My family and I had a wonderful stay at this spacious villa! The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable, giving everyone in the family plenty of space to relax. The highlight was definitely the swimming pool — the kids spent hours playing while we enjoyed lounging nearby. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare family meals, and the outdoor area was perfect for dining together. The location was peaceful and they provide security Guard. Overall, it’s an ideal place for families, and we’d love to come back!

Beautiful Mountain Villa

The Villa Cocoloba was amazing. The accommodations were perfect and the Host was top notch. Nice warm water, clean pool and modern home furnishings made the stay 100% worth it even when we did not step outside of the home.

Beautiful house in the mountains

The house is really nice and clean, its close to many beaches but still away from the noise from the town, we really loved it. The concierge was always very attentive, the only thing is that we would have preferred the pool to be heated but the overall experience was very great.

Private Villa and Private Pool

The private villa and the private pool were amazing. Our family was not interested in condo style unit with a common pool. We wanted a private villa and a private pool and this listing delivered. We were in the pool every morning and every evening the entire time we were there. It was just amazing. It was relaxing and stress free the whole stay. I recommend this listing to anyone who has a family or group and would like a private villa and a private pool. Very, very nice all the way around.

Stunning architecture hides deferred maintenace

Beautiful property not well maintained. Dated appliances, furniture and fixtures. Worn, cracked furniture. Cracked bed pads. Sun shades missing. Low water pressure. Hot water initially provided on a limited timer. After 3 days of cold showers learned to instruct concierge to leave hot water on 24/7. Landscaping neglected. Some ceiling fans and A/C units didn’t work.

Beautiful house and great location.

Had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property over our Thanksgiving holiday. The owner, Alain, is wonderful and very accommodating. Our flight home wasn’t until 8pm and check out is at 11am. He called me to tell me that we can check out anytime. I thought that was so kind and generous of him to offer. We really weren’t sure what we were going to do for all of those hours. Pierre is their 24 hour concierge. He’s so friendly and helpful. Janet comes each day to wash dishes and clean rooms. There are also others who come to the house each day, to fix landscaping and clean the pool and various other things. Overall, this was a great pick. Alain is also very responsive. Any questions or concerns I had before arriving, he answered very promptly.

Great vacation house but make sure you're aware of these details!

We loved our stay at La Villa overall, the house has an amazing view, secluded enough and close enough to town plus the delivery app helps too! My only reservation on this house is there are definitely a few updates needed! The tv in the living room was completely scratched up and the wifi was spotty during our stay. The pool was fun although it had a ton of chlorine in it, to the point of drying your skin out and burning your eyes. And the patio furniture is a bit weathered from the elements. The biggest downside to this house is the HEAT, it gets super super hot, the tarps you see in the pictures were not out so it made it a little unbearable during the day. The living room has no fan or A/C so from about 9 am forward the heat inside is unbearable, especially at night. The need for a fan or A/C in the living room is pretty bad. All in all, the house was fun and a great time, staff was great, just may want to plan for those little inconveniences, but remember the house doesn't make the trip, the trip makes the house so plan around those little things and you'll have a blast!

Beautiful Home and Property

We had two families vacation at the Villa over spring break 2016 with 4 adults and 5 children (ages 10 - 16). The pictures are extremely accurate of the house and views. The pool and rooms were all fabulous and the children all had a great time. Wifi for them was definitely a plus. Alain was prompt with all communications we had prior to our arrival. We flew into Santo Domingo and opted to take the taxi up to La Villa instead of driving ourselves. With the tolls and our late arrival we were happy with our decision. We had asked Alain to request Chef Daniel the first night as our arrival would be in the evening and that worked out very well. Alain also had the refrigerator stocked with some initial breakfast items for the first morning there and Pierre brought us fresh croissants that were a tasty treat. We arranged with Alain two rental cars to be delivered to the house the next day so we would be able to get around to town and all of the beaches. Staff: Pierre was amazing and consistently very helpful. He guided us to the bank, grocery store, to the beach, to the falls and was always willing to help with anything that came up around the house. I know a little bit of French that helped but we also found Google translator was really helpful. Natasha was always cheerful and helpful too! Coson Bay was amazing! We had lunch at "The Beach" restaurant and enjoyed the afternoon at their beach. Playa Bonita was a lot of fun with a nice walkway by the beach. Beach in town has great restaurants for both lunch and dinner. The falls is worth the trip. You're on horses for the first half and walk down the rest of the way. It's definitely a good workout on the way back up! La Villa is a beautiful home!

La Villa - Fantastic Home Base - north shore of Samana penninsula

A very well-equipped home, great layout and design, plenty of bedrooms and baths, commercial kitchen, pool, views and extras in the form of housekeeping and concierge staff that make the stay even more enjoyable. The listing description was accurate but does not really do the home justice. Property was clean and well maintained. Power went off a few times during our stay (not unusual for DR) but the house has a generator that kicks in automatically. Security was not an issue, although the owner does provide 24 hr security. The property is located east of Las Terrenas enroute to El Limon. There is only one other house nearby. The driveway is steep but navigable. Communication with the owner was prompt, courteous and straightforward. Alaine speaks/writes in several languages, including English. The staff are fluent in Spanish and French. Alaine was kind enough to arrange a dinner on the night of our arrival (we were arriving after dark) and did some grocery shopping for us to accommodate breakfast the next morning. We were impressed enough with the chef (Chef Daniel) that we asked him back to prepare a dinner for us later in the week. Las Terrenas is nearby. Grocery shopping is readily conducted in one of two super mercados... plenty of good restaurants abound if you do not want to cook. We visited Samana for whale watching. Would recommend the "Walk the Plank" zip line in El Valle (also visit the El Valle beach). We also drove to Playa Rincon, Coson, and other beautiful beaches nearby. We also visited the El Limon cascade... a beautiful waterfall, very swimmable, but be prepared for hawkers as the only real viable way to get there is by horseback (requires guides). The people were all very gracious and hospitable. The family (6 of us with children from 8 yrs and up) enjoyed the house and related trip and would readily do it again. Thank you Alaine for helping make our trip to DR a very pleasant memory.

