Lovely property

Reefside is a beautiful, spacious property in a convenient location. We had a very nice stay. We have a few minor suggestions for the property owners: several of the rooms had no soap. It took several days for the property managers to unlock the office so we could use it. Someone left an SUV at the home the whole time we were there, making it hard for us to park our SUV.

We liked the house and its flow, but there are a few areas that could use improvement. The water pressure in some of the bathrooms is terrible. And the dresser drawers are mostly broken. The walk down to the beach was short and the beach was clean. Didn't use the beach access as much as I thought we would! Kitchen had all needed equipment but was buggy at times. The pool was amazing and needed after a long day at the beach. Very clean and well-maintained. Lots of walking when staying here but worth it. Great location! Very close to town, not walking distance, but easy drive. A lovely woman met us at our car rental and we followed her to the property and she showed us around. Very helpful staff!

A lovely home in paradise!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my first time staying in Reefside and I was not disappointed! There was tons of room for everyone to have their own space, but also great rooms for everyone to gather in. Mornings out on the balcony were lovely. The pool was outstanding and was used daily. It was great to have the access to the water and we snorkeled in Chocolate Hole several times and the snorkeling was better than some of the beaches. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed for the little bit of cooking that we did. Each bedroom was very spacious and comfortable with a lovely en suite bathroom. This was the perfect distant to town and the north shore beaches, not too close and not too far. This was the perfect escape!

We ate wonderful food including the Extra Virgin Bistro exquisite food and service. We ate on the beach at La Tapa and had a really wonderful dinner there as well. Had a fun dive with the Low Key Dive shop. Massages from Cheryl and Layla. CC car rental super helpful with our late flights! Winifred from catered to was just a wonderful person to greet and settle us in the villa! We played in the sand and snorkeled daily. What a truly wonderful vacation . Thankyou so much to the villa managers for making us feel pampered! Place was emaculate and we would like to come back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just returned from a one-week stay at Reefside Villa and could not have been more pleased with our stay. It was a perfect villa for our group of 9 and we felt like it was our own resort with each couple having their own separate mini-villa. Everything was sparkling clean, comfortable, and in good condition. Each suite offers something special and unique! The pictures, while accurate, just cannot adequately show the spaciousness of the property. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked and bigger than expected. The living room, dining room, and study were also bigger, better and more comfortable than expected. The pool was deep and much bigger than we thought it would be. Other things like the bedding, towels, beach chairs, and provisions of the home all exceeded our expectations.I loved accessing Chocolate Hole and snorkeling right from our beach here though I would not describe it as sandy. Yes, the one issue of the home is that the laundry room is only accessible within one of the suites, but I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this villa, unless you are bringing children or anyone with mobility issues. It is simply a gorgeous home and you will love it!

Reefside Villa July 2022

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our three-generation family of ten vacationed at Reefside Villa for two weeks in July 2022. We are six adults and four children ages 8-12 and this was the fourteenth visit to St. John for our family since 1981. The first thing we noted upon arrival is that the house is much larger than the description on the Catered To Website. There is a spacious office and the living room and dining room are larger than they appear in the pictures. There is an additional refrigerator adjoining the well-equipped kitchen. Internet service was great and power was never interrupted. The location was wonderful with easy parking for our two Jeeps, close to Cruz Bay and Starfish Market. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. An added treat was the tree with LOTS of iguanas right outside the house. The bedrooms were spread out so that everyone had plenty of space and privacy. The two upper bedrooms have the best ocean views but it was a little disconcerting because apparently all the bedrooms can only be locked from the inside with keys, the kids slept up there and we had only two house keys. There are a lot of steps to everywhere with the house and folks with mobility issues may have trouble with that. We could never figure out the A/C and the kitchen and dining room in particular were always a little too cold for us (but we never mentioned that to Catered To so it could have just been us). It would have been nice if there was a clearer ocean view from all of the balcony. There is a pond with brownish water just below the house which was not pleasant to look at. The bedroom up the spiral staircase never had water pressure in the shower, which we reported to Catered To but was not addressed. However, the microwave wasn't working and after we reported it to Catered To another one was delivered within minutes. All in all, it was a wonderful house for our family and we would like to return.

