Our stay at Tour Maurbourg

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights at this great apartment. It was centrally located and near to the Eiffel Tower, Rue Cler as well as steps away from the metro. We enjoyed feeling like locals and the apartment was great. It was so nice to have a washer and dryer and be able to cook a bit.

Elegant 1BR Apartment Near Rue Cler

When in Paris this is the apartment my husband and I prefer to stay at. My husband likes it because it is a authentic Haussmann style apartment, with all the ornament and paneling still intact. Everything is within walking distance and the restaurants are great. The bedroom is located above the private inner courtyard and is quiet. You won't regret staying in this beautiful apartment. It's very comfortable.

Fantastic Apartment!!!

We had a wonderful time! The apartment was FANTASTIC! It was bigger and closer to the Rue Cler than we thought when looking(less than 1 minute stroll). The Metro station is even closer (1 block away). The apartment was big enough for 4 with room to spare. Very clean, in a nice quiet building and close to everything we needed(cafes, restaurants, markets, metro stations, etc.) We will DEFINITELY try to stay there again on our next visit and will recommend it to everyone we know looking for a great place to stay in Paris.

As advertised

The property was as advertised. Clean and well maintained. The owner has a local property manager to handle transactions/issues when he is out of town and all were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Great location. 100 feet to the subway which was great with the rain we got that week. Safe and upscale neighborhood. Nice pedestrian street with restarants and shops (Rue Cler) very close by. After a long day away touring the city it was nice to relax and refresh in the very large kitchen with some wine and cheese and to have many dining options close by as we were too tired to venture farther afield at the end of the day. We ate at Tribecka on Rue Cler twice as the service, variety and quality were good. My only negative comment about the apt is about the street noise in the front living room at night which we hoped to use for sleeping on the futon as there were 3 of us. The one bedroom and kitchen are very quite opening to a internal courtyard. The living room faces the street which is a deadend but is close to a secondary street. Both my daughter and I found the noise at night from the garbage pick up from the shops and the infamous motorbikes roaring by hard to get used to. We live in the suburbs so are use to total silence at night. I would expect this to be an issue for any apt in Paris, just something to be aware of if more than 2 are staying at this apt. I would definitely consider staying here again with just my wife and I.

FANTASTIC!!!

Great experience with everything...Jim was fantastic to work with. Loved the car service recommendation with Franck(he was helpful throughout our entire stay in getting us to places). What a truly elegant and beautiful apartment in want of absolutely nothing!

Every detail in and of this elegant and beautiful apartment has been meticulously planned and carried out. Anyone staying here will be in want of naught. Proximity to food and other shopping within a brief walking distance as is the metro. Truly a home away from home.

Fantastic Experience in Paris

For our first visit to Paris this apartment was perfectly situated for us in the 7th Arrondissement. Proximity to the La Tour Maubourg metro stop was perfect and gave us easy access to everyplace we wanted to go. We certainly enjoyed the many cafes in the area including Rue Cler which provided us with anything that we needed to bring back to the apartment as well a choice of additional restaurants. We managed to do almost everything on our list of sites and places to visit. The entire experience with the owner, Jim Romano and his team, including U.S. based Laurie, and Paris residents Balthazar, Franck, and Aline made our visit very enjoyable.

Home away from home

My husband and I stayed in Jim's flat for 10 days this time! We just love so much the comfort and the location of this apartment. This was our second time there and we plan to go back again!!! Jim and his team are very reliable. They would do anything to accommodate your request. We arrived so early in the morning and they let us in before the check in time!

Fantastic apartment in Paris

We loved staying in the 7th near the Eiffel Tower, just a walk away. Location location location in Paris is important. We were near the Re Cler where we shopped everyday for cheeses at Cantin(most famous in Paris) as well as produce and ready made dishes and great cafes. The apartment is perfect for a couple and could sleep tow more in sitting room if needed. We loved the big table in the kitchen and all the amenities. The apartment was clean and comfortable and elegant. We would recommend to our friends and return someday. Thank you for a great place in Paris!

My favorite apartment in my favorite city

Having rented quite a few apartments in Paris, I have now found the only apartment I will rent in the future. The location is perfect and the space is wonderful. The metro is a short block away, lots of great restaurants nearby, as well as many grocery stores and bakeries. I'm hesitant to give the apartment a fabulous review for fear it won't be available when I want to use it!

Fabulous apartment in the 7th arrondisement

Fabulous location and beautifully appointed apartment. We enjoyed relaxing after a day of museum going in the beautifully decorated, but comfortable living room with a glass of champagne ! We will plan our future trips to Paris around being able to stay at this wonderful apartment - enough said !

