI ports (for things like a Nintendo Switch), and the internet was good enough for my spouse to work during the day over Zoom video. The furniture is comfortable, the decor is personal without making you feel like you're intruding in someone's home, and the owner was very responsive & helpful with everything.

Overall a good stay

Host was responsive, reaching the house was a bit confusing especially at night. Sofa bed was not that comfortable but all the other rooms and beds were well made. Check was nothing but opening the door as it was unlocked.

Great deck for an evening with friends. Great view of lake and quiet location.

Fabulous accommodations for our group. We enjoyed the quiet lower deck by the water and the long deck by the house. Great view if the stars and excellent place to unwind. Our group enjoyed the well stocked kitchen and the comfortable beds. Exceeded our expectations for view abs natural beauty.

Great Lake View

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Randall was easy to rent from, & his home is located in a nice subdivision. There was plenty of space and ample supplies provided. The water & sunrises are gorgeous!