Great Location - Great Property Manager - Villa Needs Some Updates

The property manager met us an the ferry dock and escorted us to the property. We were given a tour and told about all the essential information. We had to contact them a couple of times and our issues were handled quickly (very professional - made sure we were told when someone would be on the property). The villa is located in Chocolate Hole and is a short drive to grocery stores and Cruz Bay restaurants and bars. Only about 15 to 20 minutes to the North Shore beaches. We had 5 couples and each couple had their own mini-villa. The property does need some updates. The pool area was not well maintained and lots of the furniture is dated with broken drawers, safes missing in most of the rooms, beach chairs need to be updated, etc. I definitely recommend CateredTo Vacation Homes - they provided lots of island information prior to our trip and was very responsive to any requests. I will definitely rent with them again.

Wini met us at the dock and was so lovely. She showed us around the house and was very helpful. This house is beautiful. The bedrooms were roomy. We did have one shower that didn't want to get hot, but we made do. There is not a safe in every room, so you'll need to share. The people in the 5Th bedroom will have to contend with everyone going through their room to access the laundry. The kitchen is well appointed and there is a Keurig as well as a drip coffee pot. 2 refrigerators. KEEP THE FREEZER DOOR TIGHTLY CLOSED! Use bug spray every day in the kitchen. (It's the tropics, not the fault of the house). The views are amazing, and the pool was so welcome after a day at the beach. The washer has a huge capacity, and it was nice to come home with almost all clean clothes. There are beach towels and chairs for 10 people and floats as well. There is one large, one smaller and one soft sided cooler. So convenient for stopping at the deli on the way to the beach. There are stairs everywhere. So, you'll get a nice work out here. We all loved this amazing house. We felt safe and comfortable and while my husband and I will surely be back as a couple, if we come with this large of a group, we will stay here. You will not be disapppointed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Spent thanksgiving week at Reefside Villa. Beautiful, spacious home with great proximity to grocery stores and Cruz bay. This villa can be tough to get to and I would not recommend using the address given in your maps app for iPhone. We used the street “via Appia” as the location and that got us home. Important to note if you are bring younger children, all bedrooms except for the upper two are separated, meaning you will not share a wall with anyone and would be separated from the kids (good or bad!) Great spot to catch some creatures around including lots of lizards and birds.

Great place needs a little TLC

Awesome home, would absolutely stay again. Couple small issues, freezer door doesn’t shut which caused loss of food, upstairs shower has almost no water pressure, could use a better set of sharp knives, dishwasher didnt work.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family loved the Reefside Villa home and the management company was very helpful and responsive. I found that it was very beneficial to work with the on island management company. I received pre-trip tips and information that were very helpful. I traveled with my parents and older children. The home is well stocked and of great quality. There are views from nearly every room! Of the 5 suites the one by the pool/laundry is a little musty and although not terrible, less desirable than the others. This may be relevant if it is a couples trip and everyone wants the top notch suite. There are a lot of stairs and there are no railings. There is one section, if you stay on the mid level where the wall can be used for support. We managed just fine with no issues but if you are traveling with someone mobility restricted it could be a problem. They may also not be able to get to the beach because the beach path starts with a steep section. We knew about the stair before we arrived from both the reviews and the management company so these notes are not a complaint at all and the concern won't apply to most groups. The water access to the stone beach was amazing for a swim or Watersport although the snorkeling in the bay isn't much compared to other island spots. I highly recommend this property and hope to stay there again.

Great Getaway!

Lovely, quiet and spacious home. Our family definitely enjoyed our stay. We were able to enjoy time together and were able to retreat to the solitude of our spacious rooms. Loved the quick walk to the sea water! Looking forward staying here again.

Lovely property

Property is located at Chocolate Hole, not Contant Farms. VRBO pin is in wrong location on the map. But neighborhood is lovely. 10 min drive to Cruz Bay. Peaceful and off the beaten path. Very spacious. House has amazing decor; not typical of a rental property. Property management fixed a water line problem right away when we ran out of water. Dishwasher tray needs repair. Our small children loved exploring the small rocky beach and spying on iguanas.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Reefside villa is a wonderful place for a family vacation. Well maintained, high quality villa. For those with small children, understand there are no bedrooms with direct access to the main house where the kitchen and living room is at. All bedrooms (ensuite with king beds) have exterior access to the main house. This was not a problem for us since all our kids are adults. Could be problematic for families with small children.The grounds are fabulous and well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped to cook in...better than other villas we have rented. Easy access to town and north shore beaches. Limited parking, but two 4 door jeeps did fit. Short walk to south shore private ocean entrance. It is rocky, but was a joy to sit on the rocks and watch the waves and get some sun. Only complaint is the laundry room. The dryer exhausts into the laundry room...not outside. It tends to overrun the AC in the adjoining bedroom on the lower level and keep it overly hot and humid. Very pleased with the management company and would gladly use them again. We already miss St John and are planning when we can get there again.
