The views were amazing, the home is beautiful and updated. The pool was so nice and concierge always checked in. Also this was close to town!. I would stay there again and plan to tell my friends about it.

Great Place - Beautiful Viewa

We had a great week at Southern Cross Villa! The host, Drew, was the best host we have ever had. So responsive. Property is well kept the only complaint would be that the dining room has no fans and without AC got toasty playing games. Living area fans more helpful. But the views are worth it along with the host!

Perfect rental for a couples trip!

We spent a week here with 3 other couples and absolutely loved it. Beautiful views, great bedroom for each couple, big common area and tons of outdoor space. Easy to communicate with the host and easy drive to Cruz Bay/north shore beaches. Road up to the house has an unpaved section so you definitely want a car with 4 wheel drive. Would love to come back and stay here again!

Good home but for the price it needed a little maintenance

The home is lovely and it fit our needs but for the price we paid it should have been maintained better. Screens were off the tracks, the ice maker didn't work and the lights didn't work well. These were easy fixes and should have been done before we arrived. Communication about the electricity issues would have been a good idea. We've traveled a lot and understand the load issues but managing expecations would have been a good idea. St John was wonderful but we'd probably stay somewhere with beach access and a sunset view next time.

This property has everything and more than we could have expected. The pictures posted are beautiful but we were amazed how breathtaking the place and view brought everything to the next level. The attention to detail from beginning to end by the host exhibits total customer service and experience!

Drew, our concierge was exceptional. Answered all questions. The view is absolutely spectacular. The house is immaculate. The kitchen is perfect for Chefs.

Perfect & Peaceful

Great time, location and space to vacation with my husband and 3 other couples. Quick drive to Cruz Bay & beaches. The 4 bedrooms w/full baths provided the private space we each needed while the large kitchen, living/dining and outdoor spaces gave us room to talk, dance and do karaoke! The view is spectacular from all of the outdoor areas. We grilled and ate outdoors most evenings.

Great Location with Plenty of Room

We were at Southern Cross for 13 days. The first 6 days with family which included 2 teenage girls, 13&15, the last 7 days with 5 adult friends. The listing doesn't tell you the second floor of the house isn't reachable from the first unless you go outside and down some stairs. Then the two smaller bedrooms downstairs do not connect but are separate units. This wasn't important for us but it might be for those with younger kids. You can't beat the views! Absolutely stunning! The kitchen has everything you need if, like our family, you don't go out to eat every meal. There was plenty of outdoor sitting space and everyone enjoyed being outside whether it was just sitting around visiting or utilizing the pool. We personally thought they might have included extra pillows in the bedrooms and a couple of throws. Some of us were hot natured and some cooler. Given the living area outside of the bedrooms is not air conditioned we needed to keep doors open for much needed air circulation which wasn't conducive to all.The only other issue we thought someone might like to be made aware of is the driveway's width makes it difficult to turn a jeep around which is necessary in order to leave the property. It was quite an ordeal every time we left! ( and we had two jeeps.) There were a couple of times we had to call Drew ( the host) for questions or some small issue and he was always accessible and responded immediately. We would definitely return to The Southern Cross!

Beautiful home and location!

I would certainly reserve this property again! The location couldn't be beat and the views are AMAZING! The pool hit the spot after beachin' it all day and beach towels and chairs were provided, which made the packing easier. I do wish they had a small cooler for guests to take to beach, but cannot complain. The grocery store was just a short trip away!

Amazing trip!

Southern Cross is a stunning home! The views of Chocolate Hole and Cruz Bay are so beautiful! The new owners have updated all the appliances and furniture . The house had everything we needed for our family of five. The owner is so communicative and incredibly nice! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful home but had issues

The home is beautiful and the location is beautiful but we had issues with several applicances and the property manager wasn't has helpful as we thought he should be. The dishwasher leaked all over the kitchen. The property manager said it was fixed and it leaked again... we had to mop it up both times. The washing machine leaked and we had to mop up that too. And there were other issues. We were

AMAZING House!!

This is our 2nd time to Southern Cross and it was even better than the first! The house was clean and spacious and the views are UNBELIEVABLE!!! The proximity to town and the beaches is also incredible. The Master bedroom and shower are incredible. The ONLY downside was not having air conditioning in the main living/dining/kitchen area but the bedrooms were all plenty cool with ac units. We loved it and hope to be back!!!

Beautiful Location

We absolutely enjoyed our time at this property. It is located close to Cruz Bay, is secluded and the views are breathtaking. They house is very unique and has a ton of space. The pool was a great place to start and end our day. Katja was easily accessible for any and all questions. They were able to stock our kitchen with the provisions we asked for abs gave us some recommendations on different places to eat and charter companies to book with. When we come back to St. John we will definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous Views, Next level cleanliness and ease of living

The views were amazing. We brought our own household products and were impressed with how much was provided for us (we could have brought less). The layout of the house and bedrooms easily accommodated four couples. High end appliances, beautiful pool, easy access to Town Center. The kitchen was beautifully outfitted and made it feel like we were cooking in our own homes rather than on a vacation property! Bravo. The only comment I would make for future renters, and the hosts will echo this, is that a car is necessary. Despite their closeness, the house is not an easy or safe walking distance from the town center or beaches, but a vehicle gets you there in 5 minutes.

