The overall stay was okay, the location and apartment was just as described and looked like the pictures. However, there was no hot water when it came time to bathe or use running water. The sheets were also dirty.

Couldn’t find the house due to it being in the alley. More like a basement than a house. Also lots of noise above you.

Property was not ready for check in on time. Listing said jetted tub which there is none. Also says parking available but it was street parking should clarify.Keypad combination did not work. There are 7 foot ceilings and I am 6’5” so it was very uncomfortable for me.Keurig was a nice touch.

Close to Mann Center

I have traveled to the Mann center many times and have suffered through hard to find parking at their lots and even harder to leave after events due to traffic backups. This apartment is about a 3/4 of a mile walk to the center. It was perfect for us and made our evening concert easier to access and a much better experience overall. Despite it being in town it was very quiet and easily accessible. Parking is on the street and not the alleyway but we were able to find parking easily. I will always look for availability at this apartment when attending events at the Mann.

Apartment was modern. Nice. Clean. Spacious. Neighborhood was sketchy but ok. Bit confusing because it’s all houses connected to each other. Instructions didn’t tell us to go down the alley behind it. The alley was not the greatest to drive on. We parked on the street and walked down the alley which was cumbersome. The pictures of the inside are correct but the main pic looks like a church tower . That is not true

No hot water for the shower, and it was dirty. It had someone else's hair in it. There were many small things that could have been improved for a more comfortable stay, but overall it was fine for a quick overnight after a concert.

This is a decent place for a quick stay. It's very close to the Mann Center and an easy walk (1 mile). I wasn't thrilled with the temp in the room and couldn't figure out the A/C at 11:30 at night. Also it is someone's basement and the listing does not disclose that. Wasn't expecting that but it was still very private.

I wish it had been clearer that we would be off the alley. We got in very late after flight delays. It was a way to go to find the place. Also, there were only used rolls of toilet paper. Full rolls would have been nice. Bottled water would have been greatly appreciated. All in all it served our purpose of a place to sleep for the night. Thank you.

The property itself is fine if you’re just needing a space to sleep. I had a frustrating experience after booking the reservation because I been trying to add an additional night to the reservation for a week with no response. I kept getting emails from VRBO asking me to respond with more information (how much more do you need than “I want to add an extra night?), but the email was sent from a “do not reply” address. It was past the time to cancel so I booked an extra/separate night and had to incur those additional fees. The host didn’t seem to be aware of this. So that might be a vrbo issue. The instructions said the entrance is in the back, but did not explain that to get to the back, you have to walk around the block and hike up an alley that is all gravel and rocks. I was dropped off in front with a large bag and 2 big carry-ons, and then had to take that walk with all of that. The only instructions for the lock on the door was what the code would be but not how to use the actual lock. There were gnats flying around in the bedroom. The towels were dingy. And the room itself was damp. That said, I just needed a place to sleep for 2 nights and had full days where I was away from the property, so it worked out ok. There was also a lot of heavy footsteps from the space above, but I’ve lived in basement apartments before and it comes with the territory. The host was nice and responsive once I got there and bed was comfortable.

The place was beyond what we expected . Gorgeous smelled amazing super cleanComfortable and the host was very friendly and accommodating. 10/10 highly recommended

This stay was nice & accommodating for the night- the check in proceeds was confusing because we had to go thru the alley way, it didn’t state it was in someone’s basement so that was odd but overall i good stay

Just what I needed

It was a short visit to Philly for me. I was attending a conference and even though this was not that close to the convention center it was easy to Uber back and forth and was a great place to stay!

Great value

Everything is as described; it is a windowless basement apartment. The entry is off of a trash-strewn alley with uneven and broken concrete paving. The listing mentioned that the unit included an iron and ironing board, which would have been useful. Apparently, the board had been broken by a previous guest. The owner was willing to provide the iron without the board, which we appreciated, but didn't suit our needs. It would have been helpful to know this ahead of time.

Took my son to see a concert at the Mann Center. The place was clean and nice and was a reasonable walk to the park and the Mann.

Spacious basement unit near the Mann

The interior of the unit was spacious and clean. Bed was comfy and had good bedding and lots of pillows. The unit is sparsely furnished and could use a few things to make it more comfortable. Also the entrance required a walk through an alley. My husband and I are city folks so it was fine but someone not comfortable with the city might not like this.

Really pretty little spot

This was a very clean and pretty apartment. Roomy. The outdoor area left a little to be desired but the place itself, was a treat. The host was responsive and friendly.

Philly getaway

Lovely basement apartment with lots of room. Great bathroom and wonderful king bed. Hosts were helpful and understanding. The only issue someone might have is with all the scents- diffusers- used. Otherwise it is terrific!

Very friendly hosts

Diabel & his wife were very friendly and made sure we were comfortable! the downstairs is clean and comfy, even had a kitchen and a green shower light! my partner and i had a great time in philly :)
