Colven by AvantStay | Pool + Spa Near Golf Course

We have a very private house down a long road. Our backyard literally walks out to the lovely Knollwood Golf Course, where you can play golf or walk along their tranquil trails to or around Knollwood Country Club.

We have a large saltwater pool, hot tub, and patio area, which includes outdoor seating, lounging, dining, and a professional poker table. Full chef's kitchen and plenty of comfy bedrooms and baths. Large private office room included w/ desk, couch, and workout equipment.

The unique thing about this house is its privacy; it is situated down a long road off the main road and is nestled within the golf course. We have a sound system in the backyard and a fun backyard area with/a pool, hot tub, BBQ, dining area, and a real-life professional poker table. We only allow a maximum of 10 people in this house at all times.

We have a full traditional office in one of the rooms with an exercise area.

We have 2 x HDTVs w/smart apps.

This is a great area to go hiking or walking. Or you can go down to the Knollwood Country Club to sign up for tee time at the golf course directly outside your backyard.

Home Truths:
- 2 pets are allowed at this home. But pets must be approved in advance and are subject to an additional fee of $150 per pet. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- The best way to get around Los Angeles is to take an Uber if you want to avoid high parking prices.
- One of our full baths is outside by the pool area making it a poolside shower.
- Pool heat is available for an additional fee but must be requested at least 48 hours in advance.
- You must be at least 21 years old to book this home.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

You will be asked to sign a Los Angeles Good Neighbor Policy prior to your stay.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 28 days require a security deposit.

We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.

Not as advertised.
This home showed “Premier Host”. The property is hosted by AvantStay. The home was dirty, kitchen and bathrooms in particular. There were missing pillow sheets and no bottom sheet on the king mattress. I rented this home because it had a pool. I paid for the pool to be heated. I was in contact several times to be sure it was going to be heated. Upon arrival on 3/31 the pool and hot tub were cold. The pool was turned on a day later however it took a few days to reach 73 degrees. It wasn’t until Friday that the pool was warm. Very dissatisfied with AvantStay and VRBO. Requesting a refund.

Thought Vrbo was better...
There were MANY issues with the checkin and promised aemities at this, potentially lovely, property. We were there for 6 days. I paid for the pool to be heated. It was the reason I rented the house. I checkin in multiple times and was assured it would be. I had people coming in from snowbound states, it was the center perk to their visit...IT WAS NOT DONE! I was clear and Vrbo and Avantstay failed. I was furious. I came to the property to set up for my friends. I was a bit shocked. VRBO claims to be a step up, instead I found holes and patches on walls, a bedroom door that had obviously been kicked in, the bathrooms were not cleaned properly with hair and muck in showers and floors, gross. Had them clean again. The house was freezing, but no instructions to deal with control or fireplace. Later in a freezing rainstorm, I brought my friends to the house. I went to the website for the lock code. The code was now gibberish. MAKE SURE YOU WRITE CODES. It took SIX calls to get a code for the lockbox, NOT WHERE STATED, and then the key did not work! We were soaked. On the 7th call a rep found the door code (why not the 6 others!?). Horrible start We stood around the gas stove to warm up. The pool never worked. We had to buy water and they had to bring ice because the frig was not working properly. We made the best of the visit. The owner showed up and we told him our feelings and showed him the issues but was not responsive. Made me sad. For the summer this is a great property.
