Perfect place to stay while visiting St. John! The hosts were very friendly, stayed in communication and made sure we had no problem getting to our villa. You have everything you need for a fun or relaxing beach day already there for you and can walk to Cruz bay where all the shops and restaurants are located if you didn’t want to drive, perfect location. Will definitely be back!

The perfect stay

Stay Salty is a quaint villa within about 10 minutes from main Cruz Bay. They thought of everything to make our stay perfect. We are ready looking to go back next year!

Indoor outdoor living with a view!

Absolutely loved our stay! Location was perfect! Make sure you understand how to walk to town without walking the large hills. The view and openess of the fresh air was one of our favorites about the property. Perfect space for our family! Would definitely rent again.

Amazing Villa

My husband and I really enjoyed the villa. We have been coming to St. John for many years and this place has become one of our new favorite places to stay and will definitely return to it. It was very spacious and we absolutely loved the indoor/outdoor feel with keeping the doors open. Most times there was a constant breeze so we were able to leave them open most of our trip. The place had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time there.

Wonderful for a reasonably fit couple

We rented this villa for a weeklong trip to celebrate a major anniversary. We found it comfortable, squeaky clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The size is perfect for a couple, though a family on a budget could use the pullouts in the living room and make it work. The screened wrap-around porch has a lovely view of an inlet and the surrounding mountains, with a bit of open ocean, and the pair of swings are a fun touch.The walk to town is reasonably easy, and there's a wooded footpath about a block from the rental, which leads to a small bird sanctuary and beach. By car, it's an easy trip through town to access the National Park sites, though the road out of the neighborhood is in extremely poor repair, so probably best for renters who can withstand a little jarring. Ability to climb stairs is also a must.The owner was very responsive when we contacted her with questions, and we would gladly rent from her again if we returned to St. John.

What a perfect little bungalow! Very accommodating and well stocked with everything we could possibly need during our stay. There was snorkeling gear, beach chairs, coolers with reusable ice packs and water floats all enough for 4. It was very well decorated with Island charm. Most everything in the house seemed to be new. Our 13 and 11 year old kids we're with us for the week and we're very comfortable on the 2 pull out sofas. The location was perfect. Very easy walk to Cruz Bay for dinners. Our Host was easy to contact with any questions and we were personally greeted at the house for Check in the first day. Everything looks just as pictured. We would certainly stay here again.

Stay Salty at Conch Villas was absolutely perfect for our trip to St. John! The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to Cruz Bay, restaurants, and all the fun. We didn’t rent a car, so taxis were a little confusing at first, but Emily and Kelly made it easy by sharing all the cab numbers and tips.The villa itself was spotless, quiet, and stocked with everything we needed. We loved having beach chairs, snorkel gear, and a cooler ready to go for our beach‑hopping days. The backup generator gave us peace of mind during the occasional island outages, and the natural breeze flowing through the house kept it cool and comfortable. We were mindful of conserving water and energy, and it was clear the hosts care deeply about the island and their guests.Our favorite spots were The Banana Deck and Morgan’s Mango for dinner, plus the Lime Out taco boat excursion—so much fun! Emily and Kelly were incredibly responsive and thoughtful, and their recommendations made our stay even better. And a special shout‑out to Julianne for the warm welcome when we arrived.We truly loved our stay and would absolutely return to Stay Salty again. Thank you, Emily and Kelly, for being such fantastic hosts!

I love being a host because I enjoy creating a space where guests can relax, feel comfortable, and fully enjoy their time on St. John. Stay Salty is thoughtfully set up so guests can arrive and settle in easily without stress.

Even though I'm not on island full-time, I care deeply about the guest experience and work closely with Kelly, our wonderful on-island co-host, to make sure everything runs smoothly during your stay. From check-in to check-out, our goal is for you to feel supported, comfortable, and at home while you enjoy the island.

We choose this neighborhood because it offers the best of both worlds: a quiet, peaceful setting with the convenience of being walkable to downtown Cruz Bay. Stay Salty is tucked into a calm pocket of Conch Villas, a small community with only five units, so it feels relaxed and uncrowded.

Guests love being able to walk to restaurants, shops, and the ferry, then come home to a quieter place to unwind after a day of exploring beaches and snorkeling. It's the perfect balance of close to everything without feeling busy.
