Summary:
The Bungalow on Big Bear is both roomy and cozy with two levels of decks and far-off mountain views. Bring the whole fam or a large group to the 4 MASTER SUITES! Golf, pool, tennis, and trails galore await in Sky Valley close to Highlands, NC, and Clayton, GA. Roast marshmellows over the outdoor firepit or enjoy the 2 indoor fireplaces. Explore nearby Highlands, Clayton, Helen, Cherokee, Appalachian Trail & Lake Burton for shopping, golf, hiking, wine tasting, zip-lining, or boating.

The Space:
The Bungalow on Big Bear offers so many amenities. Starting with the great outdoor space:
•Two huge open-air decks with seating
•Outdoor fire pit (Solostove) with six Adirondack chairs
•Gas grill w/ 4 burners
•Outdoor tables

Inside offers fun and convenience with more amenities:

•Full kitchen & downstairs kitchenette
•Two full-size refrigerators

•2 electric fireplaces fully functional, warm & cozy
•4 Master BR suites with either king or queen bed and their own full baths

Two floors of cavernous space including 4 master suites, open concept living room/kitchen/dining space. Downstairs game room great for watching the big game or playing pool with the kids.

Access to neighborhood amenities including pool, tennis, hiking and golf.

The Neighborhood:
Sky Valley is wonderful neighborhood with 18 hole golf course, pool, tennis, playground, croquet and local church. Located close to the best of northeast Georgia like Clayton and Helen as well as western North Carolina like Highlands and Cashiers. Don't forget the Appalachian Trail, Lake Burton and so many trails!

Other Things to Note:
While our WiFi is strong, most cell service is not. Verizon does provide some coverage but other cellular providers do not have coverage at the Bungalow.

Interaction with Guests:
We communicate primarily through the App. we also have an on-site property manager whose cell phone number you get.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Instructions and communication were both very clear, the house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our family enjoyed the cozy bungalow in Sky Valley!

Great place to stay!

This was our second summer renting the house. Beautiful view and great neighborhood. Always clean and well-stocked. Beds are comfortable. Pool table a win! Great communication with property manager. Will be going back next year!

The place is Great. Location for us was great. we can drive to all the place we wanted to visit. Its very clean , management is great they keep in touch with you. Highlands is 19 min. Helen 1 hour, cherokee 1 hour. And the complex has a beautiful waterfall. I will definitely recomended and will be staying here again since i been coming to this area every year for 18 years .

Sky Valley in the fall

We enjoyed our stay at the bungalow. Having four bedrooms all with en suites was ideal. It appears the owners have been making improvements to the house. Well done.

Anniversary Trip

Beautiful/clean house that was stocked with everything that we needed. The property manager called us 2x to make sure everything was ok and provide us with restaurant recommendations. We will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic House for a Mountain Getaway

The house was PERFECT for our 4 couples! So nice that each couple had their own bath. We really enjoyed the 2 decks (great patio furniture) and the pool table downstairs! The fireplaces didn't put off much heat, but sure provided a great ambience. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of plates, flatware, wine glasses, casserole dishes, etc. Everything we needed to make a scrumptious breakfast each morning was provided. The location was beautiful with the church bells ringing on the hour up until 9 PM and then taps was played. Enjoyed visiting several waterfalls, Highlands NC, great dining, wine vineyards, and hiking. Big shout out to Mark, the property manager, as his communication was prompt and he gave some great suggestions of places to visit! Would definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying there again in the near future!

My family and I had a wonderful time in Sky valley. The location was beautiful. The home was cozy and warm. It was even decorated for the holidays! A great place to get away from it all and spend some quality family time.

Wonderful NE Georgia retreat

Stayed just a couple days after Christmas, but wish we stayed longer. House arrangement was perfect for our family of 5, but easily could accommodate 2 separate families. Very comfortable, well laid out and included pretty much everything you might need (even had full-size body wash and shampoo in each shower). Community is very nice and great location. Only about 20 minutes to Highlands, NC or Clayton, GA, with tons of things to do - hiking, sightseeing, shopping, dining, etc. Would love to stay here again!

Beautiful Mountain stay

Very nice house just as described. Close enough to grocery stores and antique shopping. Dryer downstairs would never heat up to dry clothes. Used the one upstairs. Plenty of room. Driveway was very steep. Low car had scraped coming in but made it up. The girls enjoyed playing pool for hours. Would recommend for big family

New Owners - new problems

Awful. We were told 3 days before our arrival that the new owners cancelled the satellite TV and we would need to have our own streaming services. 2 days before arrival, we were told there was no WiFi, but it would be fixed while we were there. We negotiated a credit of $300 (we asked for $500). We arrived Sunday, it was supposed to be fixed Tuesday. We called Mark (property manager) Tuesday afternoon and were told the internet tech didn’t show up, but he would keep us posted. We never heard from Mark the rest of our stay. I challenge anyone to host their family for a week over Thanksgiving with no TV or WiFi or cell service (unless you have Verizon). No football. No Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. No holiday movies. Can’t check work emails. Can’t receive text messages/calls from family and friends on Thanksgiving Day. My daughter had a security alert at her home, but didn’t find out about it until the next day when we went into town. SO disruptive! After our trip, I reached out to Mark requesting an additional $500 for the inconvenience. I followed up with him 3 days later, and the owner agreed to add $50 to the $300 credit. Clearly, the new owners DO NOT care about your experience, they only care about taking your money - and we didn’t get what we paid for. While this didn’t ruin our family visit, it added unnecessary stress and frustration to what should have been a relaxing week. We will NEVER rent this house again. PS - we are still waiting for our credit.

Beautiful Property

Beautiful house with four spacious bedrooms and connected bathrooms. Nice view of the mountains. Loved the pool table! Will be renting again next year.

Golf Trip with the Midsouth Seniors Golf Association

Perfect location near the golf course, Three couples all had King beds and ensuite bathrooms. Well stocked up and downstairs kitchens. Driveway is steep but adequate level parking for at least three vehicles. Good views from decks but outdoor furnature could have been more inviting. All in all a great week.

Great place!

We loved this place and it’s perfect for two families as there is a kitchen both downstairs and upstairs. Great view from the patio in the evenings. We look forward to staying here again.

Sky Valley Gem

We enjoyed our stay in the Sky Valley area. This home was a beautiful and comfortable "home away from home" for us. We had everything that we needed for the week. The kitchen was well supplied. There was a Keurig coffee maker both upstairs and downstairs. There were good instructions for TV, wifi and electric fireplace. Beds were comfortable. There is plenty of seating for a large family to have meals. If i could make one suggestion about seating, the upstairs could use a couple of recliners/comfortable chairs for watching TV. The weather was very cold the week we were there, and some insulated drapes at both sliding glass doors upstairs would have helped with heating the den. Mark was very helpful in providing info to us about the home and the area. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience in Sky Valley and we enjoyed staying in this rental.

Absolutely wonderful

We do a whole family get away before Christmas. The house in Sky Valley was perfect. From start to finish everything went smoothly and the house was exactly as advertised. The owner went above and beyond to make the house user friendly. It was better equipped and stocked than any house we have ever stayed in. The furniture was extremely nice; most comfortable beds in a rental I have ever had. The agent was always available and very helpful. I highly recommend this rental and we would definitely reserve these house again. We had a wonderful time. Even the two older teen boys had a good time and loved the house.
