*We are at 8,400 ft elevation. Please research the effects of altitude change prior too booking. Just as cruise lines do not reimburse for sea-sickness, we do not reimburse for altitude sickness. We advise you drink plenty of water on your way and stay hydrated during your stay.*

If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with amazing views, this is it. The aesthetic is so cute and cozy, and the 'special touches' are everywhere. We loved the contrast of the old-school clawfoot tub and the modern hot tub. Ashley’s hospitality is top-tier; having a birthday cake ready for us made the trip so special. Gorgeous little hideaway tucked into the mountains. The host has clearly spent a lot of time curating the decor and making this space cozy. Perfect Getaway

Very clean, very quaint! Perfect place to relax and enjoy time away. Close to Woodland Park but far enough away to feel secluded. Manitou Lake is also nearby. Homeowners have thought of everything in this little haven! Beautiful decor, comfy bed, soft towels and all the amenities! The claw footed tub is perfect for a relaxing soak (bath salts and bath bombs included!)

What a delightful little place! Every time I needed something it was right there. Even things I forgot to bring, she had it right there to use. I felt very cared for even though we never met. The hot tub with view was great. Able to prepare meals on hot plate, nice coffee tea bar. Would recommend as a good place to stay in Forest, about 15 min from town.

I stayed at the Velvet Haven from July 24th to July 31st while my daughter was at camp nearby, and I would gladly stay there again. The bed is big and comfy and the bathroom - with its gorgous clawfoot tub and shower - is thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need. I loved making my coffee at the coffee station in the morning, then sliding the door open and sitting on the vintage couch, listening to the birds. It's near Manitou Lake, and a number of trailheads are within easy distance. The drive in to Woodland Park is easy, and only takes 15-20 minutes - with a wonderful view of Pike's Forest and Pike's Peak itself the entire way.

This was a perfect spot and ideal for what I was looking for. Darling set up and a wonderful location to explore the Woodland Park area in Colorado Springs. I would highly recommend as everything was perfect. Sorry we didn't hit the hot tub, but we ran out of time. I liked the location enough to have spent another day there if I hadn't had to get back to Denver.

Hey there! My name is Ashley Collier and I'm the owner of this little Vintage Velvet Haven. Originally from Missouri, my family and I moved to Colorado in 2020 and it's been absolutely magical! We love all things outdoors and I've always loved taking care of people. Hosting is such a great option for our family because of this. We get to share a little piece of our heaven and meet really awesome people while doing so.

Our neighborhood is surrounded by National Forest! So when you step out of the property, you won't even need to leave the area to hike if you don't want to! Due to being so close to the forest it's very common to encounter wildlife on the property. It's a very quiet, serene neighborhood with much beauty!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

I love decorating! Most short term rentals I've personally stayed in are very plain, clean and modern which I think is great! BUT I wanted to be different and the word cozy is a must for me. From the moment you step into the property you're taken back in time in the most wonderful ways while still having modern amenities that are a must to making your stay convenient.
