Nestled in the wilderness, the stunning cabin provides a peaceful abode while ensuring detailed attention to your comfort, delight, and convenience. Beginning in 2025, a play and recreation area with badminton and croquet will be available. NOTE: WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS FOR 2027. WE WILL BE UNDERTAKING REPAIRS AND RENOVATIONS FOR THAT PERIOD. OUR APOLOGIES!

Great stay!

We loved the location - beautiful spot right on the river. The house was just as described and more than enough space for our group. Owners were readily available but not intrusive. We'd definitely book again.

Wonderful stay, would’ve loved to stay longer!

Beautiful home, property and lovely spot on the river. We were fishing and stayed here after, and I wished our entire week could’ve been spent here. I felt truly on vacation and we loved grilling out and enjoying the fire in the evening. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful cabin with incredible views. The property owners were very responsive and helpful. Chris had our fire pit ready each evening. Wish we could’ve stayed a few more days. Great place to call home in Cooper Landing!

Home was beautiful and the location was perfect. Loved the firepit and view by the river. We spent most of the time in the back yard. The home was clean, comfortable, easy to find and had plenty of linens and supplies to use. We took advantage of the washer and dryer. Thank you for a perfect home!

Magical Russian River House

The property is immaculate and beautiful. Couldn’t have been more accommodating. The hosts are kind, welcoming and have thought of everything we might need for our comfort and exceptional stay. The Kenai River was mesmerizing and hard to take our eyes away from. Can’t wait to return to Russian River House again!

What a wonderfully maintained piece of property. Was perfect for our needs. Sitting right on the Kenai river gives the house a great relaxing view. We enjoyed our stay.

Gorgeous view

This property was just what we were looking for. A spacious place to relax between fishing excursions. The view with the fire out was amazing. The bath house was a huge bonus! The property managers were so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Would love to go back!

Amazing stay!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with the Rhodes’. The Russian house was amazing and absolutely the cleanest place I have ever stayed. The kitchen was well stocked and Chris and Mezel were so kind to share fresh fish and veggies with us. The steam room and sauna were delightful. The craftsmanship and care that these two put into their home was simply amazing. Oh…the view! The view was spectacular!!!! 10 out of 10 and we couldn’t have been more pleased!

Great Spot Directly on the Kenai River

It is a fantastic and immaculately maintained property directly on the Kenai River with comforts and amenities that you just can't find. Chris was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He walked us through the house on arrival and showed how everything worked. He filled and prepped the firepit every day while we were out and even prepped and lit the woodburning steam room firepit. We couldn't have asked for a better location or experience. Can't wait to return.

Incredible

Book this place right now. The attention to detail that the property owners put into this place is second to none. The entire grounds are beautiful. When you get inside the house and look out of the windows, the views of the river and mountains take your breath away. This is the clear winner of our 17 days in Alaska. The owners are so kind. Chris took care of us, got the fire going for us outside and turned on the sauna when we were ready. When we were leaving our 2 year old asked for Mr. Chris. A wonderful experience from start to finish.

Property and host - amazing!

This property is right on the river! A large window in the living area looks over the river, and we saw a moose swim across one evening. Readily-available binoculars and a telescope added to our moose-watching moment!The property is immaculate! the owner keeps it not only well-maintained, but very clean, which is appreciated. Chris and Mezel greeted us when we arrived and showed us the house. The first night, Chris set up the fire-pit outside. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy it for long since we were tired from the day, but we appreciated his thoughtfulness. The home is well-located - both geographically and on the property. It is off the road, so it is quiet. We did river rafting (available just down the road) and hiking one day, and traveled to Sodoltna the next day for a local farmer's market and local sights, including the wildlife reserve and some hiking on the way home. We would definitely recommend this home for visitors planning time in the Kenai Fjords. Thank you, Chris & Mezel!