A Paris Gem

What a great place to stay in Paris! A Metro stop is a block away and the popular Bus #69 is just as close, both giving you quick access to anywhere in Paris. Located in a quiet neighborhood in the Rue Cler area, you are among the locals when you venture out to buy pastries and coffee, or dine in one of the dozens of small restaurants nearby. The owner, Jim Romano, has appointed this apartment with beautiful antiques, comfortable furnishings, and all of the amenities you will need. The bottle of Bordeaux was very welcome after a long day of traveling! All of the rooms, including the bathroom, are very spacious with wonderful tall ceilings. Herringbone wood floors and Persian rugs are throughout. When inquiring about and booking the apartment, Jim communicates with you directly, usually within a few hours. Yolanda and Francis are the English-speaking property managers in Paris, and spend whatever time you need at check-in to tell you about the apartment and the area. During your stay, Yolanda is just a phone call away for any questions or problems. Franck and Aline provide a superb and reasonably-priced car service to and from the airport, or wherever you might want to go. This apartment is a gem in the middle of Paris and very worthy of all of the five-star ratings it gets! Thanks Jim, for sharing your Paris home.

Beautiful, modern condo close to the metro and shopping

This condo is only 1 block from the metro and 1 block from Rue Cler which is a great market street. It is one flight up but there is a small elevator for the heavy suitcases. The internet connection is pretty weak but reliable. The kitchen is brand new and complete with gas range, oven, dishwasher and clothes washer. Beautiful oriental rugs are cover most of the floors. The neighborhood is very quiet at night but you will hear the people above you walking around. Overall, this is a wonderful, clean and beautiful condo. The owner has prepared a list of recommended restaurants that is very handy as well.

Excellent in all ways.

We are grandparents and a 14 year old granddaughter and enjoyed this apartment very very much. Spacious apartment and great location-near Eiffel Tower and metro and restaurants. Manager of apartment very very helpful. I highly recommend using Franck as driver for airport pick ups. Kitchen is perfectly equipped. Very clean also. When all the corners are clean--it is clean! Also loved being able to call the US from apartment. Thank you for a wonderful dream trip for our granddaughter. Would stay here again!

A Wondrful Stay

We looked forward to our time in Paris and when we arrived there at the apartment of Jim Romano, we knew immediately that our expectations were more than satisfied. After the challenge of airports and luggage, Jim Romano’s local contact for the apartment, Yolanda, was on hand to greet us and walk us through all the steps from operation of the washer/dryer to personal challenges with issues such as cell phones and Sim cards. Yolanda also took us for a walk and a brief introduction to the neighborhood that was a very helpful orientation for the next couple of days as we settled in. The manual Jim left in the apartment was also an excellent guide full of tips on where to eat, shop and meet people who may share our interests. We felt very much at home, especially when we found later the first afternoon, a complimentary bottle of Bordeaux wine and Evian water on the kitchen counter. Our first days were the discovery within walking distance (less than a fifteen minute walk) of numerous major sights e.g., Pont Alexandre III (one of the most beautiful bridges one could ever expect to see), Napoleon’s tomb, the Rodin museum, the Grand and Petit Palais. We found only a bit further walk away were Musee D’Orsay, the Tulleries, the Eiffel Tower and the l’Oraganerie. Less than 5 minutes away was Rue Cler and its markets, a delightful place to stroll for fresh breads in the morning or for fruits, vegetables and fish for evening dinners at home. Most charming was the fact that we had the ‘feel’ that we were in an authentic Parisian neighborhood rather than in much more ‘touristy’ and crowded adjacent areas such as Saint Germain and the Champs and Rivoli. The presence of an in-apartment dish washer and washer/dryer (although we never used the dyer, preferring the drying rack which worked well) were also conveniences we came to appreciate more as we were there. The kitchen was very, well supplied with spices and utensils for cooking along with an excellent stove. The large, beautiful wood dining room table provided a venue for the hours we spent over meals either planning and/or debriefing our days. The apartment was ideal also with a subway station one block away and it provided a comfortable, roomy respite after a tiring day. The crowning amenity was the weekly cleaning Francis Martin provided as part of our stay. It was deeply appreciated since the three good size rooms (plus bath) would have normally required more time and effort that we were able instead to spen

Perfect Stunning Parisian Apartment with Old World Charm and modern amenities

This was the perfect place in so many ways. The location is tucked in the 7th along a quiet side street, the nearest Metro stop is just around the corner. This is a lovely neighborhood, safe for a single female traveler like myself even late at night coming back on the Metro or by walking. There's everything you need near by (bakery, SIM card shop, restaurants, pharmacy), and there are views of the Eiffel Tower along the main streets. The apartment itself is absolutely stunning and spacious, in a lovely atmospheric building, with beautiful ornate chandeliers in every room, charming original architecture and moldings, antique mirrors, very tastefully appointed! All the while, there are no sacrifices with amenities - the kitchen is supreme and modern, and the bathroom is elegantly renovated with a rain shower and sparkling clean. It was an amazing and comfortable place to come home to at the end of a day -- and it truly felt like a home! The internet and phone services worked without a glitch. There is a plethora of travel guides and reading books left behind by past visitors. Yolanda and Francis were very attentive and took time to make sure everything was perfectly arranged. I used the recommended driver and had a seamless transition from airport to apartment and back. What a wonderful stay, it was hard to leave! The place is even more amazing than the photos show. A total treat!