Die Villa liegt sehr schön. Sie aber in die Jahre gekommen und es müsste einiges repariert werden.

Nicht schlecht, aber vieles lässt sich verbessern. Besonders in der Küche. Zudem werden den beiden Nachbar-Villen am Wochenende lautstarke Partys gefeiert. Der Whirlpool ist nicht funktionsfähig- er läuft, wann er will, aber nicht wenn man ihn nutzen will. Das Haus und die Zimmer lassen sich nicht abschließen.

The place is beautiful but there’s no HOT WATER, my kids were crying because the water was so cool. The leaving room is super hot, especially at night, with no fan available. The stove was not working. Also, the agency that goes to offer ATV services is horrible you rent them and they give it to you with no gas. the lady who cleaned was great and Michael was there every time I needed something was there.

Beautiful, Welcoming Villa

Our two families (totaling 4 parents and 4 adult children) stayed at the villa for a week over Christmas. The Villa is beautiful, big, clean, with first-rate accoutrements. The view is stunning. The dining areas accommodated all of us whether inside or outside. The people who attend to the Villa -- the concierge, the security guard, the cleaners, and the chefs, were all extremely accommodating, friendly, and helpful. We loved the villa and would be thrilled to have the opportunity to return. Many thanks to Christine for all her help in providing us with such a wonderful vacation.

It’s extremely uncomfortable to get into the property! We were left with our water and electricity

Arriving to the property was extremely difficult! We were left without gas, water and electricity! When I contacted the the host they advised that they would try and fix the issues . Because the doors are electric everyone who was in there room were locked in for 45 and couldn’t get out. No AC due to no electricity and it was about 90 degrees. We could not shower or brush our teeth . When there was electricity the door would open and close all night . When I contacted the host he advised that I should let the security guard know who was asleep every time we needed him

BEAUTIFUL VILLA

Overall the villa is AMAZING. The staff around are very nice and respectful. Only little mishap was the day of arrival villa was not ready until 5, but after that everything else went great! I would definitely stay there again as it truly feels like you are in the middle of paradise!

La Villa Family Vaca

My experience at La Villa was amazing, everything went super smooth. My family and I stayed from Feb 18-21st. Owner, and all the workers were extremely nice and people. We had dinner made on two occasions and the food was great, ordering was super easy. Pierre knows the city super well and he helped us find 4 wheelers, order take out, anything we needed he was there to facilitate. Owner went by the house every day to make sure everything was running smoothly, he was very nice. House is very modern, with big bathrooms in every room. Decoration is beautiful, I wish I had stayed longer so I could enjoy the house more, I used the hot tub in my bedroom every night and it was amazing, there was always hot water available. I can’t wait to be back to La Villa, I highly recommend for a big group that is planning to travel to Las Terrenas, it is a very beautiful, quiet neighborhood with quick easy access to everything.

Xmas week

Where do I start?...Online the house looks great and it is great, style wise very modern. The problems start with all the equipment. The refrigerator is a health hazard, rusty, stuck together with duct tape and mold in various forms. The oven is difficult to use as all the writing has rubbed off on it. The Nespresso coffee machine didn't work, taken away, but never returned. The kitchen sinks didn't have any plugs, or a washing up bowl, so we had to wash up in a large saucepan. The kitchen units had seen better days. One bathroom shower was hanging off the wall, another bathroom had a cracked sink and was leaking onto the floor. some bedroom lights, even though switched off, continually flickered on and off all night. The couch in the lounge was so stained and smelly, so unpleasant. A big problem was the back up generator which was situated under the house where the bedrooms were came on in the middle of the night and kept waking us up as it was so loud. If you are in the bedroom below the swimming pool, the overflow from the pool is draining and sound like running water in the bedroom which was troublesome for our guests to sleep. Another big problem is You Get Charged for Air Conditioning, but we were unaware at time of booking that there are windows in every room that don't have glass in them only bug netting, so basically you are air conditioning the outside!!!! The house is for Sale so I cannot see the owner wishing to address some of the problems....Take plenty of bug spray we have never been bitten so much as the back of the house house is like a tropical rainforest. Couldn't sit outside after sunset approx 6.30pm because of the bugs, which was a shame because the outside area is very pleasant. The house is NOT in walking distance to the beach. Make sure you take plenty of cash with you for your stay as very few places take credit cards. Including restaurants and gas stations.....One very strong plus side, the staff were faultless, although they don't speak English, they went to the extreme to please.

If you like tranquility , family time then you can have it all. Large families and many friends .

Great place, super large and luxury. You can have both worlds forest and ocean views. Everything is close by but if you don't want to leave the property their are workers that can go to the stores for you. The most butifull views and place in Las Terrenas.

Excellent family stay

From the moment we checked in we had Pierre our consierge waiting to greet us. The home is beautiful, the view is beautiful. Janet the cleaning lady does a wonderful job. The owner came by to greet us which was nice. I have to say out other villas I have stayed at this exceeds all of them. Only wish we were closer to the beach but will definitely return. Thank you Alain for sharing your home with us.
