First impressions were good – the ground and first floors were clean and well equipped. The downstairs kitchen has been removed and was being converted to a living space with Murphy bed, which wasn’t quite ready on arrival. While the house appeared generally clean, the oven was dirty and the fridge contained half-used condiments. A damp, musty smell was present downstairs.Outside, the deck is a great size with good seating, but needed cleaning and maintenance. The grill was left dirty from prior users. The pool was enjoyed, though some fence panels require repair, and the listed hot tub was not usable. Under the deck was a dumping area for rubbish, likely due to ongoing work.The property sits beside a busy highway, causing constant noise and vibration. Although advertised as a 10-minute walk to Meschutt Beach, it is actually 1.3 miles (about 25 minutes) – driving is necessary.The house was advertised to sleep 10, but only had beds for 8 on arrival. The living room twin bed did not exist, meaning one guest had to sleep on the couch until a Murphy bed mattress was delivered mid-stay. Once fully finished, sleeping arrangements should meet the listing.