Return Visit to this Wonderful Apartment

This was our second stay in this apartment. Obviously, we wouldn't have come back if we were not totally satisfied with the experience. Located in the very livable and attractive 7th arrondissement, it is a block from a Metro stop and two blocks from the rue Cler, a great shopping street. The apartment itself is excellently appointed with a very well equipped, American style kitchen. As my wife and I look back over our stays in Paris through the years (and they are numerous, amounting to about 5 months in total), we've never been more comfortable than in this apartment.

A lovely Spring week in Paris

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment in what is our favourite Paris neighbourhood. The apartment is very comfortable and well appointed and we appreciated the welcome package which made sure we were off to a good start. The staff were readily accessible and very helpful in making sure we were well settled in and ready to just enjoy our stay. There is a very good information package in the apartment with advice on where to shop and eat etc. The building is quiet and is located very close to the Metro and the Rue Cler Market, with lots of shops and restaurants. Overall, we consider this to be one of our best experiences in renting apartments in many countries in the world. We will try to rent this apartment again on a future stay.

Location and Luxury Combined!

We selected this apartment for our first visit to Paris. The apartment was wonderful, and we had easy access to bus and metro for travel throughout the city. The unit exceeded our expectations, and the photos did not do justice to how comfortable it was for us. We were especially grateful to Yolanda, the property manager, who greeted us for a late Saturday night arrival. She made sure our wifi connections were established, explained all aspects of the apartment, and gave us valuable advice on getting around and special events occuring on Sunday. She advised us concerning Rue Cler, where we were able to get fresh food for our entire visit. The owner was responsive and comfortable to deal with as we set up arrangements. Key attractions nearby: Rue Cler for food & shopping, an enjoyable walk to the Eiffel Tower, and metro and bus route 69 within a block. We would recommend this property to anyone.

Wonderful apartment in an ideal location

My wife and I spent a month in Jim's apartment. We had rented studio apartments in Paris previously for 10 days to two weeks. But since we were now renting for a full month we wanted more space, and this apartment proved ideal. Most features are excellent--the comfortable living room, a bedroom with plenty of space for clothes and a good bed, a bathroom with good fixtures and plenty of shelf and cabinet space. However, the kitchen requires extra superlatives with modern appliances, loads of pots and pans, cooking implements of all sorts and plenty of dishes and glasses--even champagne flutes. Add to this, the big dining table and counter space, and you have a large room where you can spend time preparing and then eating a fine meal. We ate breakfast in the apartment every morning, getting our croissants and baguettes from one the half dozen boulangeries within a few blocks. In addition we usual ate either lunch or dinner in the apartment. The rue Cler is two blocks away. It is a marvelous shopping street with excellent fruit and vegetable produce, wine stores, and most importantly for us, traiteurs--basically a combination caterer and delicatessen--where you can get main courses already prepared as well as the accompaniments. In addition to the rue Cler, the 7th arrondissement location is ideal with two Metro stations very close by and useful bus routes running along nearby streets. From this base we explored many of the far-reaching quartiers of Paris. Yolanda, the property manager, looked after the apartment's maintenance and always answered our questions promptly. Paris is magical with infinite ways to entertain and enchant the visitor, and being based in a comfortable and convenient apartment adds to the joy of the experience. I'm sure we'll rent this apartment again.

Perfect

My wife, daughter (1 3/4 at the time of stay), mother in law, and I stayed in the apartment for 8 nights and couldn't have been happier. Franck took us from and to the airport and couldn't have been better. The location is wonderful and only two blocks from Rue Cler and another two blocks from the Eiffel Tower. We walked most places which were easy to get to. Short walk to Invalides. 20 - 30 minute walk from the apartment to Orsay, Lourve, and Notre Dame. Metro is close to apartment so when we didn't want to walk, we just jumped on the Metro to get where we needed. Apartment has been renovated and beautiful. Really well done and well maintained. Jim was easy to communicate with and while in Paris, his management team was equally easy to communicate with.

Thi is a top property in a great Paris location!

We (husband, wife and two teenagers) spent one week at Christmas in this terrific Paris apartment. The location near Eiffel Tower is great, with a cab stand and Metro stop nearby, along with a fabulous bus route that goes right past the apartment. The owner, James, could not have been more accommodating in setting things up. His staff person on site was very efficient. We'd go back again without any hesitation.
