This was our first visit to Venice Beach and we enjoyed it very much. We found the property easily, but once onsite I had to walk up and down to figure out which unit was B. The stairs going up were rather narrow and steep. Not really a problem for us, but I expect they would be an issue for some. We were happy when we saw the inside though. The apartment was attractive and well furnished. We found the king bed extremely comfortable and we slept well. I liked having the balcony. The neighborhood was quiet and seemed safe. The walk to the beach was very short, not bad at all. The communal beach chairs had seen better days but we found a couple that were serviceable.The historic downtown area was less than a mile from the building. We walked back and forth several times. The San Marco restaurant and the old time Soda Shoppe were our favorites. I would recommend this property for a comfortable stay in Venice.

Check-in and check-out was super easy. The apartment was well stocked with garbage bags, toilet paper, etc.. Unfortunately , the tile floor was dirty. The bottoms of our feet were black from walking barefoot in the apartment from very first afternoon we arrived. After that, we had to wear something on our feet at all times. The host could have been more attentive in that it took a while to get a response to our request/questions.

The cooking dishes pots pans strainer toaster and refrigerator rack were all rusted thus unusable!! The oven was terriblely dirty with oil at the base. The minute it was turned on it gave a burnt smell impossible to use!! The AC didn’t cool the bedrooms. The living room floor wasn’t swept. The host never responded to our messages. Overall communication was poor I.e none!! It’s a shame because the location and the neighborhood is beautiful!

Great Location

Everything was good, except the place was EXTREMELY dusty! My son has allergies and it was very difficult for him to breathe without using his inhaler and the rest of us were starting to sneeze and cough as well. Underneath the furniture doesn’t look like it has ever been cleaned, however the place overall was nice and tidy, just dusty. The location was perfect, only a few minute walk to the beach, and the screened in porch was very big. The kitchen had everything we needed and the laundry room was supplied with detergent. Thank you for our stay!

Venice Villa Vacation

Staying at Barcelona Villas is always a good experience. The location is great & very close to the beach. Everything you need is close. The area is very beautiful & we always enjoy our stay. The only thing I wish was a little better is the cleanliness of the floors. The floors are swept well, but need to be washed because our feet and socks were black after just a few hours of being there. Other than that everything was great.

Venice Beach area is nice

The Area was nice to walk, beach was just up the road. Disappointed in the Condo. Kitchen cabinets/ under sink, old & outdated. Doesnt look like drawers have been cleaned. Oven was dirty. One of the vertical blinds was broken. wires were showing on fan light in 2nd bedroom, & flashed when we turned it on, so we let the property manager know. Our half view was blocked by another building in front of us, which was part of our villa too, but not much view. We would not stay there again.

Location Location Location

My husband and I love Venice. We love the slower pace of life, the lazy beach days and walks downtown. What we loved most about this villa was the location. It is a short walk to the beach and a short walk downtown - we enjoy being outside and getting our steps in, so for us this was perfect. Some reviews said they thought the beach would be closer, which we did too - but that was more because the Google View shows a different villa, not VRBOs fault. The villa was stocked with all essentials and beach toys, and a wagon which was pretty fantastic!The villa was as pictured. The screened balcony was nice to have for morning coffee/breakfast and a good book. The host was available to help us when needed and replied quickly - I lost our check in information and began to panic the day before. Crisis was adverted rather quickly and I was grateful!One complaint, and this is why I gave 4 out of 5 stars - the mattress was AWFUL. Lumpy and old - or it seemed that way. My husband and I both didn’t sleep great. Highly recommend these be replaced in the near future. Other than the bed, we had a great stay! Thank you!

Perfect location near beach and historic downtown Venice

Location is perfect. Unit is older, but maintained, nicely decorated, clean and a good size for two of us. Why a rating of 3 vs 5? The master bedroom wall is "paper" thin, sharing the same wall as the next units bedroom. You can hear everything clearly, I mean everything. But once "business" was done it was the loudest snoring we could hear, so loud and non-stop we moved to the 2nd bedroom. Unfortunately that bed mattress was so uncomfortable and the bed frame noisy... it definitely needs to be replaced.But as mentioned the location is what makes this a nice place. We had a water issue (not the fault of the property) and the property manager was extremely responsive. Off-street parking under the building is nice.

Hurricane Helena Surprise

The property location was great within walking distance to Venice Beach. Very clean and stocked with necessary items. Property Manager was outstanding. She was in contact with us throughout hurricane Helena. We will definitely be back.