Lovely

Great location with spectacular view. We mostly dined in and the kitchen was well equipped. There were beach towels and chairs available for beach trips. The only surprise so other guests know is there is no on site trash disposal so at check out you need to load it all in a car and drive it to a dumpster. Also to be aware the four bedrooms are all on opposite ends of the house on two levels so for families with little kids it’s not optimal. On the flip side the kids used the pool all of the time. There is a child gate available to secure entry. I would definitely recommend Southern Cross and would happily return.

Location and views for the win!

The view and home layout make it a winner. The home needs updating and maintenance(mainly all the sliding doors in bad shape, several things not working 100%) If you can get past that it's a great place to stay..and we did. It recently changed property management companies so hopefully the needed repairs will be done and maintenance improved. We were met at the dock in Cruz bay and led to the property by Nick and his awesome shirt, a very short, easy drive. Quiet, private location. Spacious, comfortable rooms/beds, great views from the deck and pool. Wouldn't take much to be 5 star.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a really wonderful time at Southern Cross. The location is great, the updates to the house were very comfortable (new appliances/vanities and furniture) we had everything there that we needed. We have a 3 year old and we felt very comfortable with her in the upstairs bedroom, which is a great set up if you want your little ones bedroom close to the master-the bedrooms downstairs seem perfect for a bigger group or older kids as they would have their own space. We had a really wonderful time…always love St. John and we were sad to leave! Spent over a week at Benjamin’s and will definitely return! He mentioned new kitchen cabinets are going in but honestly that will just make all that much better, we were very happy with everything as it was! You won’t be disappointed!

ABSOLUTELY my favorite place we have ever stayed on any of our Caribbean adventures! I would like to tell you all everything we loved about this place but I don't have two weeks to spare. Lol. Location? OMG!!!! Breath taking! Very convenient to Cruz Bay also. Owner was AWESOME and Johnny on the spot with answers to any of our questions. You could tell he had done a ton of remodeling and stated he had other improvements on the way in the next month or two but honestly.....It doesn't need a thing now. We WILL be back and wouldn't even think about staying anywhere else. PARADISE!

Wonderful experience!

Southern Cross Villa was perfect for our group of 8 Adults. When we arrived, Dabney met us at the Jeep rental place and we followed her to Southern Cross where she showed us all around the property and gave us a run-down of do's and dont's. That was our only contact with her because there weren't any problems during our 10 night stay that required us to contact her. The villa is located only 10 minutes from Cruz Bay and is an easy drive once you do it a couple of times. The villa is just as nice in real life as it is in the pictures. The pool itself and view from the pool area is unbelievable. The villa is plenty big for 8 people and the kitchen has everything you will need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are also spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had a great experience renting this villa and would definitely rent it again. It was also a pleasant experience dealing with Christine, the property owner. She was always very prompt at returning my emails and answering any questions I had.

"ALMOST THE PERFECT VILLA!"

9 out of 10! My husband & I have been to St. John numerous times and are ALWAYS in search of "the perfect villa for US." Southern Cross is a beautiful, private & gorgeous villa offering you everything anybody could want. The location is to die for being so close to Cruz Bay, the 2 grocery stores, shopping, restaurants and all beaches. A jeep is highly advised. The villa is clean, well-cared for and very comfortable. There are ceiling fans in each room. The master bedroom off the great room was very roomy with a comfortable king bed & extra large stone bathroom. The large stone shower was extra special. Southern Cross offers a gorgeous deck for cooking on the grill & dining with amazing views & outstanding breezes! The pool deck was fabulous with views "to die for" & I just couldn't stop taking photos of the bay, the surrounding waters & the cliffs! It would have been helpful to have left one of the unused bedrooms located on the pool deck open just to be able to use the bathroom. Owner, Christine was great to work with & always very prompt in answering my questions prior to our arrival. The complimentary drink tickets for The Lime Inn were appreciated & we used them one day for lunch & got to meet her daughter while we were there. Greeter, Daphne was polite but we asked her more questions than she offered. She gave us the impression that she had somewhere to go & was in a bit of a hurry! The only suggestions I would honestly make that would further enhance the enjoyment of this villa would be to perhaps lower the wall-mounted flat screen TV in the great room or put it on a table in the room to make sure you don't have a stiff neck from looking up all week. Also, the outstanding decks with their fabulous views all around could use some more deck furniture placed around to offer more shade areas to relax. We brought up several lounge chairs to the deck & enjoyed great scenery every afternoon along with our favorite cocktail. Finally, it would be a huge advantage if you could swap out one of the newer TVs in the lower bedrooms not being used & put it in the large master that has the older TV. All in all, we enjoyed a very relaxing & enjoyable 9 days spent at Southern Cross. Thank you again for your warm hospitality and for sharing your beautiful villa with us!
